My fiance, [then boyfriend] and I had been looking for engagement rings for a few months. We had been to numerous jewelers and had found nothing. We looked up Geoffrey's on Yelp and decided to take a visit. Nikko assisted us in our ring search. They had a pretty good selection of engagement rings. The best thing was, all of the engagement rings they had were beautiful! I would have been happy with any of the rings on display. Anyways, Nikko helped us find the perfect ring of my dreams with a pretty good price. We ended up purchasing it that day!
A few days after my fiance proposed to me, we noticed 2 of the really small diamonds were missing. We sent an email to Geoffrey, and he told us to come in and they would inspect and replace the diamonds! We were so happy.
Yesterday, we checked our mail and we received the appraisal form in the mail from Nikko! We didn't even ask for it, but are very happy he sent it. Now we can get the ring insured.
We were very happy with the selection, service, and price provided by Geoffrey's Jewelers. Niko was a great help! We will be back again. -

My gold chain got twisted and I couldn't get the kink out no matter how long I tried. I took it to two different jewelers to have them try to fix it. But no luck. I found Goeffrey's online on a Sunday afternoon. They are actually open Sundays noon to 4pm. I went in and the lady behind the counter got it untwisted in a matter of seconds. I couldn't believe!!! I think she must be a magician. I've worn this chain for probably 30 years and it means a lot to me. She didn't charge me a dime.

Everybody raves about how great Geoffrey's service is but that's not the main reason why I think this is THE PLACE for you to find your dream diamond ring. It's the fact that they're about the only place in the Bay Area that can help you find truly high quality diamonds at a reasonable price.
So first, on their service: Not only that Geoffrey himself was extremely helpful in discussing with us on my quest for a perfect diamond, Nikko, who took care of my request when Geoffrey left for his vacation, has been extremely prompt, patient, and responsive (both phone calls and emails) in following through from locating the diamonds, getting the custom design, and finally, today, picking up the rings. While I consider myself to be "high maintenance" and wanted everything to be perfect, Nikko was always happy to oblige with my many awkward requests, making sure that we're completely happy and comfortable with the purchase. Needless to say, the resulting diamond ring is amazingly gorgeous and brings a smile to my fiancee's face every time she looks at it. Nikko is simply the best, bar none!
Now the more important part, the diamonds. I have researched everything about diamonds for months in my quest for a perfect diamond engagement ring for my fiancee. And I decided on a Super Ideal AGS diamond as the center stone of a 3-stone ring, the equivalent of a "Hearts on Fire" diamond without the price premium for the brand. Being value conscious, I searched through the internet venues for months, and most do not have the high quality AGS diamonds that I'm looking for except for a couple of them, but their price for the good ones was exorbitant.
So I turned to yelp and we visited a number of the top recommendations throughout the Bay Area from yelp. First of all, none of the other shops that we went to have access to AGS diamonds, which has a more stringent grading standard than GIA. Worse yet, some of them don't even know of AGS or knew much less about diamonds than I do!
So it's a relief when we finally went to Geoffrey's and talked to Geoffrey himself, who's very knowledgeable about AGS diamonds and agreed to help me locate one (none of other shops could help). It took Nikko less than a week to find one that I like, and believe me, after searching for months, reviewing tens of ideal AGS diamonds with their light performance scopes and certificates, it's one of the best that I've seen, and at a far better price than what I could find from the Internet sites. Then we get the price for the side diamonds and the rest of the custom design for the rings, and again, their quotes were the lowest (yes, I did check with other yelp recommended shops to compare).
So all in all, what more can you ask for from a place that you can trust, with stellar customer service, knowledgeable staff, and great prices? Look no further! -

This was my shadiest shopping for an engagement ring experience. Via email, we'd listed our criteria for the diamond we were looking for, and had specified no fluorescence. When we visited the store, we asked Nikko if any of them had fluorescence and he said no. He showed us some nice-looking diamonds, and I was happy because they appeared to be what I had been looking for. By the end of the appointment, I was ready to pick one of the diamonds, and asked to see the certificates of the two I had narrowed down to. One of them had fluorescence. There were other things during the appointment that had bothered my fiance, but that was the dealbreaker for me - I can understand if you forget what was requested in the email, but at least know your product well enough to answer a question honestly, or at least realize if you have to check the certificates first to answer the question. We purchased elsewhere, as we couldn't buy from a jeweler whose word we couldn't trust.

