Gold Rush Taxi

I've had my fair share of crazy driving and rude taxi driver's until Gold Rush came to the rescue!

They had an old employee working for them who drove like a crazy man and one (AND THE LAST) of the times he picked my friends and I up, we had him pull over and drop us off at the nearest Denny's so we could get out. (Keep in mind it was raining hard out) He was running stop signs, cutting corners, running red lights, wreaked of marijuana and told us that he won't slow down because "That's how Taxi drivers drive". We reported him along with a few others and thankfully, he is now gone.

But don't worry, the story ends well ;)
THEN! To the rescue!!!!!!!!! Up arrives Lisa, from GOLD RUSH taxi. (She's the best) Needless to say, I will never use another taxi service. I got home safe and sounds without a worry. They are great drivers, very polite and have very affordable rates. They are now my go-to! Save their number in your phone because they are nothing short of amazing!!! :)

I highly recommend them.

I called this business to get a taxi and got a "number disconnected" message. So I got a great ride from Lyft. What a joke.

I called them the other night to schedule a pick up/ drop off and it went to a generic voicemail. Then I tried again today and a recorded message says that are not accepting calls right now. So I tried to book online and apparently they have an old version of reCAPTCHA so I can't even send the online form. There's no way to communicate with them.

Three Different Times----
When all the other taxi companies were to busy to help, Gold Rush Taxi was there for me. Even though they were also too busy, they went out of their way to find a way. They are professional and affordable. Trust me. They will make it work.

My very first ever cab ride and the driver was polite, gentlemanly and the price was much more affordable than 2 other companies that I called. Vehicle was clean and roomy for all my stuff. Driver loaded and unloaded all my groceries. I wouldn't hesitate to call again. Pollock Pines.

Everybody was honking the horn they were going so slow I asked him to go faster and he just smiled.

Seems like they are out of business. Neither phone nor website work anymore.

There are 2 or 3 taxi companies here in Placerville. No way I'd use anyone but Gold Rush now. The driver I've had on both occasions is an owner of the business.
I believe being hands on definitely counts towards the quality of service.

The first time I used them the driver was here promptly, and with a smile. I am disabled and use a walker so it's sometimes a challenge to get around.
The driver not only made sure I was able to get in the cab alright, he took care of folding and stowing the walker himself.

My cabbie was fun and there was amiable chit chat. When I got home he helped me to the door, even carrying my packages.

Same thoughtful and fine service the second time I called them.

Now THAT is customer service.

Very great customer service and very polite and helpful. They'll knock on your door instead of honking and they help with your bags, etc. Tory was so kind and generous and gets out of the car to get the door for you. It was a trip comparable to the limos I've been in. Great professional service! He let's you know approximately how many people are ahead of you and times the pick up accordingly so that you don't have to wait too long and if they can't get to you as soon as 'you'd like', he'll call for another car to come get you... sweet!

Called for a drunk friend.. Was told it would be 20 minutes.. An hour later he still wasn't picked up and drove drunk ... Calling on the spot next time... Luckily he made it safe and didn't kill someone
