Two words: "Super Chop!" Trust me, these guys know good beer, and when you enjoy theirs, you will too! Another big plus, is that they're live brewers, and are all about sustainability.

As others have mentioned, their current digs are hard to find, but once you do, you'll be rewarded. They are in the process of moving, and that should make it easier to find. To be honest I hope that they keep selling out of the current location, having formerly been home to the second largest brewery in the world, and a current little treasure chest, I'd be sad to see them leave. What can I say, its the history nerd in me.

*Seattle Beer Gods=Manny and Roger
*Only about 10 times better in every way than Mac&Jacks
*they have really dialed in their shop, if you need a barrel or even some growlers for a shin dig, all you gotta know is Georgetown, I recommend a keg of Rogers for that many beers not too full experience around the keg

AMAZING! I am in love with the Superchop. Their growlers are cheap and they exchange them with clean/gased growlers, which is not too common.

Difficult to find but once you are in, everyone offers something to sample and the staff are great.

We ONLY get our kegs from this place and have found that no other brewery beers match Georgetown!

Can you smell that? That sweet, sweet smell of hops. Oh sweet Jesus.

The roommate and I ventured into Georgetown just to come here and are so glad we did.

He left with two gorgeous t-shirts for twenty bucks. Nice t-shirts!

We also left with a growler of Manny's. (Insert more ohs here.)

We sampled the beers and had some great conversation with the girl working.

We also looked into doing a tour. They only do it on the last Monday of each month and you need to have a reservation. The next open date was in May and sadly we will be on a road trip. However, there is a new brewery to be opening and we were promised more tours to be opened in the future. This only make me wish for summer more and more.

Situated in the old Rainier brewery in Georgetown, Georgetown Brewing makes some of the tastiest beers in the biz.  I was there to pick up a keg of Manny's (their bitchin unfiltered pale) and after several "samples", left with an extra three growlers of Chopper Red, Superchopper, and 9lb Porter.

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and all about the beer.  My only complaint is that they do not bottle.  I guess I am coming back to Georgetown to refill.  Cest la Vie.

Not only is the beer great, but these are some the nicest people in all the Seattle beer scene. Mannys is a staple at pretty much every pub worth a damn and for good reason, quality, consistency, flavor, balance, just an all around awesome beer. Rogers Pilsner is one of my favorite beers ever, EVER. It seems like no matter the season, what I'm eating, what time of day it is, Rogers just goes well with everything.

Great deals on growlers, kegs to go, glasses, t-shirts, whatever you need all served up with a smile.

Last but not least, these guys give back to the community that has given to them. Seems like every charity event I go to Manny is there with a keg and smile. Great beer, awsesome people.

Warm beer sucks.

This is one of only a few places in Seattle that I know serve Boddingtons Ale on tap. Great stuff. Smooth as hell. The no-meat menu was a bit disconcerting but apparently vegetarian technology has grown so advanced that they can replicate beef and ham with the likes of tofu, cotton and even assault.

I'm impressed.

Manny's how can I describe my love for thee, let me count the ways.

Your smooth taste, wonderful aroma, golden hue... I want you inside of me.

Seriously though, the brewery is awesome (really, really cool building in Georgetown), the growlers are cheap, the samples are free, and the people are super nice. You can tell that they are doing what they love, both in their happiness, and in the quality of the product. I would almost suggest you not drink Manny's because afterwards you may no longer be satisfied by other beers, but then I'd be robbing you of it's wonderfulness :D.

I haven't yet been to the brewery, but I am here more just to pimp the Manny's Pale Ale.

But seriously Yelpers - a growler of Manny's for $6?  I know I am no dude, but that would be a perfect birthday present in my eyes.  :  )

It's hard as hell to find; no signs on the street, entrance off a loading dock in the back of a dilapidated old factory, and doorway that's clearly marked only if you get out of your car and walk right up to it. The parking lot is treacherous and rutted, the place looks like a health department citation waiting to happen, and the staff sometimes seems terribly distracted. None of that makes a damned bit of difference. Georgetown Brewing is just simply making GREAT - let me repeat that: G-R-E-A-T - ales. GREAT. I would gladly assemble a blind tasting of the best of the local Porters - Mac & Jack's Black Cat, Snoqualmie's Steam Train, Big Al's Smoked, Big Time's Coal Creek, Elysian's Perseus, Maritime Pacific's Bosun's Black, etc.- and let everybody I know evaluate them. I'd bet on the results. And the sucker bet would be that at LEAST 60% of them would name Georgetown's Nine Pound their favorite. I had it first in a restaurant down in Belltown and was so swept away by it that I drove down from Bellevue the next morning, EARLY, (because it was Saturday and, for whatever bizarre reason, they close at NOON on Saturday) just to bring back a growler of it.

