I love this beauty store. The women are amazing and all the products they have are crazy low prices! I get my hair done there and I would refer anyone to them. I have been going there since Fong owned the store. Now Inga does my hair. The prices are so resonable and she really did work hard to fix up the salon. I would bring my boyfriend in for a haircut once a month and they treated us so great. Her sister-in-law is her side kick!!
I go here for the hair cuts and they are great. Enkah does an awesome job and she really takes time to understand what you want and perfect it. I get my daughter's hair cut here and she is 10 times nicer than anyone at the Panda room. Inexpensive. The adult cut I got was just as good as the salon haircut I'd get in my former city salon...and with way more friendly service...and half the price.
Give them a try!!! I'm a big fan!!!

I have to say that the girls at Gateway inspired me to write my first review on Yelp--they are WONDERFUL. I called at 2pm today to see if they could squeeze me in, and I was sitting in the chair by 3. I have never had such a thorough color in my life (and my previous stylist in Denver was so good that I would fly in just so she could work her magic). Oyun continually checked and adjusted my highlights so they were perfect. And my blowout, straighten, and cut was no less impressive. Both Oyun and Enkah take great care in their work and consult you every step of the way! Even as it was time to close up shop, Enkah took her time to make sure every strand was perfect. As I left the shop at 6:30 (a full half hour after closing time), I was incredibly happy that I had given Gateway a try. I had an amazing hairstyle (and paid less than I ever have), found some great beauty products, and spent the afternoon with some truly talented and friendly people. And as the cherry on top, I got a great big hug from Oyun's daughter as I left!!
Fantastic Artistry! I have never received so many complements on my hair style and color in my life. So worth the drive. The price is not too pricey and so worth the value you are getting. I will never go anywhere else as long as this wonderful hidden gem is around...
I just went yesterday to pick up product, I came out with a fabulous cut and straightening treatment. Inga was NOT pushy I just asked questions and she made me comfortable like she really knew what she was doing. I immediately received compliments on the cut and texture of my hair. I also love the fact that they cleaned up the store nothing on floor, organized and clean.
Located in the Marin City shopping center the Gateway Beauty Supply has just underwent a change in management. What an improvement. I used to drop in just for the salon supplies- hair product, nail polish etc. I knew they had a beauty salon attached but given how slovenly the store was displayed I was never too keen on letting them touch my face or hair. However, I was struck the last time I went on how much it was cleaner & neater it was - its amazing how things on shelves look as opposed to dumped on the floor in piles! So I tried a hair cut, color & blow out - Inga told me she'd get it all done for $60. I was a bit scared - that seemed too low. Imagine my surprise - while it wasn't as nice as a solely dedicated salon it was pretty damn good. Well worth the $60 plus $15 for the tip. I'll be back - I would keep this little secret to myself but I want this shop to stay open - so I wanted to share. Its a work in progress but I think its only going to get better. It already has!
