San Diego is so white-washed. There's a huge Latino presence, but the rest of the ethnicities sort of get pushed to the peripherals. It's disgusting.
Thank Jebus for places like Gallery 504. It's a black-owned and operated space that features African American artwork. They also have an Asian art section that will give your eyes a little orgasm.
Gallery 504's array of mostly tribal Africana artworks include a bit of everything from qualitative to touristy. The Asian art selection is directly imported from China and includes different traditional media like calligraphy, paintings and scrolls.
