pros... still my favorite place for lunch! why cause it is right downstairs from the clinic. which means i can get away from the clinic every once in a while. or i can call and they will deliver my food/drink to me and the staff at work.
they have also named a drink after me...well i kinda helped, but it is called the Jolhito, a play on mojito. with some ice, secret blend of tea, a shot of some itialian syrups and some muddled mint leaves, i can drink this in seconds, so refreshing and so tasty. perfect pick me up for those long 12 hour days at work.
new favorite sandwich, a play on the old grilled cheese sandwich with a global twist. we call it a tremetzano con cinque fromagi, which in english is, a 5 cheese sandwich. sounds so much better in italian.
lastly, they will be offering new hours of service. they are now open on sundays, which is great. and they will be having some dinner service as well. they will have a special night time menu which is bound to be awesome. so same great personalized service, with just better hours.
oh and they have a credit card machine now. this helps cause i often don't have any cash on me. now i can go there anytime, i just bring my card with me.
cons... nothing, not a one!

Love it! Can't say enough good things about the Global Cafe. I came here on a recommendation from my buddy Joel who co-owns the Acupuncture Clinic upstairs from the cafe (another big recommendation). I always trust Joel's recommendation because no one knows food, or how to EAT quite like Joel. And once again, he's failed to disappoint.
The Global Cafe is great! I had the ham and cheese croissant and it was absolutely delicious. Randall and Frederica (the owners) are fantastic, friendly people and make all of their customers feel like family. Randall's tried out a couple of new dishes on us each time I've been there and they've always been very flavorful.
Now, I'm a bit of a coffee snob and you've gotta be pretty good to get my coffee stamp of approval - and the Global Cafe get's mine! They make a fantastic cappuccino and carry one of the better lines of local organic coffees here in San Diego.
Stop by the Global Cafe, grab some lunch and be sure to sample one of the delicious cupcakes before you leave! You won't be disappointed.
Another great experience at Global Cafe when I tried the croissant sandwich. Totally delish. Also got a kickass iced coffee full of secret ingredients.
I'm holding out the 5th star for when they get wi-fi. This place is really good.
Note: cards are only accepted for orders over $10.

I have tried several coffees and sandwiches and have yet to be disappointed, rather my expectations are exceeded each time. The owners are genuinely friendly people who care both about the quality of the food and the customers satisfaction. The kind of place you want to recommend all your friends too.
Also they have the best iced coffee here!
Met Randall today, hello, a former chef from the Venetian in LV?? I see where the fantastic flavours are coming from!
This time got to try fresh brewed coffee, Blue Sky, fantastic black with 1 sugar, smokey and rich, will not disappoint.
Got the BOCADILLO again (Like I said, I'm addicted) and it's as fantastic as ever. You know what, the service here is so friendly, don't rush, enjoy! Had a fantastic vegetable soup with brocolli, bow tie pasta/farfalle, shaved parmesan, and garlic olive oil, fantastic! My friend Melissa got the croissant with ham and provolone (it also comes with goronzola, but she deferred) I could tell she loved it. To finish, our wonderful host brought over a fresh strawberry cupcake, OMG, so fresh, so moist, and the frosting? What can I say, it's not cloyingly sweet, fresh, sweet, and light. I also had a madeleine with my coffee, can't complain! =)
Come visit this place, there's more to it than delicious coffee, if you're lucky, you might get there on LASAGNA day (fresh pasta, not from the box, made with love, OMG, flash back to Rome in '94)....

I AM A BOCADILLO ADDICT. No Italian good eats in Bonita since Buon Giorno left, I was very excited… Read more »
I searched "organic" restaurants on yelp and came across this place. Read the reviews and was intrigued. I finally made my way to try it and let me tell you it was impressive! the look of the cafe is very welcoming and the people working only made the experience even more. The food that we ordered was beyond good. With one bit of a sandwich i could taste all the different flavors. Fresh Parmesan, arugula, fresh bread, and the meat was amazing. so if you are ever in Bonita stop by and check it out. You will feel the same way as i did
The coffee is really good and the owners are super friendly. The best drink that I have tried is the Mother Theresa. It has coffee, chocolate, and a banana. YUM My favorite food out of this place is the eggplant and the salads. Starbucks does not compare with this place. If you live in South Bay give it a try.