I wrote a poor review that I bought a bracelet with a big discount but later found out the price is actually the real one. The same day I got a personal message from Geoffey, who said he is willing to check if there's a problem and suggested I should go to the store with the bracelet. So, there he explained in details about the quality of the diamonds and even let me check myself and compare my diamonds that didn't have any inclusions and a diamond with obvious ones. So the value of the bracelet was greater than similar designs and diamond weight on the internet. He polished my other jewelry and gave me a store credit, which I would use with pleasure in his store. I would recommend going to Geoffrey's if you need a high quality jewelry and service.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! The peeps are just the right balance of friendly and professional. Geoffrey made a custom wedding band for my beloved that he loves (and wears daily - (and he's not really a jewelry wearer). I have a few sparkly treasures from this place that I adore. And they clean the jewelry you are wearing for free!! AND they are having a major blowout sale right now. Run there, don't walk!!

Rest assured - at Geoffrey's you will be taken care of. This is not your typical stuffy jewelry store where you need to mind your p's and q's. Upon walking in you will feel immediately at ease. You will mostly likely be greeted by Robin, a miniature pincher (i believe) who is quite friendly and happy, despite missing one leg! Geoffrey's is also SF Giants and Niner territory! The walls are lined with memorabilia from the teams which i find highly agreeable.
Geoffrey and his staff go above and beyond in terms of customer service. We came here to get my engagement ring fitted. Geoffrey not only expertly fitted me but also spent the time to educate me on how to take it on and off (hey, its not that easy!) as well as how to take proper care of it. I really appreciated that and though i do not visit jewelry shops often I bet this type of service is an anomaly.
I believe what is unique about Geoffrey is that no matter who you are he treats you as a valued customer. He is very knowledgeable about jewelry and loves what he does (it shows)! He's been doing this for 28 years!
Also, i think his customers love this place because some come back on a weekly basis to clean their ring (for free). -

The experience with Geoffrey and his staff was absolutely amazing ... such a pleasure. It truly feels like you've invited an old family friend's living room who just happens to display cases after cases of beautiful, sparkly, and tasteful jewelry.
Traveling in the next few days, I needed my wedding ring sized down before losing it to TSA. I emailed Geoffrey with the inquiry Wednesday, he responded w/in 3hrs, said to bring it in. I showed up at 5:45pm on Thursday, sat with Geoffrey himself and explained to him I'd love to have my ring finished by the next day as I'll be out of town after. He said he'd try his best and to call the next day to get the status.
Today, Friday, I called at 3pm and was told the ring is ready for pick-up!
Withing 24hrs .. wow. And my ring looked brand spanking new. I couldn't stop staring at it, had to break hard a few times driving down the road.
Thank you so much, now I can travel in peace and look forward to being back to Geoffrey's. -

My ideal experience with finding my ideal engagement ring and wedding band there. I am very happy with their large selection of the modern styles I like, extremely good prices and exceptional service. I am so glad I found them. I had the worst experience at "supposedly" a very reputable jeweler in San Diego. So I'm very grateful for this much better experience.
Unlike the other jeweler, Geoffrey's staff educated me on diamonds, showed me how to compare them, and tested me on my education. They wanted to make sure I get what I truly wanted and were very patient with me, never trying to just make a quick sale or take advantage of my lack of knowledge. They are going out of business, so get there soon for the great closing out deals! -

The people that work here are absolutely the nicest people in the world. I've never been to a fine jewelry shop where I felt so comfortable and welcomed. And you can tell that others felt the same because the place was full of people!
I came here on the recommendation of a friend, whose fiance had her engagement ring made here. That ring is one of the most beautiful rings I've ever seen. My friend's fiance gave them a design and they produced it with fine detail and class.
My ring needed a stone adjustment and they did it on the spot. They also cleaned mine and my hubbies rings for free. And told us to feel free to stop by whenever for a free cleaning.

