What!?! I finally go to review Gingerlily and she's gone! Oh, wow... That's bad news for a lot of people.
I'm not a cupcake fan, but these are/were something else. The only cupcakes I would ever recommend. The only cupcakes I've ever craved. Mary is caring and gifted. I hope she doesn't stop baking. I'm going to miss you and your goodies. Mary, Mary, Mary... Best wishes. -

Saw the booth at the Mira Mesa farmers market and just had to stop and get one. I ordered, according to so many suggestions, the hummingbird cupcake. It looked and sounded so good my friend got one as well. We were told to wait and eat them at room temp, so we did.
The cupcake itself looked pretty but it tasted even better. It was both dense and moist with a surprisingly light frosting. My friend and I both enjoyed ours and agreed that it reminded us more of a banana bread type cake versus a cupcake type cake. -

I waited two weeks to try a Gingerlily cupcake. I read that they were at the Mira Mesa Farmer's Market on Tuesdays, but they weren't there when i went last week. I went again this week and spotted the tent. I got in the back of that long line like an excited little puppy.
I only ordered one cupcake because i didn't want to spoil my appetite for dinner. I hand selected the Hummingbird cupcake, which the lady described as a banana, pineapple cupcake with pecan bits and cream cheese frosting. Sprinkled on top were also bits of pecan and one cubed sized pineapple to serve as the cupcake topper. The taste was even better than the appearance. It was evident that the cupcake was made from the freshest ingredients and not loaded with all the sugar and sweet additives. Had such as homemade taste to them. Very light and very very delicious.
You bet I'll be back for more! -

My girlfriend picked up some cupcakes from Gingerlily for a wedding cupcake tasting, and as her maid-of-honor, I had the difficult task of helping her decide whether they were wedding worthy or not. I'm happy to report that these are the best freaking cupcakes I've ever eaten in my life!! She got about seven different flavors and I wish I could remember their names, but they were all excellent. I think it's the cream cheese frosting that makes it sooooo good. Oh! And the super moist cake. AMAZING!
If I didn't live all the way in LA, I'd probably be cursing these delicious little cakes for making me gain so much weight, but unfortunately/fortunately, I live about two hours away, so I just have to wait until my girlfriend's wedding to taste these pieces of heaven again. ::drool:: -

