Geoffrey's Diamonds saved my fiance from insanity. It all started when I went to Joe Escobar Diamonds in Campbell with a friend because she wanted to look at engagement rings. She then told me to also look at engagement rings for fun with her, not knowing that my then-boyfriend had told her to do so. I ended up choosing a simple, beautiful Ritani setting and thought that the ring was perfect. The fiance went the very next day to purchase the ring but later told me that what he went through at Joe Escobar was a total nightmare.
He then yelped and found Geoffrey's Diamonds, which had some really good reviews (I'm noticing all the 5 stars below!) Geoffrey and his associates helped me tremendously and gave him no headache at all. He needed to get the diamond set into the ring and Geoffrey's Diamonds did it in a couple days. They were organized, responsive, and thorough in their work, making sure that the customer knew exactly what was going on, how long it would take, and how much money it would cost. The fiance left super happy.
I had to personally go into Geoffrey's once to get my diamond re-set because I accidentally banged it too hard while working out at the gym (Whoops for doing that and double whoops for wearing my engagement ring while working out in the first place!) Geoffrey's is nestled in a small shopping complex, upstairs. The person who helped me there was super sweet and nice, and asked me how the fiance was doing, etc. I was surprised that he remembered his name!
Anyway, I dropped off my ring and it was ready for pick-up the next day. They charged very little for the damage that I did (Thank you!) and even cleaned it for me for free! As some reviewers said below, they clean your ring for free, and you know how girls like super sparkly things on their fingers!
I highly recommend checking out this place if you're shopping around for a good place to purchase your engagement ring or wedding band. The service is superb and the staff are knowledgeable. Thank you, Geoffrey's Diamonds!

My fiancé and I have a fabulous experience at Geoffrey's. We arrived in search of a diamond for my engagement ring setting about an hour before they closed. We had the pleasure of working with JoAnn, who sat us down and went over everything we needed to know about diamonds. It was very low pressure and nice to have someone who really enjoyed picking out diamonds with her clients, rather than shoving something on you to try to get a sale out of you. The entire staff was very friendly and did not make us feel bad for staying past closing. The best part is that their jeweler, Wendi, stayed afterward to set and size my ring so we could go home with it that day!

I needed an adjustment on an existing ring. Searched yelp for jewelers and emailed many. Only Geoffrey's responded.
Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. No pressure.
I ended up buying my wedding band from them.

I had my wedding ring re-designed by geoffrey's many years ago. After paying around 800.00 or so for the new setting, a few days later I noticed a crack on the end of my center marquis diamond. When I went back to the store he agreed that it was not there when he worked on it but did not assume any responsibility for possibly causing this to happen. He did offer two options for me. One he could "drop a cubic in it for 25.00" . which after spending 800.00 he now wants me to fork over 25.00 more for a fake wedding ring, I was disgusted. Or he offered to back date the appraisal they were working on so I could I guess commit insurance fraud. And that is what they did back dated the appraisal gave it to me and I have never stepped back in there again.
Of course I never did anything with the insurance I was not about to commit insurance fraud.
Since then my husband has died and now when my daughter is old enough I will be handing her the ring her father gave me, with a big crack in it. Thanks Geoffrey.
I do not like giving any one a bad review but wrong is wrong and what they did was WRONG.