I love that this is a neighborhood gem and that the people seem to love working there!
The husband ordered my gorgeous Mark Schneider ring here. He tells me they were extremely helpful and kind is getting everything situated.
They also offer complimentary ring cleaning service! The only drawbacks is that it's a bit inconvenient for me to go and get my ring cleaned... but that's not their fault. I just live farther away than most of their clientele. Also, it's awkward for me when they ask me where I got my ring because they don't recognize the setting. -

Yet another five star review for the best jewelry store in the Bay. Before I met these people I had no clue about diamonds whatsoever. Geoffrey and Sonny were delighted to give me a thorough overview in diamonds and jewelry as a whole. They were engaging and extremely patient with me and my many questions. Also, Sonny was incredible in helping me pick out the perfect engagement ring; with her guidance I picked out a ring that my fiancee absolutely adores. We went back to Geoffrey's and Sonny to pick out my wedding band and again she was phenomenal to deal with. She helped us select a band that I couldn't be happier with - we were even able to engrave the band inscription using my fiancee's handwriting as the font. We have recently used them once again to help us create my fiancee's custom made wedding band. After showing us some different styles we were able to pick and choose the features and diamond size(s) we wanted in the band. Yet again we couldn't be more thrilled with the end product.
Every time we walk in the door they offer to clean my fiancee's engagement ring as well as the other diamond jewelry she has but did not purchase there. Their prices are more than reasonable when you consider the quality of product and service they provide. Wonderful and charming store with a great staff and amazing selection.
I'll finish this review by saying outside of my incredible fiancee (and soon to be wife), Geoffrey's and Sonny have been the best experience I have with being engaged. -

Our Jeweler for over 15 years. We trust Geoffrey! Prices, designs, quality jewelry, all wonderful. We've priced diamond earrings, his prices were the best. Geoffrey made a custom wedding band to match my engangement ring. Sonny is creative with pairing up ideas. Geoffrey is entertaining, and everyone is very nice. (We do miss Andi.) The staff has been with him for a long time. They are not pushy and really let you the customer make the decision.

Geoffrey's doesn't need another 5-star review. But they're getting one anyway. Why? Because we were challenging, and they totally nailed it - they deserve the kudos. - I may post a pic soon -
First, we designed my engagement/wedding ring. We came in with a head full of irritatingly original ideas about colored stones and Celtic knots and oy vey... we might have been some jeweler's idea of a giant headache. But no. No rolling of eyes, no shaking of heads. They were happy to help us make it all happen - and not for some idiotic price either. Thank god.
Stage 1: Gentle, kind talk about budget. Good. Moving quickly into...
Stage 2: Fast education about colored stones - including reference book. (we are information geeks so this part was fun...).
Now the truly impressive stuff:
Stage 3: We are emailed (yes, emailed) photos of 6 gorgeous pink-hued stones - mostly pink sapphires - that meet our basic requirements. Unusual ones, naturally. We want an oval. You want? We got.
Stage 4: Honey says "Gee, can you get them to send you ALL of the stones so we can pick them out" No problem. We go, we pick - we LOVE the chubby little pinky-purple one - it's on fire. I've been researching like crazy on pink sapphires and the prices were very good - between fair and super value. Not cheap, but modest and all six stones they sourced appeared to be EXCELLENT quality. (Note buyers: They did not include enormous things we couldn't afford to tempt us... nope, stuck right within the budget - and still the choices were outstanding).
Stage 5 (same day): Sketch. This part ended up being a bit bumbly - but frankly if we'd had photos in hand (a bit of this, some of that...) we could have given them better information. Two weeks later they had...
Stage 6: CAD designs emailed (LOVE the emailing part - this is the best part - looking at our ring in CAD). Next, they fire up a wax mold. Ok, so between stage 5 and 6 we dropped out of communication a bit - so I pinged them "Hey, hubby's getting irked, what's up?" Reply - "How fast can I drive to hubby's workplace to show him the wax mold, and how else can I be of service? I'm so sorry we were out of touch. You guys are important to us."
Stage 7 (feeling sheepish and back in love with Geoffrey's): We love wax mold. We approve design.
Stage 8 (today, in fact): OMG. OMG. The CAD, the wax, the sketches... nothing could have prepared me for the delicate, fiery, elegant wonder that now flashes pink and white light from my ring finger.
Geoffrey's doesn't need another 5-star review. But I won't sleep tonight unless I post one. Deal...
Oh, and he's exceptionally funny and personable. Why anyone would do serious jewelry shopping elsewhere... I can't imagine. My advice: Throw Geoffrey's your most challenging jewelry dilemma. Stones, design, timing, budget. Watch him eat it for breakfast. ;)