I have no doubts whatsoever about choosing Gingerlily for my daughter's baptism. I got a 9inch Tiramisu layer cake and then an assortment of other white-frosting cupcakes.
TASTE- Now, I'm not the absolute best home cook/baker out there, but I dabble once in a while and on an awesomely awesome day I just might make a dessert that comes out juuust right! That's what Gingerlily cupcakes remind me of - a ridiculously super good day in the kitchen for the home baker!..but apparently for Mary that's EVERYDAY! That's because her treats really taste homemade in the sense that the ingredients are simple and fresh, and nothing you can't pronounce or identify, and that she has the process down to a science.
-tiramisu layer cake - to keep w/ the all-white theme, mary did this in cream cheese frosting (although a few guests and i sort of sensed that tasted a little like coconut?? maybe since she used the same cream cheese frosting but omitted the chocolate curls per my request...). I think I might have liked the espresso to come through a bit more, but I have a feeling that it was a little drowned out because of the white frosting that i requested. I think this might taste better as a cupcake, and definitely WITH the chocolate curls and cocoa dusting to add a bit more bitterness. Don't change a good thing!
-Hummingbird - described perfectly by previous reviewer. Totally tastes like the most amazing and vamped up banana bread EVER. A must for people who prefer a muffin over a traditional cupcake. I loved all the little bits of fruit and nuts in this and by far my guests' favorite.
-red velvet - some might judge me for this, but i'm a total red velvet disser! that's only because i don't see the big deal about it.. take away the cream cheese frosting, and red velvet cake is just BLAH. Lucky for Mary, her cakes have just the perfect density and moistness, and when combined w/ her kick@$$ cream cheese frosting, it's pretty darn good! i'd probably eat an old shoe if it was slathered in this frosting! so although red velvet will probably never ever be my favorite, I think hers are the best compared to others I've had, and are a must-have at parties because there is such a huge following for this flavor apparently!
-chocolate ganache - definitely not that cake-from-a-box flavor some might be used to, but REAL chocolate lovers will appreciate this one! It tastes like REAL chocolate because it is! When I have a good day in the kitchen baking chocolate goodies, THIS is what it tastes like. Just the right amount of sweetness, the tiniest hint of bitterness from the chocolate. That's what I'm talkin about! And I loved how when I got to the middle of the cupcake there was a creamy ball of chocolate ganache waiting for me! Had cream cheese on top of this too at the baptism and it was good, but I bet it would be even better w/ just the chocolate frosting.
-Lemon Curd - I'm personally not the biggest lemon fan out there, but this cupcake ROCKED! I loved the curd...totally reminds me of the flavor of lemon bars made from scratch, except these are light and fluffy with the perfect subtly flavored cream frosting to counterbalance the strong flavor of the curd. LOVE this one!
-Killer Coconut - I think this was my favorite, granted I'm a huuuge coconut fan in general! ;) Super light in texture, and just enough coconut flavor so you know it's there w/out it tasting like you're drinking a bottle of lotion from bath and body works. I could keep eating these little suckers! MY favorite flavor out of the bunch!
-Frosting - From the pictures, you'd think the frosting was dense and sugary, but it's totally not! Super light and creamy! The cream cheese one had just the perfect tang, and the cream frosting on top of the lemon curd one was a pleasant and subtly sweet. For frosting as light and airy as this, I'm surprised it held up so well!
-Aesthetics - As mentioned in other reviews, the cupcakes definitely didn't look like the ones she had on the website, but they were still beautiful and appealing. I'm wondering if the ones on the website were special order for a fancy event. Well, doesn't matter cuz I'd still eat it even if it was just globbed onto the cupcakes w/ a spatula! and btw the 9in cake was gorgeous!
-Price - Listen well.. you canNOT find cupcakes with this quality and flavor for this price! Only way to get them is to try to make them yourself by practicing every single day until you come up with the perfect homemade batch, orrrrr...just shell out the extra $ and let mary do the work!
-Customer Service - This isn't a huge operation, and I sense Mary does most of the stuff herself. I prefer communicating by email, and if you're the same way, just don't expect her to be answering your emails the second u send them.Probably better to call..but she DOES check her email when she can, answers all your questions, is flexible, and addresses all details so your order comes out perfectl -

The stars say it all. The cupcakes are literally the best cupcakes that I have ever had. As a dessert lover I have had quite a few.
I first had them at a bridal shower. I tried the tiramisu cupcake and a lemon cupcake (having just one was too hard).
Today I stopped by the Mission Hills Farmer's Market looking for cheese and stumbled upon the Gingerlilly stand. Remembering my previously amazing experience, I stopped at her booth and pulled all my available cash out. Thankfully I had enough for a cupcake. I chose the Hummingbird and man oh man was it amazing.
The frosting is cream cheese, which in my opinion is the best frosting option. The cupcake itself was like banana bread with walnuts and coconut and all kinds of amazing flavors. It was so moist and fluffy and delicious. Seriously, one cupcake is just not enough. Must have more!!!!
Man I wish I had more cash to buy more cupcakes. AHHHHH!!!!!
I am going to have to start going to more Farmer's Markets just to get more cupcakes.
On another awesome note, the box for to go cupcakes is made out of compostable materials.
Delicious cupcakes and environmentally conscious business. 5 stars for the win. -

Driving down Mira Mesa Blvd yesterday I noticed the Farmer's Market... I thought to myself.. Gingerlily Cupcakes are there today!! I've been wanting to try them! So I decided to take a little detour from my errands that day.
I immediately saw the booth when I was walking. I walked straight up to it and started to read the different types of cupcakes on her list. She then was telling me of others she had that weren't listed. She mentioned one tiramisu so I automatically wanted that one. It's one of my favorite desserts. I also got the red velvet and hummingbird.
The tiramisu cupcake was amazing. Looking at it, just seemed plain to me, then surprise there is some chocolate hidden inside. This cupcake was my favorite of the three.
The red velvet was really good. Flavor full of chocolate!
Hummingbird was amazing. I love the taste of pineapple in a cupcake. Very delicious!
Frosting on all three was really good. Very creamy!
I chatted with the owner for a little bit when she was boxing up my cupcakes. She was very nice!
Homemade cupcakes are the best. I will definitely go back for more!Listed in: I love desserts!