Don't be fooled.
Be sure to read all the reviews. While there are many with high ratings, pay attention to the other ones too. In the beginning was impressed, picked out the perfect diamond but when I went to pick it up it was chipped. (Funny how that was the one time he didn't ask me to use the loop to inspect it). Luckily I did anyway. He tried to deny it. Then accused me of doing it. Then admitted it. Horrible experience. I have since heard from others (and other local jewelers who get his disappointed customers) that this has happened many times. PROCEED WITH CAUTION
This place is spectacular. I bought my both mine and my fiance's wedding bands here and the quality and selection are top notch. I also felt no pressure to spend more than my budget and was pleasantly surprised at the quality I got for the price. No BS, great service, and great quality. You won't regret checking them out.
My fiance and I were pretty much eloping to get married and needed a ring made up last minute! I went to a couple of different places and was quoted pretty steep prices and a long time range to complete the ring. I had the diamonds from two other rings and wanted them made up into a 3 diamond engagement ring. I read positive reviews for Geoffreys here on Yelp and went to their website. I liked what I saw and went in. Geoffrey met with us and was so completely wonderful! My father was a jeweler for over 50 years. He was very good at what he did. (Unfortunately he passed away several years ago) In some ways Geoffrey reminded me of my dad - he was very knowledgable and really took time to talk with us about what we wanted. The rest of the staff there was really great also. The bottom line is, he fashioned the most beautiful ring for me, in the time I needed and at a very affordable price. I can't recommend him highly enough. He is a wonderful person, and very gifted at his craft. I will definately be going back!
I came to Geoffrey's based on Yelp reviews I had read, and was not disappointed. I needed to have an old family diamond appraised and set in my engagement ring, in addition to having the very precious stones on the side repaired. I happened to have time on Valentine's Day and was expecting a zoo, but despite the bustle, Steve gave me GREAT SERVICE! He immediately cleaned both rings in question, and was incredibly knowledgeable about the old diamond I brought in--it dated back to 1850 and he could tell based on the cut! A vault of knowledge, Steve is. What I appreciated most was that he took the TIME to give me service without pushing other pieces on me, and even though my issue was relatively minor, he treated me as if I had bought the ring there (next time I will!)
HONESTY is what I appreciated most. I had spoken to another local jeweler who was trying to charge $7500 to fix the stones (an outrageous rip-off) , but Steve was honest about the cost involved and the time it would take--he delivered EXACTLY what he promised, and was responsive to emails and phone calls. Although I haven't had the chance to compare prices of new jewelry to other jewelers, the next time I am in the market for a a new piece of jewelery, I will definitely come back because I have found a jeweler I can trust.
My boyfriend and I have been in every jewelry store between San Francisco and San Mateo and finally went to Geoffrey's. We had the best experience ever! JoAnn was very sweet, helpful, knowledgeable and not in the least bit pushy. We ended up with the most beautiful diamond I have ever seen and we purchased both an engagement ring and wedding ring within our budget! When my boyfriend went back to pick the rings up after being sized, he had the most pleasurable experience with several of the staff and JoAnn even introduced him to Geoffrey himself who took the time to talk to him in detail about his purchase. He was greatly impressed with the fact that Geoffrey took time out to talk to him especially after he had already purchased the rings. Best service in the Bay Area by far! Believe me....we've been to a ton of jewelry stores!!

In my life, I have dealt with thousands of businesses, big and small. I can honestly tell you this: I have never in my LIFE had such a wonderful experience purchasing something. If I could give them 500,000 stars, I would--honestly. This business does not even compare to anywhere else I've been, jewelry store or otherwise. They are FANTASTIC.
I found Geoffrey's through Yelp. I needed a local jeweler to look at my engagement ring, which my fiancee and I purchased from a jeweler in Oregon. The ring had been majorly screwed up by the other jeweler, and I needed a second opinion about how to deal with the situation. I drove all the way to San Carlos from Oakland, just because of the great reviews they had, and it was totally worth it. Geoffrey and Andy spent 45 minutes inspecting my ring and educating me about what the other jeweler had done and how the ring should be properly repaired. They didn't stand to make a cent off of me at that point, but they were kind enough to spend nearly an hour with me, just to help. I really felt (feel) like they cared about me and the horrible experience I had, and I really felt like they wanted to make it better in any way they could.
We ended up getting a refund on that ring, and when it came time to buy another one, we went straight back to Geoffrey's. I was seriously scarred by the previous experience with the other jeweler (they messed up the ring FIVE TIMES), so I was feeling a little apprehensive. Geoffrey and Andy were so understanding, and did their absolute best to make this experience a great one. Over the course of four or five appointments, they helped me design a custom ring for a VERY reasonable price. In the grand scheme of things, we didn't spend that much money at Geoffrey's (I had an heirloom diamond and just needed a setting), but they spent hours with us. They made me feel special every time I walked into that store--everyone knew my name and everyone was smiling. They were excited about my ring, which in turn got me really excited.
The custom ring process was really fun and interesting: I brought in some designs I liked, which I had printed off the internet. Andy, Geoffrey and I discussed what I liked about each one and came up with a general idea of what I was looking for. Geoffrey then drew out a picture of what I wanted. When I approved it, he made a wax mold of the ring...and when I approved that, they made my ring.
When we went to pick up the ring, Geoffrey was so amazing and understanding. I wanted to change a small thing about the ring, and they did it right there in the store in less than an hour. In addition to the ring, they gave us a polishing cloth, cleaning solution, and a little complimentary pocket knife for my fiancee. I'm a sucker for details, and I really liked the box they gave me for my ring, too. :) Their quality is impeccable, and so is their service. I also genuinely TRUST them--and for a person that isn't particularly trusting (especially with her grandmother's 72-year old heirloom diamond!), that's saying a lot. I would never go anywhere else, and I mean that. I drive 40 minutes to get to the store every time I go in there, and it is ALWAYS worth it.
I am absolutely thrilled with my engagement ring. The experience with the first jeweler was really bad. REALLY bad. But it led me to Geoffrey's. And you know what? The four months of hell with the other jeweler was worth it, because Geoffrey, Andy and all the other wonderful women at the store made up for it in a BIG way.
Thank you SO much, Geoffrey. You've made me SO HAPPY and so emotional that I get teary every time I think of you and this experience. I would recommend Geoffrey's Diamonds and Goldsmith to anyone and everyone. I've never had a better experience anywhere.