I finally found time to go to Geoffrey's here in San Carlos and this place rocks.
It was a Saturday and it was super busy in this small store but every employee found time to say hi to me even though they were with another customer. It didn't feel like those stuffy jewelry stores that I've been to in the past. It's hard to explain but I felt relaxed here.
Within 2 minutes of walking into the store, they had asked if I would like my rings cleaned. I was a bit shy to show them my rings because they haven't been professionally cleaned in over three years. But I turned them in and browsed the store while I waited for the cleaning.
I got a crash course in diamond earrings. Even though I was only looking at them through the display I was welcomed to try them on...several pairs. Wow! Okay, I fell in love with what I learned is the "Martini setting" and will return. Maybe not tomorrow but some day.
I was there for about 15-20 minutes. I am not complaining about the time at all. As a matter of fact, I am happy that they took extra time to clean the 3 years of dirt off my rings. When they were returned to me they were simply beautiful. They looked brand new and even my husband was amazed with the sparkle that we had forgotten about after all these years.
Unfortunately this is my only experience with Geoffrey's so far. I've made an appointment with them to fix my rings next week. (After the cleaning, they did an inspection and noticed something that should be fixed.)
For the Yelpers that have read "Candice's" review:
I did not experience poor customer service. I loved their customer service. I wished all stores had customer service like this. I am not "old and white" and neither is my husband and we were still treated very nicely. I did some research on this "Gelin Abaci" company and their Tension setting designs and just with the women's rings alone, this company has 180 styles! I would never expect any store to carry all 180 styles. I would have called the store before stopping by just to confirm that they had it. Let's just say it's like going to your local car dealership and getting upset that they didn't have the car you wanted, in the color that you wanted, with all the features that you wanted right there in the parking lot. The car dealership would have to order it too! Perhaps the disappointment should lie with the Gelin Abaci website that should state that their authorized dealers may not have all styles in stock and suggest a call to them first. Just a thought.
I will return. I liked how I was treated and I like local businesses. -

Nikko is the man!
I sent him a ring I wanted to duplicate, they managed to make a better looking setting, and an awesome 2.25 carat center stone just looks amazing! The facets just blind your eyes. I will definitely continue to shop with Nikko with all my Jewelry needs. I will be contacting him in a few months for my matching wedding band. I shopped around for a while but nothing really caught my attention with the other jewelers. Nikko made me feel at ease, he knew exactly what I wanted...I told myself I wouldn't jump into such a large purchase without doing some research, prices, size, colors etc...I ended up ordering the ring the same day I spoke with him..What does that tell you? I will try to post some pictures later.

I went into Geoffrey's after reading their positive yelp reviews and I must say, it's all very true. Geoffrey and his staff are truly amazing. They are the kindest and friendliest people ever. Very knowledgeable with no sales pressure. Complimentary cleaning no questions asked. I initially brought in my Matthew Trent (three ring, diamond all around) wedding band to Geoffrey's to get it sized bigger and I ended up making two other transactions/purchases because they're work is that precise. It took them awhile to size my ring, but it was all worth it... Wendy is amazing.

