I've been going here since middle school, 15+ years ago. Bomb PIZZA (the GIANT IS FREAKIN GIANT!!) and a slice is even GIANT!!! They definitely don't try to jew you from toppings. And I'm surprised they don't charge you more for what you get. The BEST PART OF THIS PLACE IS 1. THE ICE....(If you like slurpee's and crushed iced, this place is for you!!) 2. The baby cherry tomatoes on the slices!! SOOO CUTE! this place is really worth it, for parties too! Even if you live far from poway (which i'm sorry if you dont) but you'll want to drive down here for the pizza!

Wanting to eat some New York style pizza we ended up here at Giant New York Pizza on Twin Peaks Road. The pizza is HUGE. It seems like the typical New York pizza joint but what I liked the best is the crushed ice. Yes, I said the crush ice for my drink. It was soft yet fine and you could feel it melting in your mouth.
The pizza hangs about 2 inches off the plate and there's a way how you should eat a new york style pizza. ( I learned) Eat the smaller side first then as you get to the middle fold it in half and continue to eat. The pizza didn't taste oily and the crust was crispy.
I also had the buffalo wings. Not too much of a fan for it. It seemed like it was soaked in hot sauce. I wanted it to be cooked more. They do not provide ranch or blue cheese dressing however they do have some kind of house dressing. They also gave us a little of the yogurt dipping used in Indian food with the naan bread.
It's a hole in the wall shop and the owner/workers seemed very nice too. I over heard someone say that the garlic bread tastes very good. He bought 6 orders of them. A lot of parking and easy to find.
I'd return again. -

Delicious food, great prices, and excellent service. Heck ya I'm a fan!!! We had the pizza special which include a mega-size slice of pizza and a large drink for $4.19. I ordered some fries to make it extra sinful and Ohh, it was so good! Like Nette says below , the ice they use is small enough to fit through your straw and melt in your mouth. So refreshing!!
I'm not from Poway, but when I'm in the area, this is where I'll be stopping to eat. -

Giant pies and decent lunch specials...But a lingering question remains.
I picked up a lunch combo which included a super sized slice and drink. Was good, but there was something a little odd about the cheese. More on that later.
It's a small shop, but enough seats for the lunch rush. They do have a flat screen for your lunchtime enjoyment.
This place is worth it for a lunch fix, but like Teelo said, the quality was a bit cheap. Teelo thought the cheese was imitation ( oil based, not dairy based). I think I agree with that. It just didn't melt, and it sweated oil..Hmm I guess you get what you pay for.
2.5 stars. Half star penalty for the questionable cheese quality. -

The pizza is huge and very tasty. Remember going here as a kid.
4.50 gets you a huge slice of pizza and a large drink. The size of the slice is the side of a pro basketball players foot. Very good! -

I have been coming to this place doe years and have never been dissapointed. They always have great coupons (since they have giant pizzas) and the ingredients are always fresh. Definitely recommend the meatballs as a must have topping :)

This place has the biggest pizzas....their largest one is HUGE! You literally have to tilt the box to get it through the door when you get home. Great for parties though. They also have Greek salads, hamburgers, fried breaded shrimp and gyros. Their food is a really good value. Only like 5 booths to sit in though, it's more of a take-out place. They are family owned and have been there as long as I can remember. Great tasting pizzas, and cheap too! Love their pepperoni. :)

Where should I start. The Pizza is outrageous just order the giant, its more bang for your buck, feeds me and the roommate for at least a week. My favorite item on the menu is the Philly cheesesteak. By far the best one in town. Customer service was good. Good guys dont know if they are from new york though but who cares. The owner of 20 plus years is still back there flipping pizzas. Best shop in poway and maybe in San Diego.

Blech. If you've actually had NY pizza, you'll hate this place. Crust was not tasty, sauce tasted canned. Cheese didn't look real. Pepperoni was definitely NOT real and messed up my stomach for days. Same for my husband. We laugh about this place everytime we drive by. Only plus is I guess the size, can't figure out why else anyone would go there.
