Do you believe in life after love ??

Georgie's Alibi is home to every Madonna, Donna summers and Beyonce music video ever made. And I love it.

My Favorite Thing About this Place  is thier Thursday Nite Special Huge $3.00 Long Islands served in Mason Jars. I know Its insane !!!!
There are about 3 differnt flavors and they are all so yummy.

As Louis B mentiond the music here is kept at a decent level so you wont have to yell at the top of your lungs to the rest of your party.

As far as the Eye candy there is plenty of that . Its just to sad that they dont pitch for my team if you catch my drift. Normally Gay Bars arent very friendly when it comes to straight couples but this place is pretty chill. Now a group of Girlson the other hand  will catch every guys eye and boy are they friendly. The Crowd really depends on the night that you go. It can be anywhere from mid 20 party kids to the grown and sexy group.

Mood to step out of the box and do something a little different this place is a great find.

The food is a lot better now than it was in years past. I believe they really care to compete now. I love the pork sandwich. So good and filling. However, this place is mainly about atmosphere.

Ok. I'll give it three and a half. The inside is just like another gay bar. But what makes this place stand out is the "al fresco" area.  You can actually talk to people and don't have to fear losing your hearing from the "boom-boom" of the house music.

I prefer FLL to SoBe anytime. There are real people in FLL and George's has room for all. And it is located in an almost exclusively LGBT shopping mall.

The service is very prompt and menu selections are much better than at a bar. Fish, chicken, burgers and even Philly-style steak and cheese.

One of my favorite places in South Florida.

This place was recommended by locals.  We wanted to find a nice, calm, fun environment to drink and eat.

This was surely the place.

Great space.  I ordered a Cobb Salad (awesome).  My friend ordered a Cheese Burger w/ Fries.  He found it to be quite tasty.

After eating dinner, we played two games of pool.  Overall, very fun place!!

I will try to stop by this place every night if possible.  Seems to be quite the hangout (locals and visitors).

Everyone loves to knock it, but Alibi's is probably the best bar in Wilton Manors.  Their famous for their drink specials during the week.  Thursdays are the famous Long Island night when you can get a huge $3 long island served in a mason jar - yikes, don't have too many of these!  Tuesdays you can get $2.00 flavored martinis or $1.50 beers on tap.  There's a special every weekday.  Weekends tend to be hit or miss and are never really that great since everyone heads to the dance clubs.

Alibi attracts a broad crowd and there's a room, indoor or out, that everyone likes.  They have pool tables, booths, bars upon bars, and even a swanky Martini room which puts on local singers on a weekly basis.  And since they serve "food"  (Let me re-emphasize the QUOTE food), the inside is non-smoking.  YAY, a non-smoking bar in FL!!

Everyone who's ever been to Fort Lauderdale has been to Georgies Alibi and has more then one story to share.  Neighborhood institution for years and probably several years to come.

For some reason, gays really love this place.

I find it to be alright. It's always super crowded and there is always a line to play the pool tables they have. It's usually filled with an older crowd and random twinks here and there. Their drink specials are really good though, so i'll give them. My fag hag of a best friend always asks the DJ to play the most random of music videos and he always has them. We usually have a good time when we go, but if you are into dancing, go somewhere else. They tell you to leave if you decide to bust a move with a girl friend you bring along!

But if you want to just stand around a loud, crowded bar, then this place is just for you.

This place is CHEAP! I mean seriously cheap.

I was taken to Alibi while visiting friends in FLL. Good atmosphere, nice outdoor seating, great patrons.

The food is nothing special, just regular bar food. We got the onion rings for an appetizer and they were OK. We also ordered Ostrich burgers which came with no tomatoes or lettuce on them. I didn't care because I was toasted by then.

The best part of Alibi is their happy hour and the tokens. They give you a token for a free drink for every drink you order. You can save the tokens and use them on later days. I have never seen that anywhere. It is an excellent concept.

I started drinking rum and soda (because they do not make Mojitos) and moved on to Margaritas. We had 4 cocktails (8 because of buy 1 get 1 free) with premium liquor, an appetizer, and two ostrich burgers for dinner. Our bill was $58. I had to double check it to make sure I am reading it correctly. Honestly, I expected it to be anywhere around $100. May be I am thinking in Chicago terms.

The minus one star is for not making Mojitos and not giving any greens with my burger. I just got meat and cheese.

Did I say our waiter was super hot??

Georgie's Alibi, in the heart of Wilton Manors, is a hip Sports/Video bar that's a cool place to grab a drink, sit on the huge side patio (or front covered patio) and people watch (or be watched.)