In my life, I have dealt with thousands of businesses, big and small. I can honestly tell you this: I have never in my LIFE had such a wonderful experience purchasing something. If I could give them 500,000 stars, I would--honestly. This business does not even compare to anywhere else I've been, jewelry store or otherwise. They are FANTASTIC.
I found Geoffrey's through Yelp. I needed a local jeweler to look at my engagement ring, which my fiancee and I purchased from a jeweler in Oregon. The ring had been majorly screwed up by the other jeweler, and I needed a second opinion about how to deal with the situation. I drove all the way to San Carlos from Oakland, just because of the great reviews they had, and it was totally worth it. Geoffrey and Andy spent 45 minutes inspecting my ring and educating me about what the other jeweler had done and how the ring should be properly repaired. They didn't stand to make a cent off of me at that point, but they were kind enough to spend nearly an hour with me, just to help. I really felt (feel) like they cared about me and the horrible experience I had, and I really felt like they wanted to make it better in any way they could.
We ended up getting a refund on that ring, and when it came time to buy another one, we went straight back to Geoffrey's. I was seriously scarred by the previous experience with the other jeweler (they messed up the ring FIVE TIMES), so I was feeling a little apprehensive. Geoffrey and Andy were so understanding, and did their absolute best to make this experience a great one. Over the course of four or five appointments, they helped me design a custom ring for a VERY reasonable price. In the grand scheme of things, we didn't spend that much money at Geoffrey's (I had an heirloom diamond and just needed a setting), but they spent hours with us. They made me feel special every time I walked into that store--everyone knew my name and everyone was smiling. They were excited about my ring, which in turn got me really excited.
The custom ring process was really fun and interesting: I brought in some designs I liked, which I had printed off the internet. Andy, Geoffrey and I discussed what I liked about each one and came up with a general idea of what I was looking for. Geoffrey then drew out a picture of what I wanted. When I approved it, he made a wax mold of the ring...and when I approved that, they made my ring.
When we went to pick up the ring, Geoffrey was so amazing and understanding. I wanted to change a small thing about the ring, and they did it right there in the store in less than an hour. In addition to the ring, they gave us a polishing cloth, cleaning solution, and a little complimentary pocket knife for my fiancee. I'm a sucker for details, and I really liked the box they gave me for my ring, too. :) Their quality is impeccable, and so is their service. I also genuinely TRUST them--and for a person that isn't particularly trusting (especially with her grandmother's 72-year old heirloom diamond!), that's saying a lot. I would never go anywhere else, and I mean that. I drive 40 minutes to get to the store every time I go in there, and it is ALWAYS worth it.
I am absolutely thrilled with my engagement ring. The experience with the first jeweler was really bad. REALLY bad. But it led me to Geoffrey's. And you know what? The four months of hell with the other jeweler was worth it, because Geoffrey, Andy and all the other wonderful women at the store made up for it in a BIG way.
Thank you SO much, Geoffrey. You've made me SO HAPPY and so emotional that I get teary every time I think of you and this experience. I would recommend Geoffrey's Diamonds and Goldsmith to anyone and everyone. I've never had a better experience anywhere. -

As soon as you step in the door, one of the people who works at Geoffrey's immediately slips off your ring and polishes it! It doesn't even matter if you bought your ring there or not. I love it!
Their customer service (particularly Stephen who usually helps us) is just generally outstanding. I went in needing a jewelry appraisal for a ring I didn't buy there. They ended up providing it to me for free (possibly by accident but they couldn't be nicer). I told them my insurance might require a jeweler to check my ring once a year to make sure the prongs and everything was in order. They said they'd be happy to do it for free.
I also asked them about rhodium plating my ring, since my white gold ring is looking less platinum and more gold. I was told that the rhodium will wear off within a year and although they could do the plating if I wanted it, they recommended letting the ring age. What nice honest advice! They were the first place we went to when it was time to buy wedding bands. It's the kind of place I want to bring my business to. -

Needed to get my wedding ring fixed and checked out some reviews here on yelp and decided to take it into Geoffrey's.
When I arrived...loved all of the sparkly things :-) that distracted me from even remembering why I came haha
But they gladly said they could fix my ring problems (missing small stone and cracked ring). Said it would be about 2 weeks ... that seemed a little long, probably my only complaint.
So my lonely finger got over the sadness and coldness when i went to pick up my ring two weeks later and wow! MY RING LOOKED NEW!!! happy and fixed it was and I was smiling just looking at how pretty.
I was really happy with the prices as well. For all the work they did, it was a really reasonable price.
I'm totally gonna go back for any jewelry repair issues and maybe, just maybe I can get that husband of mine to buy me something new and shiny!!! -

