After 2 days I finally got to try Gerald's Chocolates. I was not dissapointed. Gerald's Chocolates is husband and wife business where Beatrice Reed takes care of the front of the store and Gerald Reed makes all the chocolate from scratch and it shows. I spoke with Beatrice and she is the sweetest thing. Speaking with her makes me want to live in Solvang. I do love the love back nature of everyone and people have manners. They say excuse me and thank you.
Now back to Gerald's chocolates. These melt in your mouth and they are just beyond words. I really enjoy Ingebords chocolates, but there is something about Gerald's that is simply amazing. The chocolates have wonderful taste but not too overwhelming. Now I tried every truffle they had plus the chocolate covered graham crackers. Now it is not just 1 cracker, but 2 graham crackers that are covered with chocolate!
This place is so damn good and Beatrice is so sweet, you can't just help but keep going back. It reminds me of when I was a little kid and I had the orginals of See's Candies handing out candy to me during Christmas.
They have only been open 8 weeks, but I can assure you this is a definitely keep sake to the town of Solvang. -

I have never been there myself but I do hope to go one day. My friend went and he was telling me all about Solvang, which I have never ever heard of before in my life. Anyways, so he brought me back a box of chocolates and I was expecting another one of those average boxes that contains half yummy chocolates and half gross ones and you just gotta surprise yourself. So I took a bite outta the first one and was amazed at my luck! So I put it down to save for later since I like to save the best ones for last... and tried a second one.. and it was just as good as the first. So basically, the whole box was just delicious!
