    What a cool store!

Tons of Tibetan, Thai, Hindu art, jewelry, and home decorations. This store is really beautiful. Whether you are looking to pick up some wall art, some wooden plates for your home, incense, or jewelry, they have it all! Some amazing wooden carvings and sculptures reside there as well. You can get items from less than a dollar to several hundred. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the store is clean. Stop in if you are in the area!

I am a wannabe hippie child.  This is the place that carries what I came to Haight Ashbury district in San Francisco for....lovely incense, candles, sandlewood oil, and silver jewelry so intricate from India.

I've been popping in and out of this store for years and always enjoyed just being in there.  They have remarkable pieces of art from all sorts of Asian cultures... Hindu, Buddhist, Thai... All sorts of cool things to look at and plenty of affordable products nicely priced under $10.  Definitely a great place for decorations, gifts, and jewelry.

One employee in particular was a big help to me the other day, Lauren, was so kind when I was questioning her about where I could find more "dead buttterflies" and such for my brother-in-law, an avid dead insect collector.  She let me know of two additional stores in SF that would probably carry what we were looking for.  It was just so nice for someone to actually help out like that, even if they weren't the ones who would be profiting that day.

I hope that this review helps ad much more profit to this store and maybe some nice words to Lauren.  I'll be back soon to buy these really cool abalone shell boxes because I'm totally kicking myself for not getting it.   Totally worth the drive from the North Bay for a fun shopping excursion on the normally disappointing Haight Street.

Enjoying our last day strolling through the streets we came upon this store. For all the New Age enthusiast, this is a great store. Large store, huge selection of lotions, incense, oils, burners, books, CD's, etc....so much to choose from.

Beautiful pieces of artwork, statues, and the prices were somewhat reasonable for the area. The staff were friendly and helpful. Cool place to grab a few gifts. Unique, inviting, the aroma was peaceful and gave you a relaxing shopping experience. I did leave with a few items as this is a pretty cool store. Stop in and find a great unique item or more.

What an awesome place I've never yelped!

It's a nice atmosphere and shopping environment.  You would think that there's incense burning all over the place and that you couldn't shop with the smell of musk.  Very wrong!  It's not that type of place at all.

If you are into Buddhism, Hinduism, Feng Shui and things-that-just-smell-good, then this is the place for you!  You can find lotions, massage oils and natural soaps for reasonable prices.  It also has one of the largest selections of statues and figurines of deities.  There are also some great books and kits on meditation.  Whether it's gift giving or gifts for yourself, it's a sweet place where you will feel both refreshed and at peace (even though you might spend $100+ on some GREAT stuff).  Just meditate on not spending that much next time...

Wow. Neat stuff. Crazy stuff. Expensive stuff, too. Rather New Age-y on the whole, which isn't quite my thing. They stock a fair amount of incense, all sorts of really nice-looking statues, crystals, and assorted other paraphanelia.

    + for general neatness
+ for specific neatness (I got a Galileo thermometer)
    - for Stupid New Age nonsense *

    * (There's New Age, which is one thing around here, and then there's Stupid New Age nonsense. Like "burning a tea light inside this rock salt crystal lamp will absorb the radiation from your computer monitor and make you healthier". Uh-huh. And if you believe *that*, I have a Creationism Museum to sell you. The - is just for the Nonsense, not the rest of it.)

This shop has a wide array of incense and other smelly (in a good way) home accessories, decorations and furnishings.  Great shop for gift shopping.  It's a very spiritual type store, buddha/goddess figurines, water fountains, etc.  There's even beauty products, burning oils, massage oils, body lotions, etc.

Very cute store, nice shopping experience, the floor people ask you if you need help, have any questions, but they don't follow you around and annoy the hell out of you.  Take the time to browse the store and discover all sorts of new trinkets!

This is my favorite of the little thing-a-majig, knick-knack stores on haight. love the candles and the jewelry -- bomb ass carved wooden hairpicks for just a couple of bucks. If you need to get a gift or just add some eastern vibes to your room, this is the right place to do it. The girls and guys who work behind the counter and really chill too -- unlike a lot of the stores on this street. To top it off, awesome shopping music to the tune of "Namaste: Flowering" and other new age beats.

Cool store to browse through, they got all these exotic looking trinkets and knick knacks. Anyways, it's reminds me of a more exotic World Market-ish except without food of course. They sell incense holders, wooden statues, puppets, jewelry, and etc. In fact I bought a SUPER CUTE turtle incense holder. It's a lot of fun browsing through this store and check out the $40,000 statute in the middle of the store! :) I would definitely come back here to browse and buy (again and again) and they take credit card! :0)

This is where you can find me shopping for house decor! I can seriously spend hours at Genesis Imports. They have an array of Lovely buddha heads and statues, imported wall art from India and all over Asia, hand made items, wooden plates and serving dishes (which I promise one day I will stock up on) and so so much more. The owner & staff are very nice and careful with the items purchased, wrapping each and every single thing individually. Very reasonable prices, too.

It's so fun to be in this store. They're always playing music super loud, so I feel like I'm at an indian dance rave. So yeah they have a good selection of music. I once went in there and they were playing a song titled "Ganesh is Fresh." Yeah. I don't know what that other reviewer was talking about, the store doesn't feel new age-y at all.

Beautiful hand carved wooden statues from like thailand, Africa, and Nepal.

They have a LOT of incense. It all smells good.

Cute knick knacks for the person whom you have no idea what to give them as a present.

P.S the manager of the store ( a hip hop looking asian guy) is a total cutie. He's super nice, and is VERY knowledgeable on all the different gods and godesses, and religions that they cater to.

I took a big chunk out of my Christmas shopping list at Genesis. You can get unique gifts here and there is something for all ages. The staff is so genuinely helpful and knowledgeable on all their products. Some items purchased:
-'at ease' CD (great for meditation, yoga) - $22
    - Live shrimp ecosphere (can't describe - just go there and see for yourself) - $49
    - A few Kamasutra champagne and strawberry oils (good for 'couple' gifts) - about $19
    - Singing Bowl (spin the wooden wand around the rim and you will fall in love - going back to get more!) - $45
    - purple wooden giraffe puzzle $15
    - soaps (w/out petroleum...all natural and yummy) - $4 each
    - wooden serving tray - $12
    - bathing salts in a variety of scents (can't wait to hop in the tub w/these!)
I'm going back to get their 30 min sand timer  ($50) and a singing bowl for myself now that I'm addicted. Oh, and maybe a live shrimp ecosphere and another CD.
I have gone new age I think. This store will do it to ya.

Friendly and helpful staff and really cool selection.  A good place for a unique gift or for something different to add to your own collection.  They have a lot of things relating to Asia and Egypt, especially in terms of spirituality.  They also sell bundles of white sage, incense, Tibetan prayer flags, etc.  Neat little place.