We just had a magical and romantic experience finding THE PERFECT RING!!! I can't stop looking at it and the smile on my face is only a small reflection of the glow and warmth in my heart. Geoffrey, my fiance ( no, not Geoffrey, the owner ) and I have been looking for a while and just could not find anything in our budget. Everything I liked had a HUGE price tag!
And it just did not seem worth it.
Within 10 minutes of walking in the store, being greeted and given into the loving and caring hands of Geoffrey, MY Geoffrey and I knew we were in the right place. Geoffrey, the owner and now our friend, asked very pointed questions that helped him know me better and what I was looking for. We gave him our budget and not only did he stick to it , he came under it...unheard of! And that was without compromising on the quality, size and beauty. We had such a wonderful time and coming to a decision was easy because everything was right. We came back the same day to pick up my ring after being sized and when I saw it, I could not believe how beautiful it is! The big bonus is not only did I leave with a beautiful ring, I left with heartwarming memories and a new jeweler friend. Thank you, Geoffrey for making me and my Geoffrey so very happy!

What a terrific experience at Geoffrey's! After my husband and I split up, I couldn't wear my engagement ring even though I loved the setting. I decided to switch out the side stones (sapphires--Lasorda blue according to my ex--should have known better than to marry a Dodger fan!).
I went into Geoffrey's intending to use rubies or something similar. I met with JoAnn, who immediately suggested green tsavorites instead, because they'd look good with my coloring and would completely change the look of the ring. I loved the tsavorites, but wasn't convinced; JoAnn ordered rubies, garnets, and tsavorites for me to compare.
JoAnn was right! The tsavorites are fantastic! I've also purchased earrings to match and we're working on a pendant. How fun! I can't recommend more highly JoAnn and the team at Geoffrey's. -

If you want a place to make you feel at home, this is the place to be. Geoffrey's place is so full of love and kindness that you feel like family. I really do. From Geoffrey to his wife and then staff, they are all so wonderful without the pressure of having to buy anything. I can try as many things as I want, walk out, and not feel terrible about it.
I have purchased, well, my husband has purchased several unique and beautiful pieces from them and I LOVE IT. I get so many complements on my jewels that I go back for more every year for any special occasions.
They even have unique jewelry for men. My husband who rarely wears any jewelry except for his ring, saw a bracelet that was so manly and different that he had to have it. He wears it almost every day and loves it.
YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. They are the best of the best....REALLY they are.

I came to Geoffrey's based on Yelp reviews I had read, and was not disappointed. I needed to have an old family diamond appraised and set in my engagement ring, in addition to having the very precious stones on the side repaired. I happened to have time on Valentine's Day and was expecting a zoo, but despite the bustle, Steve gave me GREAT SERVICE! He immediately cleaned both rings in question, and was incredibly knowledgeable about the old diamond I brought in--it dated back to 1850 and he could tell based on the cut! A vault of knowledge, Steve is. What I appreciated most was that he took the TIME to give me service without pushing other pieces on me, and even though my issue was relatively minor, he treated me as if I had bought the ring there (next time I will!)
HONESTY is what I appreciated most. I had spoken to another local jeweler who was trying to charge $7500 to fix the stones (an outrageous rip-off) , but Steve was honest about the cost involved and the time it would take--he delivered EXACTLY what he promised, and was responsive to emails and phone calls. Although I haven't had the chance to compare prices of new jewelry to other jewelers, the next time I am in the market for a a new piece of jewelery, I will definitely come back because I have found a jeweler I can trust. -

I found this place on Yelp due to looking for a local place to do some minor repairs to a delicate gold chain I've had for almost 30 years. I send an email inquiring if they can do the repairs I was interested in and I stopped in the next day. The response via email to my inquiry was less than 24 hours, so I was impressed. I stop in this morning around 11.30 and was told it would only cost $10 and a few hours to remove a small knot in the chain, clean it up, and fix the other part of the chain.
When I came back to pick up my necklace, Geoffrey himself brings it out to me and it looked great. I put the necklace on and it feels great. I would def. come back for any future repairs. I was reminded they don't charge anything for cleaning which is nice, however I'm not a big person on rings and other items that would need cleaning, but always good to know.
The atmosphere is fun and you can tell the employees have a sense of humor. -