The tiramisu cupcake I got today at the Mission Hills Farmers Market is literally the best cupcake I ever had!!!
I bought four flavors (prices were 1 for $3, 2 for $5, 4 for $9), I ate the tiramisu one first, it was so good I ate the blood orange one not much later, I didn't like that one nearly as much. The chocolate cupcake base was not nearly as good as the vanilla or white cake or whatever the other one is.
These cupcakes are definitely worth a trip to the farmers market! -

I saw Gingerlily at the Poway Farmer's Market around 11:30am and she was completely sold out!
Luckily I've hard her cupcakes before at the Mira Mesa farmer's market. Her cupcakes are very good, a perfect balance of flavor and sweetness, and very moist.
1 for $2.50 and 4 for $9. -

After reading all these great reviews, I went to track down the awesome cupcake lady at the Mira Mesa Farmer's Market. She was really nice and best of all, her cupcakes were amazing!! So moist and yummy. I got dozen of different ones and my family's favorite were the chocolate ganache and chocolate/hazelnut - YUM :) Banana bread also delicious.
Will be back for more soon!!! -

Fantastic cupcakes. Best I've had in San Diego and I've tried many. I bought chocolate mango and the ginger. The chocolate mango was filled with a fresh mango filling and the chocolate ganache frosting was delectable, a deep rich chocolate flavor (ditto for the cupcake itself). The ginger cupcake was delicious. Lots of ginger flavor which went perfectly with the cream cheese frosting. The cupcakes weren't dry or heavy, but were perfect in consistency. And they weren't too sweet. The frostings were perfect.
I highly recommend these cupcakes, but be sure to get to the Poway Farmers Market early as she is one popular lady! I had to wait some time in line before buying my cupcakes and she was rapidly selling out. -

Seriously the best cupcakes in San Diego -and yes, I've tried the competition. I ordered 5 dozen for my children's birthday party and there was a serious silence over the crowd when people were eating these little bits of heaven. Children were begging for more of the chocolate. Adults loved the fresh ginger and real coconut.
These cupcakes are real food not the artificial color and science ingredients that you get at big box stores. These cupcakes were the best investment by far! People are still talking about them! -

Best kept sweet secret in San Diego
This place has the best cupcakes I've ever tasted, better then Sprinkles, and Heavenly Cupcakes. Even better tasting desserts then extraordinary desserts.
Top notch service. Not only did Mary fill my order perfectly but she also delivered exactly on time.
My favorite has to be the chocolate cupcake hands down. The frosting is so light and fluffy it's the perfectly compliment to the cake which was moist and full of flavor. Absolutely delicious.
I could really tell that it was fresh baked and made with excellent ingredients.
Unlike the other cupcake places these ones are fresh so the don't get hard and dry waiting around in a display case.
I would highly recommend Gingerlily Bakery! -
Review from Grace C.
Had the hummingbird and red velvet cupcakes. Both excellent ! taste much better, lighter, and less fatty than Sprinkles cupcake and similar. I like the real fruit pieces. I need to find out if she has a storefront so that I can just go buy her cupcakes there without waiting a whole week for the farmers market to come back!

Mary's cupcakes are fantastic. You can taste the fresh ingredients. My husband and I have tried the red velvet, the chocolate, the hummingbird, the carrot cake -- they were ALL simply amazing!! Her prices are also great too, since she sells her cupcakes at stands at farmer markets.
I ordered 200 for my sister's wedding -- and she did a great job with them. (By far, the greatest price compared to other cupcakeries.) My sister was pleased and says that they will get some for their monthiversaries.

Ordered a dozen for my BFF Allison's hubby's graduation. 4 chocolate, 4 red velvets and 4 hummingbirds.
I am a true chocolate lover, so I absolutely devoured the chocolate. Allison and I agreed that the chocolate frosting was delish and not too sweet. I think the frosting was more of a dark chocolate w/a distinct cocoa flavor. I loved it, but bewware if you're not a dark chocolate fan. My bf was all over the red velvets. They're very moist and cream cheese is perfect. The hummingbbirds tasted similar to a carrot cake, but lighter.
All in all, Mary (owner) was the sweetest thing when I picked my order up. I wish she was my neighbor, so I could always bother her for some freshly baked cupcakes.
I don't know what it is, but I'm hooked to these cupcakes!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Fresh and moist cupcakes. Some of the best cupcakes I've had. Gingerlily has got it goin' on. Her facebook is very helpful and provides updates of what cupcakes she just made and what markets she will be at. So sad she won't be at the Poway Farmer's Market anymore but you can catch her at Mira Mesa or Mission Hills. Go try her stuff out, you'll be hooked. She also takes special orders, talk about sharing the goods! Really nice lady who seems to have a knack for baked goods. All her cupcakes are good but Killer Coconut and Carrot Sublime are my favorites. Seriously don't be fooled by cupcakes from a Farmers Market, they are better than anything you'll find in an expensive bakery! Nom on.

