Gateway Park is indeed a great and fun place to be. They've got go-karts, mini-golf, but my favorite: the batting cages. This place will restore some youth, or at least make you even more envious of the youth!
Downside (and this is a critique about Boulder in general): They had the worst haunted house ever at this place. Of course, it still blows my mind that Boulder doesn't have a haunted house, as I don't even think Gateway has one anymore. What's up with that?

Feel like a kid again! Whack some balls in the batting cage, play a round of mini-golf, or, my favorite, peel rubber in the go-carts. Each cart is different so pay attention if you have to wait in line; you don't want to be stuck with the lemon. It's silly but it's worth one visit each summer.
Though it seems vastly out of character, I HAVE been here--its true. On account of loneliness and...sorrow I guess. There is no cure for the former like go-carts and batting cages + 10 of your hippie roommates to...make you more miserable. In fact, I recalled my memory of visiting the Gateway the other night upon watching a show featuring more of the same on TLC..AND I remembered...how much I dislike go-carts, video arcades, things of this general demeanor. And I remembered how happy I am not to be there now. Yay!
Miniature golf, batting cages, go carts a driving range and a small selection of video games. Predictable. I can handle about one or two visits a year. I leave after the go carts have made me dizzy.
