Genoa Trading Company
1 review for Genoa Trading Company
The Genoa Trading Company is a cute little "hole in the wall" shop that is well worth the effort to stop by and look around (and even with a drink in your hand). It is located in right next to the Genoa Bar (Nevada's Oldest Thirst Parlour) in historic downtown Genoa.
They specialize in Native American collectibles, jewelry, artwork. I enjoyed looking at the old turquoise jewelry, while my son enamoured with the moonstone offerings. We found a nice pair of earrings for his mother, but what he really wanted was a particular pendant.
I agreed that particular moonstone piece was nice, but warned him that he would lose it (and he later did). He pulled out all the begging, promise and manipulation stops, which he didn't learn from this parent. Growing weary and appreciative of his good behaviour over the weekend, I decided to cut a deal. He got the $20+ piece of jewelry in exchange for no trips to Target and no Magic cards or other toys for a month. And he was desperate enough to seal the deal with a pinkie swear. Upon later reflection, my son for some odd reason thinks that he was had?