My strategy in life is to tell my sister about good places I hear about through the grapevine, and convince her to go get them and bring them back to me since I'm too busy to go do it myself (shh don't tell her of this plot).
So JoJo P. and I relay back to one another about our cupcake adventures: where are the best ones in SD? why do so many places suck? is it too hard just to get a good red velvet cupcake that doesn't taste like something my easy-bake oven would make? Anyways, she told me about Gingerlily, and I knew I had to try it (aka convince my sister to go get some).
This morning my dreams finally came true! I got to try half of the red velvet and the hummingbird (banana, coconut, tropical deliciousness). Both were VERY good! The cream cheese on the red velvet was ridiculously fresh....almost like they had just milked the cow for the milk used in the frosting. The cake was also very moist. It had that "homemade" taste. The hummingbird tasted like your grandma's banana nut bread on steroids with a heaping scoop of coconut (and something else tropical) frosting. It was very interesting. I can't believe I haven't tried a banana nut cupcake until now...it seems so easy! Caution: you have to be a banana nut person to like this. If you don't care for that type of bread, then try something different (apparently they have many different flavors, which I wouldn't know since I didn't go buy these, ha!)
I think they mostly sell these cupcakes at farmers markets....I wish they would open up a store though, because I definitely would go....make my sister bring them to me every day. -

So, my daughter's teacher had ordered Sprinkles cupcakes for her class (nice teacher--those things are pricey!) I have had one Sprinkles cupcake and it was good. I don't really care for cupcakes, or cake in general, to be honest. However, that Sprinkles cupcake kinda changed my mind. After my daughter came home raving about her cupcake experience, I decided to yelp Sprinkles. Hmmmm.....many people were mentioning this "Gingerlily" bakery....what is this Gingerlily? I yelped Gingerlily. FIVE stars. 31 reviews, all FIVE stars?? I had to get in on some of this action!! I decided I was gonna head over to Mission Hills Farmer's Market to experience the Gingerlily hubbub for myself.
For being all the cupcake rage, the canopy where the Gingerlily Bakery is located is quite unpretentious--looks like any other farmer's market tent.
I got 6 cupcakes. $14. My daughter got the chocolate w/choc icing. The icing was good, daughter says cupcake was good, too, but it was gone before i had a chance to ask for a teeny bite!! other daughter got the famous hummingbird (banana w/cream cheese icing & pineapple?) wow, she devoured hers, as well!! I got the Mango. Hot damn!!! it was just a simple vanilla cupcake w/i blob of mango filling and cream cheese icing, but wow, wow. I do not know what this woman does to make these cupcakes so good...i cannot figure out how she gets that consistency. they're dense, but moist. very moist. they taste like she just now baked it and handed it over to you--so fresh.
I will be back for more cupcakes.... :D -

I dream about Gingerlily cupcakes. Having been raised by a mom who was an outstanding baker, and having a sister who owned a bakery, I am very particular about the sweets that I eat. If it's going past my lips, it better be good.
Mary's cupcakes are exceptional! Not only do they look beautiful, but they are soft and flavorful and melt in your mouth. PLUS, she even has some with fillings. Wow! If it wasn't enough to eat a delicious soft cake with an amazing creamy soft cream cheese icing, how bout a bonus of a shot of some light fruity cream on the inside. These things are over the top! So good! Gingerlily would be an easy choice for me if I were having an event and wanted nothing short of the best. -
Review from Hayley H.
My sister and are cupcake junkies and one of my sisters Yelp friends suggested we try Gingerlily. Driving to Poway I felt like I was miles away from San Diego...The Farmer's market is set in Old Town, and aside from the random horses tethered outside houses, there were men working on a railroad, a flower show and pretty scenery. It's the type of place you want to come on a Sunday just to walk around. One major plus over this farmers market compared to others in SD is that parking vast and numerous. I had no problem finding a spot right in front of the market.
When I found the Gingerlily tent, I asked the owner what the most popular flavors were...she pointed out several, but I settled on the Hummingbird (I had my heart set on it all week!) and he red velvet (my base comparison for any cupcake).
http://www.yelp.com/bi...
The Hummingbird is quite good. It tastes like a huge hunk of banana bread with chunks of pineapple and coconut flakes stuffed inside. The frosting is very cream-cheesy and had a good consistency. I also think there was some coconut and lemon in the frosting which sets it apart from its typical counterparts.
The red-velvet was good...not Sprinkles good, but you could taste the fresh ingredients.
I agree with the other Yelpers that the cupcakes were not as large or as prettily decorated as on the Gingerlily website, but if i was baking dozens of cupcakes, I don't think I would be that precise either.
I'm not sure if I would go here again anytime soon simply because of the location. But I do give the owners props for the ingredients and eco-friendly containers. -

