giving 3 stars but being generous. Was part of a big dinner party and there was a mix of satisfied diners. Personally, my veal was ok. It was a bit thin but tasted good. My main issue was the overly sour sauce and spahetti sitting in a pile of water. It takes a few extra seconds to drain pasta. Everyone elses pasta was not drained well either. I literally picked up my plate and pour out almost a 1/4 cup of water. It waters down the sauce as well.
Service was not too bad considering we had a large party. I would say there were more unsatisfied of us that satisfied and I dont think we were picky or had overly high standards.
The sauce was so sour I thought it had vinegar in it. Portion sizes were modest to say the least. -

My fiance and I decided to try Giotti's since we live down the street and hadn't been there yet. Service wasn't terrible, but it did take about ten minutes from the time we were finished eating until the time the girl asked if we were finished - it was clear that we had been for some time.
Food was just eh - I couldn't finish my eggplant ravioli due to lack of flavor, and my fiance only ate a quarter of his steak panini. He took the rest home and threw it away. We definitely won't be going back, just for the sheer fact that there are definitely better Italian restaurants in the area. Tuscano and Gabriella are 1,000x better than this place and are very reasonably priced. -

Worst dining experiece I have had in years! They forgot two out of ten of our orders. Are you kidding me forgettiing orders!!!
Food mediocre at best. Marinara sauce tasted like ketsup and the meatballs were only served lukewarm. Don't waste your money here. -

had to update my review after our experience here tonight. our waitress was horrible, complaining to us from the time we sat down about how she didn't make any money tonight, she has kids to support, and the restaurant has been doing horrible and giotti is not running it properly. but she forgot to bring our drinks until we reminded her, she was gruff and unprofessional, our pasta primavera and stromboli were just bad. how dissappointing the change from our last visit. i won't be back again after the experience tonight...horrible waitress and dissapointing food.
in addition to the improvements needed in the service and kitchen, they are strangely lacking in an identity. is this a casual pizza place or a higher-end italian place? they seem like they are trying to be both, or in the middle, but they fail on both counts. fix the problems and figure out what you want to be and just do it well!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Service was pleasant enough, but the food was unexceptional. Meatballs were tasteless and red sauce bland. Risotto special did not have asparagus as promised, but something green and unidentifiable. Swordfish was dry and bland. Crab bisque had very few solids, mostly just thick broth. Not going back. Blast of cold air every time the door was opened.

Service was great. The food was okay. Its byob (and for some reason has a bar? Umm.. why?). I had the lobster ravioli. All in all an alright place to grab basic "Ameritalian" food. Comparable to olive garden as far as the food quality is concerned. I give it three stars just because our service was very good. It's just not interesting enough of a place to keep me coming back.

I have been a regular for a while but lately food quality and variety are going down. The owner should call Gordon Ramsey to see if he can help.

I went for the lunch buffet the other day. They have coupons in the Clipper & The guide news, 5 dollars off any 20 dollar order. The buffet consisted of pasta, salads, mini pizza, stuffed shells, cakes, rolled pizza, veggies in EVOO, mushrooms in sauce stuff like that, italian food. It was alright, service was ok, you can see the kitchen area right there too, pretty neat, most of the food was fresh and hot.
There were a few take out orders while we waited, prices seemed Ok, I'll try Giotti's for dinner some night. I'd suggest trying it yourself! -

I am not a huge fan of Italian food but my husband wanted to take me out for a nice dinner. Our sitter cancelled at the last minute and instead of us breaking our plans we decided to just bring the kiddos along.
Okay first of all, we have 3 boys ages 5, 4, and 2.
I was worried when we first arrived because it seemed a bit dressy and my boys couldn't stay "dressed up" for more than 5 minutes before they start tearing off clothing.
I was quickly put at ease by the friendly hostess and our waiter who was equally friendly.
The bread was great and my egg plant parmigiana was great. My kids had the spaghetti which must have been delicious because all three cleaned their plates (which is rare). My husband said probably 2 sentences throughout our dinner because he was so busy eating and I believe the sentences had something to do with how good the food was.
We will definitely be going back, alone, so we can try out the wine menu and have that nice quiet dinner we were wanting on that evening. -

I used to be a fan of this place but now feel only so-so about it. The food is generally good (pizza, strombolies, etc.), but prices have recently been raised, presumably a casualty of the current economic conditions. Service is usually pretty decent when I've eaten there but call in orders sometimes tend to get mixed up. To their credit, they have typically corrected their mistakes when this has happened.
