Review Highlights
This is a good restaurant for any day of the week.
Friendly and attentive staff, good food and service.
Entrees can be pricy, so I stick to the sandwiches mostly and they are yummy.
Went to Glory Days last night for dinner. They have lots of beer on tap which is awesome but if you would like more you have to flag someone down to get it. I left my water cup at the end of the table for almost 10 minutes before I had to flag one of the girls down (good looking, all brunettes though). If I wasn't so lazy I could have gotten up and gone to the bar to get water. The food was excellent a bit pricy I though for the amount. $7 for 4 potato skins. We had the steak salad, nice that they seperate all the ingredients on the plate so you can eat or not eat what you please, plenty of steak, would have liked a little more lettuce as I did order a salad. We also had the fish and chips, huge piece of fish and the fries were gigantic although not very many of them.
Overall will go back for a good meal!
Let's see.... Sports Bar, Football Season, and Glory Days answering machine says they open Sundays at noon???
I wish I could have tried the food...but I will be dropping my cash at another establishment.
Chill place, good atmosphere. I'm usually there for lunch . Their Apple Valley salad and Salmon Club are really good. I've tried their Chicken Philly Cheese Steak as a healthier option to the regular Philly Cheese Cheese and it wasn't satisfied. Chicken was a little dry and flavorless. Cheese fondue was a little ordinary. Everything else, no complaints. Good prices for lunch, especially if you're a sports fan like myself you can get updated!
I finally had a change to visit Glory Day's this week. I took my son and we sat on the outside patio. The weather was beautiful.
Our waitress, Kristin I think, was awesome. She brought out my son's fruit before the meal (she must know kids hate waiting for food) and she brought his drink in a to-go cup with a lid. You would be amazed how many places give my 3 year old a glass water cup.
I ordered a chicken sandwich and my son had the chicken strips. Both meals were delicious. My water was regularly refilled and the place had a very friendly and relaxed feel. I was surprised at how varied the menu was and will try the Pasta or NY Steak next time.
I loved the private lot in the back for easy parking. It's downtown and I didn't have to fight for a street spot.
I eat at Glory Days about 3 or 4 times a month. Their food is great and service is terrific =D Kristin is the best waitress in Morgan Hill...friendly, attentive and did I mention, awesome?! I usually get a chicken caesar salad, but instead of caesar dressing, I order their great vinaigrette dressing. Glory Days serves everything from pasta to pizza.
I went with a few friends on a Saturday night. We showed up at about 8, sat down right away, and had a pleasant server experience. We practically had the place to ourselves after 9pm, as only one other group remained there until they closed (10PM).
The food was great (I had a cheeseburger and some garlic fries), but we were a little surprised at the end when the bill came.
Our server rang our credit card through for $4 more than the original-pre-tip bill. When we showed her she was quick to offer to take it off and re-ring it, but we just decided to put it towards her tip.
So, in summary: The food is great, the server was nice, but check your bill before you pay.
They've got one of the best hamburgers in town, and the rest of their menu is surprisingly versatile and good for a sports bar.
Why the -1 star? Well, for one, the quality is uneven. We come here often and maybe 1 out of 5 times burgers are overcooked, etc. Also, the only real sports fans here are football fans (if even that) and there isn't much attention played to other sports.
Glory Days is my favorite place in Morgan Hill. When me and my friends get together we have a great meal here, a beer, and watch sports. It seem perfectly fine to have 1 person in my party wearing a suit, 1 casual clothes, and 1 just out of the gym. It's a relaxing place that I highly recommend.
This is our favorite sports bar in MH. The quality of the food is excellent, you can see a television from any seat in the house, and the beer is cold and perfect with their incredible burgers!
They've improved on their staffing levels from the past, and now we get really good and fast service whatever day of the week we show up. In fact, one of the waitresses there knows my order from memory (Thanks, Desiree!)--not that I'm a creature of habit or anything... :)
Intimate atmosphere, cold beer, sports and burgers. What more can you ask for?