Geoffrey is da bomb. I'll gladly drive all the way to San Carlos from Santa Rosa for my jewelry needs. My husband and I have been going to Geoffrey for years - we feel like family - that's how comfortable they make you feel. He made us 2 exquisite custom pieces for our 10th anni (just celebrated #20 last year) and we're still enthralled.
Geoffrey even contributed generously when a friend and I were doing the American Heart Association Heart walk - he talks the talk & walks the walk when it comes to community support.
Service is superb whomever helps you whether it's Geoffrey, Sonny, Steven, or anyone else. And we can't forget the late, great Andy either. Prices are fair, they tell you like it is and there's no hard sell.
They really know what they're doing & they do it well. -

I needed an adjustment on an existing ring. Searched yelp for jewelers and emailed many. Only Geoffrey's responded.
Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. No pressure.
I ended up buying my wedding band from them. -

I signed up on Yelp so that I could write this 5 star review of Geoffrey's. If there were more stars I would give them to them. It's always fun to visit and I've always felt very welcome at the store. I just had the kindest most amazing time. I have been looking for a bracelet to replace one I lost and Sonny was incredibly patient, friendly, helpful as well as very candid about what looked best. When I left the store today beaming and wearing the beautiful diamond bracelet from Geoffry's I felt whole with a very new jewelry look for me -- no sense of loss-- a beautiful bracelet sparkling on my wrist. Thank you Geoffrey and Sonny.

Working with the fine folks at Geoffrey's was a great experience. I can honestly say that it went as smoothly as any big purchase ever has for me. I bought the diamond (but not the band) for my fiancée's engagement ring, and worked specifically with Nikko. I can't say enough great things about him. From the moment I started working with him, he was helpful, kind and patient with me. I knew the basics of diamond shopping, but Nikko took the time to make sure that I fully understood just what to look for in a quality diamond. He made me feel at ease and comfortable throughout the entire process. If you have the chance to work with him, do it. You won't be disappointed.
Another important part of my experience here was that I never felt as though I was being pressured to make a purchase. The staff at Geoffrey's treated me with respect, and genuinely seemed to care that I find the best diamond that I could, within my price range. Ultimately, I did, and can't emphasize how happy I am with my decision. From start to finish, my experience was perfect.
In addition, my fiancée got the ring re-sized at Geoffrey's. That, too, was a pleasant experience. Despite the fact that they were very busy and had a large number of customers when we walked in (it was a weekend), they had the ring re-sized and cleaned in about an hour. I can't say enough great things about the group of people that work here. They were all wonderful to work with, and I highly recommend them for all of your jewelry needs. -

Geoffrey's is outstanding!! They are as much the perfectionist as I am... I didn't know that was possible! The staff is great, but ask to talk with Geoffrey direct. He has a wicked sense of humor and is great to work with. I embarked with him on a 3-month journey for just the right stone and ring and it came out PERFECT!! I brought in everything from fashion pictures to CAD wireframes and they worked with it all. Best of all, they called with regular updates and replied to email fairly promptly, once I got Geoffrey's super-secret personal email address. Ask to see the Regent and Jubilee stones. They are the only dealer in the area for these diamonds. Hands down better than anything you'll find at Tiffany or Cartier, and I have the brillancescope data to prove it!
It can be a little hard to find, and their hours are wanky. They're not open Sunday or monday and Geoffrey himself has an irregular schedule. Minor inconveniences for the experience, however. -

My husband worked with Geoffrey to make a beautiful ring for me. We just had our first baby, a girl, and the ring is a baby gift/ early birthday present. My wedding and engagement rings are the Legacy collection from Tiffany, so he and Geoffrey created a matching band to my wedding ring, in rose gold. Geoffrey's work is exquisite, the ring is delicate and gorgeous. It matches my wedding ring perfectly. The design and creation process was a pleasure with Geoffrey. We've definitely found a jeweler that we trust and will return to again and again. Thank you Geoffrey, for my beautiful ring!

