First, a disclaimer. I've been a client of Tony's for some time. The main reason is that Tony has consistently delivers a great hair cut that not only looks fabulous when you leave but grows out amazingly. He's easy to be around, not too chatty (I find chatty chatty hairdressers disconcerting) and listens to what you need for your lifestyle (i.e. sometimes I don't have time to blow dry!)
Glow salon is nice and conveniently located right downtown. I've never had a problem parking which is a plus. And I like the products they sell in their retail store.
For years, I consistently get compliments on my hair AND hair color and I can thank Tony and Glow salon for that!
I came to Milwaukee for a wedding, and the bride and I came to Glow to get our hair done for the big event. I had Tina, she had Tony. I have shoulder length hair, and I just wanted big curls. I loved what Tina did! So fun and flirty. I also had my eyebrows waxed and was very pleased with the results. The best part came when I checked out. I'm so used to San Francisco prices, that I was stunned to learn my do was only $30. Wow.
Tony did a great job with my friend's hair. She looked fabulous with her big curls. Unfortunately, about an hour after we left the salon, her curls were completely gone and her hair was flat. The bridesmaids were able to salvage it for her, but for her $100 do, I think Tony should have made sure that it lasted all night!
Feeling when leaving: Awesome!
After shampooing the next day look: not bad, i just need to style it a little.
One week check: mmm. ok I guess

Went in for a cut with Tony and here's what went down:
The locale:
Convenient downtown location, next to a nice restaurant. Access to public transport and there's parking too if you happen to drive.
Atmosphere:
Super clean and nice, yet a little lacking. They were playing decent music, but the salon wasn't full of energy, esp for a Friday night. The walls are super plain - not much to look at when you are sitting there.
Ok Ok - The cut:
I was super happy with the cut (*this is rare). Tony was confident and experienced, big pluses in my book. He took my suggestions and ran with them. Felt great leaving the salon, the post-at-home-wash was pretty good, I'm just waiting to see how it grows out, but I'm sure it will be great.
Bottom line: Great salon - I'll be back
I love this place!!! I have been going to this salon for about two years and have always had amazing results. Tina is great. My color and cut turn out perfect every time. It is a little more expensive than I wish it was, but you get what you pay for when it comes to hair...
I was perfectly happy with my usual salon, but a promotional company came into my office a few months back offering a super hard to turn down spa package at GLOW so I figured what the heck?! I finally made the appointment for a cut, figuring I'd hold off on coloring until I decided whether or not I trust the place. I was randomly assigned to Lauren as my stylist, and let me just say - she is awesome! She is the FIRST stylist I've ever worked with who when I said "just a trim" she didn't proceed to lop of at least 2 inches more than I preferred. On top of that, the cut is excellent, and she was very helpful in showing me how to style the new 'do. We talked on that occasion about my ideas for color - she sounded really into what I was thinking and I felt confident in her skills, so I made the appointment for the following week. Again - she did a terrific job and I will definitely continue going to GLOW and working with Lauren.
Sidenote: the salon itself could use a little more character - it is kind of bare but hey -when you like someone, you've got to stick with them!
