Dr Wang is great, I am generally afraid of dentist but this man explained everything clear and went smooth, however the receptionist is uncooperative, if you are in a hurry for work, arm with patience,
My wife went here for an appointment and had a different dentist, Dr. Charon... (abbreviated because her last name is extremely long). She said that the dentist wasn't that friendly and didn't take the time to address her questions. I'd switch dentists, but with only 1 more dentist appointment before I move out of Philly, why bother.

I agree, Dr. Liu is friendly and she filled my first cavity (ever). I will say that they are busy and understaffed due to the quality of service. Dr. Liu gave me a shot to numb me before the procedure, however when she got back it started to wear off and had to give me another. I am not a wussy so, I was happy to get another shot. Honestly, I feel like they really do live up to their name (being gentle) and that's probably why my appointments take so long. When you are under their care they are careful, slow, meticulous and very receptive. I had three cavities to fill and did not experience any pain there or afterwards. I truly recommend them but make sure you have time to be there.
I agree with "Steve G's" review that Dr. Liu is friendly but that everything else about Gentle Dental is bad. The hygienist took less than five minutes cleaning my teeth the first time that I was there. I had a filling replaced there, and my tooth hurt for several weeks afterwards. I just don't trust them, so I have since moved to another dentist.
