I'm pretty picky about pizza. I like it thin but not too crunchy. Your basic New York style pizza with just a little less oil and sauce. If you like it anything like I do, this is your place.
But this is not just a pizza joint. The atmosphere is nice and the balance of the menu is slightly creative but mostly basic Italian with a modern slant. They have a decent selection of wine and a great Martini menu. The staff is friendly and just to top off the evening......GELATO! The serving is huge and is a must share with friends. Or better yet ask for it in a styro cup and eat the rest as a late night snack.

A very nice place to grab a bite when I'm shopping till I drop at the Ellenton Outlets! The interior is very nice and not what you would expect from a strip mall restaurant. I have only had the Pizza, which is HUGE and great for sharing. The ingredients are very fresh and the pizza is thin and crispy. The service was nice and attentive and the staff very friendly.
They also have Gelato which is pretty good. I have not tried the pasta but it looks great. I will be back to try the martinis!
I love Gio's. The food is great and the servers are very friendly. The chicken picatta is my favorite thing on the menu and the pizza isn't bad either.
