Very friendly game store, with a large game room and a good variety of miniatures to choose from - they even stock some 28mm historical, which can be pretty hard to find these days.

19Feb08 - I've upped my rating to 5 stars, as this place seems to keep getting better and better

So this place has moved, if you didn't realize.  It's right across from Costco on Coleman Ave.  And so far it's still the same place, only bigger.  Huge selection, knowledgeable people.  For the uninitiated, it's a gaming store that carries a lot of table top rpgs, miniatures, and board games.  So anything that requires gathering a bit of people in one room.

Check it out if you are king nerd and secure in your own nerdness.

Geeks unite!  might be Game Kastle's battle cry.  If you want to play Magic: The Gathering, then you can join a slightly hygiene challenged crowd of boys and men in the game room on Friday nights and have at it.  To the victors, are more Magic cards!

If you're like games or seriously into games, then Game Kastle is well stocked with lots of stock.  The staff is friendly and knowledgeable as well.   Finding the store is a bit tricky as a Valero gas station makes seeing the storefront difficult.   Look for the sign high up on Newhall Road.

Monday nights, baby. I'm a newbie- and the dudes were really nice about showing me the little game room in the pseudo hotel/apartment complex. You can BYOF/B - as long as not alcohol. I will definitely be purchasing from their store in the near future - good selection, friendly folks.

Best game shop in town...The staff are all very nice and helpful, their selection is top-notch, their gaming rooms are nice (for a game store, that is...I wouldn't want to live there when the place is packed with sweaty gamer dudes like me. :^)

Trick for newbies, go east on Newhall and enter the driveway right after the gas station. It's tricky to find the first time.

I love, love, love playing games.  I usually order them online from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/...) or FunAgain (http://www.funagain.co...).  But when we needed a game last minute as a gift, we looked up the closest game store and found Game Kastle.  It's easy to miss if you're driving by, but it is well worth a visit.  Not only did they have what we wanted (Robo Rally), but the had every Catan expansion.  The prices matched what I could find online for the few games I compared.  I will certainly be back.  My mother-in-law has reported that they do not carry jigsaw puzzles.

Terrifically friendly and game-wise staff.  I've felt welcome and taken care of every time I stop in.  If it were closer, I'd go every time I needed to buy a game.  Their selection is excellent, despite their small shop.

The reason they get a perfect score is that they host games nearly every day of the week in a rented space very near to the store.  I've been for the Monday night Eurogaming and the D&D Miniatures nights.  The game groups are generally friendly, but I've had some not-so-social experiences too.

Be sure to check it out if you're in the area.

Every Monday Night, you'll find a bunch of us playing games at Game Kastle.  Nice staff, great facility and good games! Thanks, Game Kastle!
