Let me first get the bad out of the way.
Do not order Bloody Marys here. LOADED with lime juice, it was cheek puckering and undrinkable - Perhaps that's the Salvadorian version.
Secondly, I find nothing much more annoying than to ask a question of a server and receive a dead-end response of "I don't know". That happened here - and has happened at other restaurants as well. Are servers really so stupid as to think they shouldn't offer to find the answer???? Oh well, tips tell.
Lastly, brunch was to include a bowl of fresh fruit - it never materialized.
So, I'm being very judicious by only eliminating one star, allowing the fantastic quality, taste and presentation of the food to tip the balance.
Our meals were fabulous. You won't find it on their web site, but they offer a Sunday brunch offering a fairly extensive menu of many varieties of omelets and egg dishes. Gloria's will surely be a new addition to my list of brunch destinations.
I don't recall the name of either dish, but both mine and my friend's were artfully presented using striking food color patterns against a stark background of white tableware. I love pretty food - it tastes better.
Positioned in the middle of an oblong plate, my flavorful egg scramble Mexican consisted of onion, jalapeno pepper, tomato, and perhaps a few other colorful ingredients to boost the eye appeal. The egg was cooked to a soft scramble, still moist and the dice of veggies were al dente. To one side were amazingly creamy refried beans topped with crumbles of Queso Blanco and to the other, a colorful pico salad with a rounded scoop of a smooth avocado blend. All in all, this was a VERY hearty breakfast and could easily be shared by two.
My friend had a traditional lunch combo of chicken enchilada in a wonderfully spicy red sauce (yes, I tasted), beef crunchy taco and fantastically tender and flavorful beef fajita style soft taco (yep! tasted that too). This was sided with refried beans and white rice intermixed with corn and green peas.
The interior is casual, although stunningly appointed in various hues of red. An outdoor patio runs the length of the restaurant and offers nearly as much seating as the indoor area. Every Friday and Saturday, live salsa music is performed by Orquesta Caribbean Breeze.

Hey this place is great. Has excellent meat quality and a do-die-for black bean dip. The prices can get lofty, but the food will never dissapoint...unless you get the wrong thing.
It takes a few times going here to find what suits you on the menu, so don't be to bold and stick with what you think you would like.
