1 review for Goethe Park
I love public parks, but I was a little disappointed with Goethe Park. Seemed a little like Ghetto Park. Things I liked about Goethe Park is access to the American River and the pedestrian/bike bridge over the river, which actually leads to what seems like a better park called the William Pond recreation center. There are some nice trails for walking along the river, spotting wildlife, and having a breath of fresh air. What I didn't like was paying $4 to get in and then the bathrooms being locked up and having to use porta-potty's instead. Also, you'll need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to drive the road to the day camp area because of the great big holes in the road. But even if you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle, don't waste your time because the Day Camp Area isn't kept as neat as the picnic area. The main attraction here seemed to be the bike trails.