These are cupcakes made with love. Well, along with some butter and sugar too, of course. But, man, does this woman make a mean cupcake. I wandered by her stand at the Mira Mesa farmer's market one day and decided to pick up a cupcake for a friend. I couldn't leave without sampling a few of her free samples, and then somehow ended up leaving the farmer's market with three cupcakes. Yeah, this is why I shouldn't be left unattended at the market.
Well, because of a lesson learned from eons ago, I did not arrive back at the car empty-handed, so the bf forgave me for blowing our grocery money on baked goods. =] He proclaimed the cupcake to be delicious and all was forgiven. So, if you decide to spend lots of money on cupcakes (and I wouldn't blame you if you did such a thing) just make sure you bring one back for your loved one. -
Review from Erin L.
San Diego, CA
Wow. Just... wow. I know the cupcake trend is sweeping the SoCal Nation, and there are a lot of mediocre bakeries jumping on the bandwagon and churning out some so-so cupcakes, but Gingerlily ain't one of them. I had a sample of their coconut cupcake at the Poway Farmers market and was smitten. Walked away with a carrot and red velvet cupcake. This was, hands-down, the BEST red velvet of my life. I know I've said that before, but this time I mean it. Creme fraiche brought a light balance to the dense, rich cake. Most cupcake places make their frosting a cloying distraction from the cake itself. Not here! It was subtle perfection with just a *hint* of sweetness.
My boyfriend devoured the carrot cake while I was asleep (sneaky, sneaky!) but assured me it was as delicious as the red velvet.
The owner is very eco-conscious, which makes me dig this place even more. Gingerlily ALONE will get me out of bed early on Saturday mornings to hit up the farmers market. Now THAT is love. -

Oddly enough, I've never tried their cupcakes which is what everyone is writing about. I love their brownies. It's so good, I've been craving it since I tried it last time at the Poway farmers market. Today I had to go to the Mira Mesa famers market just for the brownie. The brownie is unassuming but it's very velvety, soft and gooey. It's a double fudge style brownie that has little flour that taste almost flourless. It's so good. It reminds of a classic recipe that I tasted at a bake sale in elementary good.

I am picky about the baked goods I eat. After living in LA and tasting Porthos, Jenny's bakery in Carson and the myriad of top notch doughnuts of Long Beach, I am difficult to please ( I am quite glad my partner has not said that).
This bakery is celestial magic in my mouth. They tempt my weight loss progress every bloody week.
The ingredients are organic and fresh. I am usually a big natural/organic/local fanatic; Gingerlily is the messenger of my message.
Mary uses only the choicest creams, flour and local ingredients to create these little pieces of love. I swear, I have not had a simple tart since I made one back in 2003. Get this, frosting is rather simple (sugar, fat and emulsifier), yet every damn place screws it up or complicates it in order to save a buck, except Gingerlily.
I will put it plain. Compare Gingerlily to ANY other bakery and you will cry mercy. From Extraordinary to Champagne to even Porthos, its not a fair match.
One huge downside. By order only, or where I meet them, at the Mira Mesa Farmers Market on Tuesday's from 3-7.
Call her or better yet try a cupcake or tart, then cry those tears of joy will pour out and flood your mind with possibility. -

Best cupcakes ever. You're a fool if you don't give these a try. The chocolate ganache is my favorite, along with the red velvet. I paid $10 for 4. Looks like she raised her prices because I paid $9 for 4 the last time. Or maybe she saw that I was a sucker for cupcakes and decided to charge me a buck more. Either way, they were worth it!