Their Manny's, I firmly believe, would be the winner in any poll of local beer lovers for their favorite Pale Ale. It just has everything you want in a great Pale: crisp, spicy, assertive hops, a judicious underpinning of Two-row Pale, Crystal, and Cara-Pilsner Malts, golden color, fresh and vibrant aroma, and a complex, bursting palate of citrus, fig, and melon. The Roger's Pilsner is so hands-down superior to most pilsners made here (and there aren't a ton of 'em) that we're barely talking about the same style of beer. The Roger's is deep and substantial, but light and refreshing at the same time; the best argument for the style you could make to some guy like me who thinks pilsners are mostly wimpy wastes of good malt and hops. And their Chopper Red is stunning; the only other Red made in this area that even comes close is the Maritime Pacific Flagship. My favorite reds are almost all from out of state: Lagunitas "Censored", "Ruderich's Red Seal" from North Coast, Bear Republic "Rocket Red", Calapooia "Flood Stage", and Green Flash "HopHead Red". But Chopper has what all those have in common - BIG bold flavors, a whole rack of spiciness, brilliant hops, and satiny finish.

In terms of local breweries, despite a relatively short roster of available brews, Georgetown is, IMHO, clearly one of the two best breweries in this area, matched only by Mac & Jack's for sheer flavor, consistency and value.

Manny's Pale Ale is a Seattle Classic!

I love Georgetown Brewing the Manny's and 9 lb. porter are great! The brewery is located in the previously bad Rainier beer brewery, what a change for the better. Out with the crappy in the Tasty!

In all fairness, I have never actually BEEN to Georgetown Brewing Company, but I feel completely justified in giving them five stars, as my husband often comes home with $5 growlers filled with Manny's and Chopper's, and subsequently, good times are definitely had by all, if you know what I mean.

And I think you do.

Seriously, though, we heart Georgetown. When the father-in-law is in town, he stocks up on Manny's gear, because he loves beer AND his name is Manny! And we recently procured a pony keg for a party, which provided more than enough beer for days and days to follow as well.

Even if I wanted to go to Georgetown myself, my husband says I would never, ever make it there, as it's pretty hard to find the first time, and I still get lost on the way to ... pretty much anywhere. But that's fine by me. In this case, as long as the husband keeps coming home with beer, I'm a happy camper. And so is the husband, if you know what I mean.

And I think you do.

I love Manny's. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I love Roger's. I love lamp.

Yep, you can get this all over town, but it's even better in your own house! You can get full and pony kegs to pick up at obscenely great prices. Summer's around the corner and kegs are a poppin'!

They're very cool down there and totally lax about getting their kegs back immediately.

Yay for Manny and Roger!

Manny's Pale Ale is my favorite Seattle beer (and it would be my favorite Washington State beer if not for Fish Tale IPA).  Plus these guys are super-nice - they gave free yeast to my homebrewer boyfriend!

This is one of my favorite Seattle-based businesses.

My friends and I attended a WABL (Washington Association of Beer Lover's) event last year and had an awesome time touring the brewery which was guided by Manny himself and tasting the brews on tap.  We were given complimentary Chopper's Red pint glasses and given generous pours right from the taps.  We have not been there to actually buy beer, but definitely will in the future.

Manny's is so addictive that I now visit the Georgetown website when travelling out of town to see where I can find it.  Case in point, they list a restaurant on Orcas Island that serves it!

Stop by the brewery to pick up a $5 growler, and chat with the staff, and get some great swag.  This place is fun!

Insider tip: Give them a smile and it magically turns into a tasting room!

Great beer and Great people! Stop in for a growler fill (half gallon beer holding jug) for only $5.

With only three beers pouring one may be quick to write this place off, but this place commands respect by making 3 damn good beers. The Rogers Pilsner, Choppers Red and Manny Pale ale make up the normal 3 from this brewery.