Didn't actually buy anything there yet but I went to see if they could resize my ring and they were sooo ultra friendly. I asked them to check my size twice since I was being paranoid and they gladly obliged.
They advised me to send my ring back to the vendor I purchased it from to get it resized since it was a more than a size different but said if the people I bought the ring from gave me a hard time about it I could bring it back to Geoffrey's and they would take care of it.
I would definitely go back for any jewelry needs I have in the future. -

Let me say first that this is going to be a long review because you really receive such wonderful, thorough customer service here and it is hard to truly review Geoffrey's in just a few sentences.
My fiancée found Geoffrey's on Yelp a few months ago; the 56 excellent reviews enticed us to stop by and have a look. We tried all the commercial jewelry stores first to get an idea of what we were looking for (Shane Co., The Jewelry Exchange, your typical mall jewelers- I don't recommend even bothering with any of them, btw). Anyway, I had found an engagement ring that I LOVED at an online jeweler, but we were skeptical about purchasing jewelry (a diamond especially) online. This is a huge purchase and you really need the one-on-one care and experience to feel comfortable about it.
We weren't at Geoffrey's for more than 5 minutes before we knew this was the place where we'd be purchasing my engagement ring. We were greeted warmly when we walked in and immediately took a seat with one of the associates. She showed us their selection and asked us questions about budget and what we were looking for. I didn't see anything in their selection like the ring I had found online (I searched long and hard for such a unique ring so I wasn't expecting to). The associate asked if I could pull the ring up on their computer, so I did, at which point she told me they could recreate it exactly or change it if there was anything I didn't like about it. I was blown away; I didn't know that was possible.
At this point we sat down with Geoffrey. He took us step-by-step through cut, color, clarity, etc. We had done our research and knew the range our budget would allow, but he showed us some diamonds and compared colors and clarities so we could get a true understanding of what we would be paying for. We then made a few slight changes to the ring design I had and Geoffrey took the template to be turned into a mold. He had also called to have a few different diamonds come in for us to look at. Later that week we received a phone call from Geoffrey; he said he didn't need any other diamonds to come in because he had found "the one". He was right. At our next appointment we viewed the mold of the ring; which looked awesome, and the diamond. Not only was the diamond larger than we had expected but the color and clarity were amazing! We had looked at several diamonds and had not found one as perfect in our price range. There was no attempt to "trick" us into liking a diamond of lesser quality; it was (is!) gorgeous. There was no need to see any other diamonds, my fiancée put down a deposit and made an appointment to come back the following week to pick up the finished product.
I'd post a picture of it if I wasn't worried someone would copy it. ;) The ring is phenomenal; the diamond looks huge and flawless. All the 5-star reviews on Yelp are well deserved and we thank Geoffrey and his team for all of their help, their attentiveness, and their kindness. -

They did great work and were a pleasure to deal with. We went there looking for a wedding ring for my fiancee. Sonny was very helpful showing us what they had and worked with us as she learned what we were looking for. They ordered one ring from the catalog for us to look at. We ended up getting a custom ring similar to one we saw in their shop, adding in a couple of diamonds from my fiancee's mother and grandmother.
They did a wax mold that we approved, but when we saw the ring we were both very disappointed. However, Sonny and Geoffrey made it right! Together we came up with some changes that resulted in a gorgeous ring that looks fabulous and my fiancee loved. They really seemed committed to making sure that we were happy with the result. And, ended up making the changes without charging us for the extra work.
I'm happy to support local businesses, particularly those that take pride in their work and make it easy to do business with them. I'm sure that I'll be back for anniversary gifts in the future. -

My entire family goes to Geoffreys and we wouldn't go anywhere else. Steven is "da' bomb" and my favorite person. I wouldn't feel comfortable with anyone else but him, he takes fantastic care of you and knows immediately what would look good on you and what you might like.
This place is a gem (no pun intended) of a place for the Peninsula. If I ever want jewelry or need my jewelry cleaned or repaired I am willing to travel 400 miles just so they can work on it.

Geoffrey and his staff have always been very attentive and I love stopping by to get my non-Geoffrey's jewelry cleaned for free!
They helped me re-size an engagement ring, took the time to study the diamond and educate my fiance and myself about the diamond.
We are planning on purchasing our wedding bands from Geoffrey's and they already have done a preliminary custom design for us.
I highly recommend Geoffrey's Diamonds for all your jewelry needs. -

The very nicest people you'll ever meet. Also extremely knowledgeable about their craft.
I did a LOT of shopping around the Bay over the past couple of months looking for something for our 10th anniversary. I can confidently report that Geoffrey's is easily the best of the Bay.
Nearly every other jeweler I visited was arrogant, clueless, or in a few unfortunate instances, both.
