2855 Stevens Creek BoulevardHonestly? All Godiva chocolates have this weird plastic aftertaste to me. I don't know if it comes from the production process, or if it is somehow absorbed from the packaging...but for the prices they're asking I just expect a lot better.
I can't complain about this location. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and the store is always clean. I just think that overall, it isn't worthwhile. There's much better chocolate across the street at Joseph Schmidt's.

Way Overpriced!!!
We came here for a Chocolate dipped Strawberries and two tiny chocolates the size of my pinkie and the total was like $12.
Trippin'!!!
The chocoberry didn't even look great. It looked like it had sat there for a while. Bad presentation. Probably will never go again.

If I reviewed every Godiva store that I've been to, I'd have more reviews than Walker S. (http://www.yelp.com/us...) has friends!!! Hmmm... on 2nd thought, I don't think I've been to over 10,000 Godiva stores just yet. Walker, you are still the champ! You are to Yelp, what Tila Tequila is to Myspace! But please, do not start wearing skimpy clothes and doing MTV shows. And the last thing I want to see is you on one of those import racer magazines! Okay? Thanks!
Anyway, Godiva (like Teuscher http://www.yelp.com/bi...) is one of those stores where you get yourself something when you want to reward yourself (or someone else). It is expensive! But, in my opinion, worth the price. I once had a friend who just took a truffle from my gold bag of Godiva chocolates without asking and popped the delicacy in his mouth, chomped on it about 3 times and then swallowed it. As I said at that beginning of that sentence, "I once had a friend....." As stated previously, Godiva is expensive! I don't mind sharing, but please don't eat a Godiva chocolate like it's Whitman's from your local drug store. You MUST savor it! You must take at least 3 bites from a piece, but I will let it go if it's only 2. You must chew on it for awhile to get the full flavor. Am I being a little to idiosyncratic when it comes to my Godiva? Yes! Don't like it? Buy your own then! Sheesh!
This branch is the closest to my house, so I will come here pretty often. The service is usually good, but lately it's been lacking. There is one particular individual there that for some reason likes to stare. I don't know, maybe I have a booger in my nose or something.
My favorites:
Dark Chocolate Elixir drink (Even if you don't like Dark Chocolate, get this one. It tastes a lot better than the milk chocolate)
Roasted Almond Truffle
Hazelnut Praline Truffle
Dark Chocolate Ganache
Open Oyster
Hazelnut Praline cookies
Praline Cascade (Sadly, discontinued. But, they have a seasonal white chick that tastes the same. And when I say white chick, I mean white CHOCOLATE chick)

I only purchase Godiva Chocolate for holidays.. just for Christmas and Valentine's Day to be exact. Once I went here on Valentine's Day.. and never again - the line was out the door! But since they've remodeled.. I don't remember which layout I liked better.
Anyhoo... This year, I came the day before Valentine's Day to get everyone on my checklist their Valentine. The manager is wonderful, he's so nice and funny. It was busy, maybe I'll come in a few days early next year - OR - give belated Valentine's because I just went on their website.. and all their Valentine's chocolate is on sale! 50% off chocolate! Yay!

Blah, don't care for Godiva at all!! What's the big deal with this place? Prices are high and the chocolates don't even taste good at all! I prefer Sees!!! :) But I have to admit that their hot chocolate is pretty good but this alone wouldn't have me coming back for more..the prices are just too ridiculous for me.

I do love booze but I'll admit I love Godiva almost just as much!
The chocolaty goodness melts in my mouth with such lovliness.
Their chocolates are pretty good, their choco-covered strawberries are way overpriced. $3.50 for one medium strawberry! I go to safeway and get strawberries and chocolate and make my own choco-covered strawberries for under $10.00. The last time I was here, the customer service was great. Just this one sales associate Regina was a rude skanky a-- b---...okay I'm done. =P
THANK YOU CONNIE!
Godiva's recipes have remained unchanged since they took their items off grocery store and supermarket shelves in order to copy See's business plan of individual retail outlets.
Sadly, it's worked. People can justify paying such horribly wretched, inflated prices because they mistakenly believe they are getting better quality. NOT SO!
You can make your own chocolate dipped fruit by purchasing the chocolate dip at your local market and bringing it home! It's much fresher anyway!!!!
Nordstrom didn't have my size for that pair of espadrille I had my eye on for a week now. I'm bummed.
At times like this, I like to cheer myself up with an amazing, decadent chocolate truffle to erase my frustrations away.
Can it get any better than that?

