3 reviews for Garcias Restaurant
I can't believe no one's reviewed Garcia's yet.
I love love love their pollo caldo. Must have it with the pico. Large please. With the enchiladas rancheras con pollo for me, and enchiladas garcias for the hubby. The boy loves their beef quesadillas, and the girl can now eat three cheese enchiladas with rice and beans.
Pro-cheap eats, nice wait staff.
Con-no alcohol, parking.
I love this place and always have. If you've lived in Kyle a while you should already be eating here. Most of the menu is basic Mexican restaurant fair but its all delicious. The prices have gone up a bit but its still worth it. I highly recommend the Garcia's Chicken Fried Chicken. Its smothered in queso and has avocado slices on it and comes with charro beans. If you feel like a light meal I recommend the tortilla soup. I've always had friendly staff and during busy times the wait can be a little lengthy. Five out of six doctors agree that eating at Garcia's will make your tummy happy.
People are friendly, but the food is average or below. Not terrible, but not good either. I wouldn't take a date here! The best analogy is that someone microwaved mexican TV dinners and put them on a plate. I have eaten at the Lockhart location 4 times (no choice), and at the San Marcos location once. Better than Taco Bell, but not much.
