Wow. All I can say is that I am glad I live in Denver and Glacier is not easily accessible. I might be there everyday otherwise.
I had Pink Cadillac-strawberry ice cream with Oreos and Funky Donkey-peanut butter ice cream with fudge and oreos-and it is hard to saw which was better!
The girl who scooped my order had no problem giving me a half scoop of each so I could have both without consuming mass amounts of ice cream. She also let me try quite a few flavors before I chose(they make it hard to decide! ) all with a smile.
If you're nearby....just do it! -

DELICIOUS! Funky Donkey & chocolate peanut butter is my personal fave but I have never gotten a bad cone at Glacier! Highly recommended!

We live close enough to walk here so it is a little less damaging to the waistline ;-)
That said, it is still worth the drive. The flavors are amazing, and they change so keep coming back! My favorite so far has been the blueberry cheesecake ice cream...
Get a small size and you will still have plenty to be satisfied.
Also, they will let you try as many flavors as you want so don't be shy, ask and then buy!
And if you like chocolate, they have homemade chocolates in store as well - expensive but very very good! -

What an exciting day it was when Glacier Ice Cream came to town bringing all their fantabulous flavors with them. I did feel a little bit bad for Snow Mountain Creamery which is just down the road, but so far it seems there is room enough for both of these creameries in Longmont.
Glacier's claim to fame is probably their creative flavors, so let me give you a sampling to whet your appetite:
Peanut Butter Blast - Cookie dough, chocolate chip cookies, and peanut butter cups mixed in peanut butter ice cream
Fresh Colorado Peach - Made in the summertime with tree ripened Colorado peaches
Girl Scout Thin Mint - Thin mint cookies in peppermint ice cream (just tried this one last night!)
And do not pass go without trying their gelato. They have an extensive range of flavors of this creamy treat too. So good.
This Glacier is in a new building near Starbucks and Vitamin Cottage on north Main. They service has always been super friendly. -

Simply delicious. Their gelato is outstanding, I'm might even go as far to say as better than ice cream. Yet lower in fat... WOW!
My family and I have eaten here several times, as well as have gotten pints for home. Skip DQ, and get real quality here!! -

We stopped here because we saw the word Gelato. Ok, I admit that I saw it and convinced others to stop. The goal was to purchase a few pints for after our evening meal and to share with others.
This place was packed! Once we got inside it was difficult to maneuver.
-1 star because it is more expensive to choose your own flavor for the pints. In order to get a good price, you had to choose one of their prepackaged pints. Although I did appreciate the lower priced option...don't get me wrong.
4 stars because this was some excellent gelato with unique flavors. They offered flavors that I had never seen before so check it out. -

Love it, lots of flavors, lots of tasting, nom nom. Do take the time to visit them, definitely worth it. Not sure about the outdoor seating situation. Also check out the truffles in the chocolate case - made locally and delicious!

Wow!
This really is homemade ice cream! I never expected to find real ice cream in a store.
Pralines & Cream, Chunky Donkey, Birthday Cake, to some caramel blended with salt!
Again I sayz, Wow! Grab a pint to go. -

Great flavors, quality and service. LOVE going to Glacier. The husband gets ice cream, I get gelato, and the world is right. Not too sweet, tons of flavor.

Ice cream, gelato, sorbet - all in one place! There is no doubt that this is the best place for ice cream in town and they have the best selection of flavors. Prices are very reasonable, considering the quality and quantity of what you get. I've been in there a few times over the last couple of months and there's always the same person behind the ice cream counter (must be the time I go - in the evening,) but he is so helpful and very knowledgeable about the processes that go into making various products, and he makes some really good suggestions on combining flavors. They have a margarita sorbet - yes, with tequila - that I'm looking forward to serving as dessert after a Mexican dinner.

Glacier has a wonderful selection of flavors. Peanut Butter Blast is my personal favorite, but I always have to get pumpkin when it's in season. Staff is friendly and happy to offer sample tastes when you're having trouble deciding. Best ice cream and gelato in town.