I love that it's a Sports Bar with GREAT Tasting food.
The burgers are big and juicy.
The salads are stacked and fulfilling.
The appetizers are different & yummy.
I've been here dozens of times and the service is always good.
It's good for kids, my son is 10 & he loves it!
They have TVs in the bathroom!!!
what more do you need?
A sports bar with wonderful food and friendly service. This is not the dripping in oil bar food at most sports bars, instead, you get a nice smattering of California food supported by a few classics.
This is a nice little place - definitely a sports bar, but also family friendly. Don't expect fast service when you go (Da Hill's service sector leaves a lot to be desired - this isn't just this restaurant) but do expect some delicious food. Try the garlic fries (yum!) or the chicken quesadilla!
Sitting outside is nice when the weather is good, too.
Went here for lunch and had the tailgater burger with fries. I wasn't to happy about the price being 9.50 but when I asked about what fixins come with the burger for no additional cost the bartender said you can put whatever you want on it for the same price so that justified the price a little. I got cheddar cheese, avocado, bacon, mushrooms and grilled onions. When I got my burger about 15 minutes later it was piled high. I asked for it to be done medium but it was definitly rare. I'm not really into a rare burger (i'm not sure if anybody is) but I ate it anyway and it wasn't 1/2 bad. The fries were on the lukewarm side so all in all it wasn't the greatest but if I came back and had the burger cooked right and the fries hot I would guess it would be A-OK.
I didn't have any beer but there draft selection looked like a small handful of beers especially for a sports pub.
Must be a pretty popular place for a weekday lunch it was packed.
This is not only a great sports bar, but it is a Morgan Hill must. The food is excellent and the service is always great. Nicki is our favorite server, but all the other servers are just as good. They are courteous and friendly and as fast as the kitchen makes the food. By the way, they have the bests SOUP in the entire area. Keep it up Debra! This place is the best.
This is often one of my first dinner choices when visiting friends in Morgan Hill. I tend to be pretty fond of Morgan Hill establishments because they're not as yuppy-ish and pretentious as so many other places in the south bay. Glory Days is a place where you can get good food (not great, but good) with very friendly service and orders that are never screwed up. This place has a very relaxed atmosphere and is definitely popular with the Morgan Hill locals. I also really appreciate the fact that they have a decent wine selection for a sports-bar type of place. Don't expect fine-dining, just expect well-made food served by friendly people.
Kristin Jones is by far the Best waitress! :)
Sports bar and restaurant with seating for 75. Food is absolutely wonderful, but after being open for close to a year the customer service sucks. We've been 4 times in 6 months and each time it took over an hour to get our food.
We recently began frequenting this sports bar again. It's more of a restaurant that just happens to have some TVs than a stereotypical sports bar. When a game's on, you may very well be the only person in the place cheering at a good play.
The food is really good: burgers, sandwiches, soups, even the pasta--and I'm picky about my pasta.
I really like this place, their burgers are the best in town, and their other sandwhiches have always been great too. It has a sports bar atmosphere which is fine by me, this place is way, way, way, better than the "other" sports bar in town....
The hamburger here is great and the salmon in the salmon club was cooked perfectly. I have never had a bad meal here but the atmosphere leaves a little something to be desired. Other than that this is a quality place.
Great hamburgers and fries. I like the way they offer this on the menu. youcan build your burger. Don't build to high, they are very generous and you won't get your mouth around it. LOL. Mushroom soup is yummy.
It's alright...Okay it's f 'in fabulous! OMG!
This is one of the better restaurants in Morgan Hill, but I don't seem to go here that often. The food is definitely good, with yummy salads, burgers and sandwiches. The atmosphere is okay, probably a lot better if you're into sports (which I'm not so I'm biased.) For some reason I don't typically think of this place when I'm choosing to dine out. Maybe they need to do something more to draw people in?
Burgers are solid. The rest of the menu is solid. Cool little place.
