The other reviewer may have had a great experience with Dr. Alberta Quaidoo, but that was only because she cared about retaining him as a patient.  She saw me a total of two times.  She was leaving Gentle Dental.  She just wanted to hurry up, get paid, and leave, so she rushed through everything, misdiagnosed me, and slapped an ill fitting crown into my mouth.

She didn't care about doing quality work and didn't care about me as a patient because she knew she would never see me again.  Marysville is far away from Bellevue, which is where she now works.

She does come across as caring and professional, but it was immediately obvious to other dental professionals that her work was sub-par and needed to be redone.  DENTISTS WHO HAPPEN TO BE GOOD FRIENDS OF HERS TOLD ME IT NEEDED TO BE REDONE AND THAT SHE HAD SCREWED UP.

Is it caring and conscientious to KNOW you put an ill fitting crown in someone's mouth and just leave it that way so you can get paid?  She didn't care that it would cause expensive problems down the road!  All she had to do was have another dentist at that location finish the work she had started, but no, she wanted to get paid!

A crown is supposed to cover your entire tooth.  You could see the tooth peeking out from the edges of the crown.  Would you call that quality dental work?  I can understand the misdiagnosis, because mistakes happen, but the crown too?  Can you explain how she is a professional for doing that?  

You're supposed to send the crown back if it's that ill fitting so it can be remade, but she reshaped it herself and just slapped it on there.  She didn't care!  She wanted to be paid!  If she had sent the crown back to be remade, she would not have gotten paid!

But anyway, this is an update regarding Gentle Dental of Marysville, and Dr. Alberta Quaidoo no longer works there.  Apparently her former dental assistant doesn't either.  Gentle Dental was also screwed by Dr. Quaidoo, since they are stuck covering the cost of a portion of the work.

Today I had the crown she placed in my mouth removed.  Dr. Bennett is performing the work.  He is the same dentist that performed the work on my husband's mouth.  He is a professional dentist who takes the time necessary to do things right the first time and who was willing to step up to correct the shoddy work of Dr. Quaidoo.  

They could've just easily flipped me the bird and told me to take Quaidoo to court over this, but you know what?  They care about their patients and were willing to fix my problem.  They are even allowing me to pay for my portion of this work when it's all done instead of having me pay half up front so that I don't have to put it on a credit card.  THEY ARE CARING.  

I would recommend Dr. Bennett to anyone in the area in need of a dentist.  In three weeks, I will have the bridge and this entire ordeal will be over with.  Dr. Porter (also at this location) is my usual dentist and I would recommend him too.

My statement regarding Dr. Quaidoo is not defamatory.  I didn't concoct it.  It is a statement regarding actual work that she performed in my mouth.  You can be kind and caring and still be a terrible dentist.  It is possible that when she takes her time she does quality work, but that was definitely not the case with me.  Because she didn't care.

Even with this dental nightmare, this Gentle Dental went out of their way to fix my problem.  For that I fully recommend them.  My husband and I still go here for our dental work despite this whole situation and there isn't any sort of weirdness about it.  Quaidoo screwed up and Gentle Dental is fixing the mistake.  End of story.
