I was sad to hear about the former owner passing away last year. She was very sweet. And she was very knowledgeable. But the new owners are doing a great job! I always feel welcome there and the selection is excellent.
I have visited the new health food store down the street, but their selection is not as varied and the customer service is lacking in my opinion.
I have found some items for cheaper at a bigger chain store that will remain nameless. But for the close proximity and friendly service, I'm ok with paying the extra 10-20 cents more.
If you want friendly folks to greet/help you and a great selection this is the place for you!
I really like this place. It's small and a bit overpriced (like all health nutty stores) but a good independent business so I can front the extra dollar or so. I still haven't found a gluten free pasta that I like but that isn't their fault--the stuff's just nasty.
I'm definitely not objective on this place - my parents own it! It definitely needed some work done, the old owners had let it go a bit, if you ask me. But if you're into not only health food, but homemade sandwiches and soups every day - check it out!
I've shopped once or twice at pretty much the only health food store in Sunnyside. Actually, another has opened recently, called Nourish.
Go Natural seems like an okay place to do some bit shopping, perhaps pick up some vitamin supplements. The stock is very limited due to the size of the store, so I don't do much shopping here. I can either find what I need at other stores in the area, or pick up other natural items at Westerly in midtown near where I work.
I believe they also offer a juice bar. I haven't taken advantage of that yet, but hope to some time soon.
If you live in the area, it's worth stopping by to see if they have anything you may need. Most likely, you'll have to get it somewhere else.