Sonny at Geoffrey's totally hooked me and my husband up. Thanks Sonny! We were shopping for wedding rings on a very limited budget ($1000 for both of us, and I wanted platinum). She found rings that suited both of our tastes and kept us within our budget. My ring is gorgeous and his is modern and masculine. We adore them! They also resized my platinum engagement ring for a reasonable price. The whole crew there is funny, down-to-earth, and helpful, no matter how much you plan on spending. I felt like an old friend when I returned to pick up the rings we had ordered. Sonny gave me a hug and insisted I stop by after the wedding to have my ring cleaned and to fill them in on how the big day went. Loved, loved, loved this place. It is worth the trip from where ever you are in the Bay Area. Support small business, they treat you better!
As soon as you step in the door, one of the people who works at Geoffrey's immediately slips off your ring and polishes it! It doesn't even matter if you bought your ring there or not. I love it!
Their customer service (particularly Stephen who usually helps us) is just generally outstanding. I went in needing a jewelry appraisal for a ring I didn't buy there. They ended up providing it to me for free (possibly by accident but they couldn't be nicer). I told them my insurance might require a jeweler to check my ring once a year to make sure the prongs and everything was in order. They said they'd be happy to do it for free.
I also asked them about rhodium plating my ring, since my white gold ring is looking less platinum and more gold. I was told that the rhodium will wear off within a year and although they could do the plating if I wanted it, they recommended letting the ring age. What nice honest advice! They were the first place we went to when it was time to buy wedding bands. It's the kind of place I want to bring my business to.

I brought my engagement ring to Geoffrey's for repair. It is a 1930's vintage ring with a very thin band in 14K gold. I wanted a thicker, more sturdy band. I was a bit hesitant to have the work done without knowing if it would destroy the original design of the ring. Sonny was very knowledgeable, and gave good advice. She recommended sticking with 14K gold for the new band. She also pointed out that the prongs had worn down over time, and allowed us to see for ourselves with the aid of a loupe. After contemplating whether or not to take it back to the jeweler where the ring was originally purchased, we decided to go with Geoffrey's. The bottom line was, I trusted them to do the work. I would consider purchasing my wedding band from Geoffrey's.

My husband purchased my engagement ring as well as our wedding bands from Geoffrey's. Everyone here is super friendly and accomodated all of our needs. They've got a wonderful selection of one-of-a-kind pieces and as Joslyn D. said, lots of sparkly treats! Extra points for their free jewelry cleaning and $0.05 marital counseling! I love this place!

Wonderful place to buy diamonds and other sparkly treats. We bought my engagement ring and my wedding band from Geoffrey's and had a great experience each time. Sunny searched high and low for an engagement ring setting that incorporated all the details I loved. Everyone remembers your name when you walk in and they clean your jewelry for free! I won't be buying fine jewelry anywhere else!

Best place ever to buy or have any jewelry repaired or cleaned. Everyone here is excellent to work with and very honest! If you need to buy something for a loved one or get something cleaned that you treasure, I highly recommend Geoffrey's.

My family has been going here for years. I had a ring made for me for my high school graduation and the lady still remembers me and my ring even though its been years! They are not only the sweetest people with amazing memories, but they will order anything for you, work to make your jewlery unique, and they have completely reasonable prices! I love this place!
Should be NO star.
Do not go here. They chipped my diamond when they tried to set it & the owner, Geoffrey tried to deny it. I've heard from others that this has happened to them as well. Go elsewhere.

Geoffrey's is outstanding!! They are as much the perfectionist as I am... I didn't know that was possible! The staff is great, but ask to talk with Geoffrey direct. He has a wicked sense of humor and is great to work with. I embarked with him on a 3-month journey for just the right stone and ring and it came out PERFECT!! I brought in everything from fashion pictures to CAD wireframes and they worked with it all. Best of all, they called with regular updates and replied to email fairly promptly, once I got Geoffrey's super-secret personal email address. Ask to see the Regent and Jubilee stones. They are the only dealer in the area for these diamonds. Hands down better than anything you'll find at Tiffany or Cartier, and I have the brillancescope data to prove it!
It can be a little hard to find, and their hours are wanky. They're not open Sunday or monday and Geoffrey himself has an irregular schedule. Minor inconveniences for the experience, however.
