Oh Gallagher's. Extremely cheap pitchers, lots of regulars, old pool tables, and pretty ancient bathrooms. It's super divey and suits it's purpose!
As of last week they no longer serve food - they are trying to get a catering company to take over the kitchen.

You have this stage, where you had folks singing and playing Irish music all day long. And I sang along with all my little heart.
You had cheaper carbombs than U city, which I appreciate, since the only beer I want to do is Guinness.
I am willing to admit the atmosphere was certainly way more festive and enjoyable because of Erin Express. None the less, my experience was nice enough, the bar staff was friendly, the crowd was joyous, but most importantly, THE BAND WAS A WONDERFUL ASSET.
Forril this place is so sports bar I would usually die here, though.
AND IT'S ANNOYING TO TRY TO FIND THIS PLACE HIDING OUT IN THE BOTTOM OF A HOTEL WITHOUT THE PROPER NAME ON THE DOOR. -

Gallagher's is not the type of place I'd choose to hang out with a small group of friends if you're expecting a good meal. It's a decent location for a group of my friends, and we've gathered there to partake in cheap drinks and snacks based on it's convenience. The bartenders and owner are nice folks, however, the food is lacking. They offer a small menu of fried items and sandwiches. In the past we've stopped in around dinner time only find out that the kitchen was closed. During our most recent visit, we ordered wings. Five minutes after we placed our order, they informed us they were out of wings, only to return much later to report that they "found some." Uhm, okay.
They had a live band playing on Saturday night, which was pretty cool, but the tunes were far too loud for the somewhat tight quarters and our group could barely talk to each other without screaming. The bathrooms left much to be desired with only one working stall and cleanliness not at the forefront. -

Only good thing about this place is ????
I have to question any rating higher than 1 star. Bad food, limited beer selection. Number of TVs do not make a good sports bar. -

Sadly I am revoking my 5 star review of Gallagher's. I went here last night and asked for their world famous nachos. Guess what, new menu. SERIOUSLY you're going to get rid of the awesome nachos?
No more frosted beer mugs plastic cups. And they also changed the prices on pitchers. PBR now $12 instead of $9. This will not stand.
I would also like to mention the place smelled like a "radio rock festival" or cat urine. It looks like Gallagher's is changing for their new lame clientele and they just lost a great customer.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I have been here once and have found a number of reasons why I thoroughly enjoy the place.
Awesome: beer pong thursdays, 2 dollar beers during football games AND during quizzo on Tuesdays, naked photo hunt, proximity to my apartment, formidible service and a damn good plate of fries.
I have really not found anything that is bad about the place - the clientele is a little random, but random is fun. Either way, I am reserving 4-star judgment until I come back in the evening sometime. But on a Sunday afternoon, solid. -

Gallagher's is a friendly sports bar with cheap drinks and great company. There are multiple flat screens with some sort of game on them (this was where I saw the Phillies win the World Series -- no better place), pool tables in the back, a jukebox, sometimes live music and a plethora of wee night specials.
The beer selection isn't great (by no means a Belgian Cafe or even a Bishop's Collar) and the food is only OK. Once ordered the nachos and was not happy to find them topped with Cheez Whiz. Every Wednesday from 7pm to 10pm, they have $.35 wings in four different flavors (hot, bbq, teriyaki and Polynesian) which are good but kind of small as far as wings go.
It's definitely atmosphere and staff that make this a place worth hanging out pretty much all the time. Head bartender Freddy is most assuredly the man while server Erin is doll. It's a place to come and hang rather than a place on Fairmount Ave where you dress to the nines. Definitely a great hang if you're looking to lay low. -