There is a retail shop with T shirts, hats and pint glasses. They do not function as a bar but do provide samples while you wait for your growlers to be filled.

Off the top of my head they are open till 6 during the week and 9-12 on saturday

Yup.  Another satisfied yelper.

The beer rocks, but that goes without saying.  If you get the chance you should drop by here at some point, meet Manny & Roger, and grab a growler.

Everybody that works there is cool and their schwag is top notch.

Ohhhh how I love you (and how my liver hates you).  This is probably one of the top 3 highlights of living in Georgetown.  Now for those of you who love Manny's in Seattle (which a lot of you do), this is where it's made.  That's right, that yummy beer is made right here in Seattle.

In addition to Manny's they make Rogers (a pilsner) and Choppers (a red) on a regular basis.  Right now they make 9 Lb. Porter and they will eventually make something else in it's place.

When you go here, don't plan on being floored by a fancy tasting room or anything too fancy, but who needs fancy when there's yummy beer around?  They sell beer starting by the growler and going up to full-sized kegs.  Personally, I think you should just get a growler of each and try them all.  Or if you're nice they might let you taste the beers while you're there and then you can just take lots of growlers of your favorite home.

The growlers are $5 to be filled.  If you're like I was though and don't have growlers of your own you can get one the first time for $10 (filled with beer) and just keep trading it out so you only pay for the refill on the growler.  It's a great way to buy your beer...plus you're saving the environment - no cans or glass bottles need to be recycled.

You can buy merchandise here too - show that you're a proud drinker.  Or just give it to all your friends for their birthdays, Christmas, Hanukkah, Easter, or whatever else may come up....I personally would love a nice Manny's t-shirt for something like Earth Day.

Either way, the beer is yummy, the staff is beyond friendly, and it's a great place to stop by. Go and feed your liver...

**P.S. Did you know there really is a Manny and a Roger?  Really, the beers are named after them and sometimes you can find them here.  I'm sure Manny appreciated when I was drunk (on his beer) and met him at a bar and was enthralled with the fact he was Manny of Manny's.**

Went here for the first time this past saturday and left impressed. Didn't partake in any of the food (I'll do that next time), but I did walk out of there with a medium Manny's Pale Ale t-shirt and a growler of the same for $21 even. I will definitely be going back; this place is way too convenient to my work, it's dangerous :-)

We had a pony keg for Kyle S.'s birthday, and from order to pick up to return the customer service was great, let alone the product itself! If you ever have occasion to try the Brown DO IT - it's time on earth is rare and fleeting, and should be grasped and enjoyed whenever possible.

This is just the best place! Their 9 lb Porter is one of the best porters I've ever had. Manny's is the archetype of an IPA. $1.50 per pint, that's what it comes out to, damn. The folks there are super friendly and helpful. It REALLY doesn't get any better (and I can get there in 7 minutes)!

How can you not be intrigued by a brewery whose directions on their web site read: "Drive down the alley and look for our sign above the loading dock."? Even though you've probably never heard of Roger's Pilsner or Chopper's Red Ale, you've encountered Manny's Pale Ale if you've been to any bar in Seattle in the past two years. Georgetown Brewery is where they brew the stuff. There is no bar, "tasting room", or tours, but there are t-shirts, glasses and growlers to purchase, and, if you're nice, they might just offer you a taste of their beer. In fact, it was Roger (of Roger's Pilsner's fame) that served me mine. Their beer is fresh and exciting and it's worth a stop if you've got time to kill and/or you're in the area.

The best part is a growler goes for $6 and you actually get six pints out of one of them. 6 Pints for six bucks - you really can't beat that. Plus the fact you have to go in through the back alley in order to get there makes it even better.

Really tasty beer. These guys run a cool brewery down in Georgetown in an old brick building with a bunch of artisans as neighbors. I went in with my fiance and our dog to return a keg we had gotten for our engagement party and the guys working there were friendly, talkative, and cool with our dog coming in.  We hung out a while and they gave us a few tastes. The classic and still my favorite is Manny's Pale Ale, and they also had Roger's Pilsner. Additionally there are two new ones that we tried that I really liked called Chopper's Red Ale and 9 LB Porter (made for their neighboring bar called the 9 LB Hammer, which I still need to check out).  Before leaving we bought two growlers, which are a great deal. I will definitely be back soon to refill the growlers!