it's all about the chocolate dipped large strawberries! staff is always pleasant and very helpful.
Hmmssss....I know you're all thinking "How could you give Godiva 3.5 stars?!" Well its simple my mom gives me boxes of Godiva Chocolates about once every month or every other month. I've had about every single chocolate in there. I've had the truffles, the dark chocolates, the white chocolates the dessert chocolates, pralines, ganache. Seriously I've had about every single box of Godiva chocolates they've had whether it be the truffle collection and so forth usually each box contained about 36 pieces and up. The biggest box I've received was the 70 piece box. Yes you could say I am a little bit tired of them....but hey I still appreciate their quality of ingredients.
So about the chocolates yea they are definitely dense and creamy, it doesn't have the cheap airy texture inside the chocolates. The flavor is rich and decadent w/o being to overwhelmingly sweet. You can leave them out in the air for a few days and they will last.
The only chocolates I've hadn't had from here is the fruits and the G collection. I just can't bring myself to get the fruits because I just buy some fresh fruits from Whole Foods Market and Nutella and I'm happy w/ that. Besides you can use Nutella for various things...one includes playing w/ your lover. ~_^
Ok so I admit maybe I am tired of them as they all start tasting the same to me, they definitely need more variety. A more burst of flavor. But every time I get them I give most of it to my 3 sibs

Sinfully delicous and sinfully expensive. They are currently in the process of changing their entire packaging so all of their gold boxes are 40% off while supplies last.
I absolutely adores their truffles, especially the limited edition summer ones when they come out with the tart citrus fillings wrapped in a jacket of white chocolate or dark chocolate... mmmm....!
There is also a Godiva outlet in the Cabazon outlets near Palm Springs. No change in quality or staleness, just a slight drop in price because it is in a outlet shopping center.

In my opinion, the only thing worth REALLY buying here, is their chocolate dipped fresh fruit. I wish more places did this. I can eat the hell out of some fruit dipped in chocolate. The rest of the stuff you can buy at a lot of places. If you get on their mailing list, they'll send you coupons to get free chocolates... totally worth getting on their mailing list for.

Godiva is very well marketed, but very poorly made chocolate.
Have you ever read the ingredients list?????
They use hydrogenated palm oil, which basically turns into plastic once it gets in your body. They also have AGAR listed as an ingredient. All of you biology majors prolly know that AGAR is a jelly used to breed bacteria in a pietri dish. What it's doing in chocolate, I don't know. But it shouldn't be there.
I guess they have to use a lot of artificial crap and preservatives, since they mass produce the chocolate, and give it an indefinite shelf life...
MOVE OUT THE WAY BITCHES....MY FAT ASS IS COMING THROUGH FOR THE CHOCOLATE DIPPED STRAWBERRIES....
***Tackles people in the doorway***
**inhales two strawberries**
"Hmmmmm.....2lbs heavier, stomach fuller, mind and mouth in exstacy.....delicious"

In addition to their collection of truffles, I absolutely, absolutely love their Milk Chocolate Heart with Hazelnut Praline.
Some prefer Leonidas over Godiva. Me? I don't care which one... they are both good! But of course, Godiva is more accessible here.
The perfect afternoon pick me up after being in the mall waa-hay too long. $1.50 for a bottle of SmartWater (they had some that weren't in the fridge which is what I wanted, which is why I walked into the store) and another $1.50 for one perfect extra dark chocolate truffle. $3 well spent.
I'm starting to have my sweet tooth addiction once again. Just recently I went in to buy their champagne truffle and loved it! I love biting in the crisp outter shell and then immediately experiencing the smooth soft truffle - champagne to top it off! I treated the husband to a simply decandent and sinfull dark chocolate elixir. Pricey, but so worth the splurge! Don't skimp on the whip cream and chocolate syrup, please!
Come here the day after a major holiday! Like Chanukah! You can find something wonderful for cheap. I cannot handle their normal prices, so it is infrequent that I eat their chocolate. However, when I do, I love it.
