Hmmm, I wonder if this place is still open. They claim they are a zoo, but in actuality, they are a PETTING zoo. Pretty boring and kinda expensive. BUT I do have to admit that I go there every summer JUST BECAUSE of some stupid nostalgic reason. It is near the best drive-in in the world, Shankweiler's. So my boyfriend I go there to kill time before the first show.
If I could make a suggestion. The drive into the park is actually better than the park itself. There are buffalo, gazelles, and horses to look at as you drive along the hillside. This costs nothing and you can zoom right past the petting zoo itself. Although, I would call to make sure they are still there. I haven't been there since last summer, and I vaguely remember that they were having some kind of fund drive....