Since the first day I yelp about Gingerlily Cupcake I have been coming every Tuesday still. This is my hush-hush addiction, and I mean my sister and I must have weekly comfort item. Her frosting is whipped light and fluffy to purrr-fection! and it's not over the edge sweet like many others. I swear to yelpers that no other can out beat these heavenly treats. I once thought Sprinkles was the ish that was until I found my soul mate :) Give Gingerlily a try and we might just have to fight for the last Red Velvet.

If Gingerlily had an actual storefront, I'd be in trouble. However, Gingerlily is stationed at various farmer's markets throughout the week. These are the best cupcakes I've ever had. The light frosting is made up of a cream cheese, with just the right amount of fluff and subtle sweet flavor. Cake is very moist and just dissolves in your mouth. I believe most of the recipes consist of organic goods and you can always taste the freshness. I've picked up cupcakes from Gingerlily on several occasions, venture out for something new then always return, to where letdowns don't happen. Definitely beats out gourmet shops for both price and taste - around $2.50 per cupcake. I've learned that investing in a "glamorous" cupcake at other places at double the price, usually will end up in my garbage. And I rarely do not, not consume all my sweets. Try to catch Gingerlily early at the farmer's markets or contact Mary ahead of time, as flavor selection will vary.

Oh man, these are some tasty cupcakes!!!
To say I have a little sweet tooth is a big understatement. Lately I've been craving cupcakes and decided to sample what the city has to offer. Started with a new bakery in Rancho Penasquitos and their cupcakes were so so bad, inedible actually, that I thought they may have killed my desire to eat cupcakes forever.
Fortunately a friend told me, raved actually, about the Gingerlily coconut cupcake she had at the Poway Farmer's Market. Did someone say coconut? Okay you have my attention.
So I headed to the Poway Farmer's Market the next Saturday. Got one each of the 5 usual flavors: chocolate, coconut, carrot, hummingbird, and red velvet. She also had 2 special flavors that day: chocolate with blood orange and ginger. I had one of the latter to round out my half dozen.
They weren't as large or as beautifully frosted as pictured on the website :o( but wow they exceeded my expectation in taste. It took all the self control my spouse and I could muster to not gobble them all in one setting!
I've never been a fan of red velvet, thought the gimmick must be the red color, but that cake was also so good I'm glad I didn't leave it behind. Hummingbird was a flavor I never had before and it was awesome, right up there with the others. IMO ginger is worthy of being a regular in the line up too. And the frostings? Perfect! All the cupcakes were so moist and delicious I couldn't pick a favorite. I'll just have to keep going back until I decide and next time I'll be leaving with a dozen (any better pricing?) because I won't be sharing any of the flavors!
I look forward to trying the chocolate blood orange or any chocolate combos because Gingerlily's chocolate frosting was just as delicious as their cream cheese frosting.
Love these cupcakes, love the bakery's name and also love that the baker uses quality ingredients and ecofriendly packaging.
OK now I need a fix; is it Saturday yet? -

By far the BEST cupcakes around. They hands down beat any "cupcake" shop I have been to. The Hummingbird has been my favorite since the first time I went to the Poways Farmers Market. The Killer Coconut and all Chocolate Flavors are also amazing. Try the special flavors she does, they are different and all very good. I have had the Mango and Honey Cream special cupcakes and both were delish. Its always hard to choose which 4 my boyfriend and I will share.

Oh man these cupcakes are delicious!! After reading the reviews on here, I knew I had to find this hidden gem and luckily the farmer's market is in walking distance of my house. I arrived at her stand and asked the owner what her favorite was. Unfortunately, she couldn't really pick one and I could tell she loved them all! She recommended the "Killer Coconut" to me and and I sampled both the coconut and the ginger which were both fantastic. I'm not a big fan of ginger but boy did it melt on my tongue. I bake pretty often and praise my own cupcakes on how moist they are. However, I have never been able to make my cupcakes light and fluffy like Gingerlily ones. I left with a yummy little coconut cupcake which I devoured once I got home. The frosting was made up of cream cheese and the consistency fit the cupcake's fluffiness perfectly. It was the right amount, unlike some of the more mainstream cupcake places where the amount of frosting is greater than the cupcake and leaves you feeling like a six-year-old boy with a sugar overload. If you are an avid cupcakes eater, this is definitely a place to stop by. Another customer at the stand was hoarding brownies and banana bread slices which is a sign they must be fantastic! SO, if you're not into cupcakes, she has other baked goods available too.