FOOD/PATIO:
(Nutshell: If you're on a tight schedule, forget it... but...)

The patio area features food items, drinks, desserts and whatever you want from the bar.  The food tends to be a bit below-average, but that's not really why you go to Alibi anyway.  If you want a greasy snack or a  sandwich, then Abibi's is "ok".  If you've come to Alibi's for a "quick" bite, forget it.  Their service staff, though nominally friendly, tend to be a bit disorganized and slow (note sure why--- understaffed? high attrition? -- poorly managed?...) ...but if you're coming by to relax, kick back, munch down, and hang for a while (sometimes a long while)  , then Alibi's is perfect.

THE BAR:
The inside, which underwent some minor renovations in 2008, has 3 main bars, one in the main video-music area, one in the pool-table sports area, and one in the side-car area (Dana Manchester Room.)  The bartenders are above-average and usually know how to mix a damn good drink. The two front bars are best.  ( The ever-changing drink specials aren't bad either.)

Alibi also has a catering service and can rent the side-car bar area (Dana Manchester Room) for private parties at a reasonable price.

Alibi's features and sponsors a large venue of entertainment year round, from the Pride Parade to the Hurricane Softball league, featured Drag guests to comedians,  car washes to Holiday parties...and the list goes on....

THE MUSIC:
Alibi's has fantastic DJs who have thankfully grasped the sometimes-missing skill of mixing music and videos.  In this day-and-age, it still  amazes me that bars haven't gotten a clue that music is MUCH better when you play the matching video, especially when it's a dance version. It's worth a trip to Alibi, just to jam to the music videos and hang for a while.

No cover.

Food: B-
Price: B ( a decent value for the quality )
Service Patio: B- (sometimes slow in the patio area with less-than-attentive waitstaff.  If you're in a hurry, avoid eating at Georgie's, otherwise, go for it... )
Inside Service Bar: A (great friendly bartenders , most know now to mix a great drink)
Atmosphere/Music: A++ (great music videos, shows and special events)
Front End: NA - No Cover
Location: A  (2.3 miles from downtown Ft. Lauderdale)
Valet parking: NA (Parking available in the Shoppes at Wilton Manors shopping center.)
Overall: A-

I don't think they lable themselves as a full on video bar but they should. Playing pop music all night for the mid 30's crowd it s not so bad.

It has the staple pool table and wrap around bar, but it works. There is also a seperate room off to the back that offers a bit more piece and quiet if you're looking for a place to crawl into a nook and go home with the same people you came with. The drinks are good and the staff is friendly. My friends told me to come here with them if i wanted that certain latin lover but i think i only saw maybe 4, boo.

Where are my latins at?

Better than expected, especially for a bar/restaurant located in a strip mall right next door to a Social Security office.

They're always busy, with or without specials (which tends to be the case). I was there once last summer on a Thursday and got $3 Long Islands served in Mason Bell jars. They also have a full menu of food (sandwiches, salads, wraps, appetizers) and it's not bad either.

I have been wondering though if they took down that portrait of Kramer from Seinfeld ever since, well, you know.

There are several cool things about Georgie's Alibi.  First, there are always drink specials going on;  Where else in this area are you going to find $3 Long Islands?  Second, This place has something to fit whatever mood you're in... Wanna sit outside?  They have a HUGE covered patio area where you can sit outside, drink, chat, watch the music videos and comedy bits from MAD TV, SNL and other shows on the flat screen TVs, and watch the patrons from Boom stagger around the parking lot.  If you're into a sports bar atmosphere and want to play pool, they have that in one area.   Wanna sit at the bar and chat with whoever happens to be around?  They've got that too!   Looking for a smaller, more intimate atmosphere?  There is a smaller space off the main bar area that fits that bill as well.  I've never tried the food here, as this is usually a place to come either before or after we've eaten somewhere else.   The one thing to note about this place is that it usually empties out early on the weekends and everyone (including some of the bartenders and staff) head to the Filling Station or to Sidelines once this place shuts down.  I recently came here at 11:30 on a Friday night, and I think I had 1 beer before we were about the only ones left in the place.

Alibi has been a staple of the gay community in South Florida for decades. I go here when I am in the area for Happy Hour. Two for one drinks and strong. The food is not worth the price. If you want to meet guys in their late 20's to 40's then this is the place to go. Thursday nights are the best time to go $3.00 Long Islands served in Mason Jars. Cant beat that!
