This restaurant and lounge has been around a long time, at least back to well before I was in High School. In fact, this was one of the places that our high school football team (the Mighty Midgets of Estherville) would go for dinner after the big game. It's located near the south shore of Big Spirit Lake and features pan fried chicken and ribs among other offerings.
I have stopped by occasionally over the years and have enjoyed the local ambience and the food for the most part. Most recently, my parents had a so so meal there, where they felt that the service was rushed and the particular dish that they usually enjoyed, wasn't really very good. On the other hand things have gotten a lot better since Iowa finally banned indoor smoking in restuarants. I remember one time a few years back going in with my mother and every single person except us was smoking!
