This is one of my favorite restaurants! We eat here a lot and its always good! The family that runs it is very friendly and any of the servers are always eager to help you choose something off the menu if you are not familiar with it. The first time we went here, they sent out a gift from the kitchen: Gochu Pajun which is a scallion pancake make with green, red and jalapeno peppers. (You can order it with no jalapenos if you want.) We have ordered this as an appetizer every time we have eaten there ever since, it is our tradition and it is yummy! The chicken bulgogi (BBQ) is awesome, I also often order a dish off the ale carte menu, I can't think of the Korean name right now, but it is pork with kimchee and rice cakes and it is sooo good. If you don't like spicy dishes, that's ok too get Dolsot Bimibab (its a steam pot with ground beef, veggies and egg) or the short ribs. You can also choose to sit at the tables where you cook your own, that is fun to do sometimes. If you are with someone who is not as adventurous, remember they have sushi and Japanese food as well. The portions are always very big and you get traditional Korean side dishes (different every time) with your meal. Try it, you'll LOVE it!

A big Asian food fan, but not Korean in particular, until I ate at Gabose (Ga-bo-say) Korean. I don't even know where to start. Maybe it's the 9 little side dishes of deliciousness that comes with your meal. Beat that, deli, with your pickles and cole slaw. I'm talking about nine (9) dishes.

Bibimbab, rice in a stone pot, steaming hot, continues to cook at the table and gets all crunchy. So good. Also had the seafood pancake which was really nice. And the spicy BBQ pork which was also so good.

Great service, very helpful in the ordering process, and certainly a native's spot. I think my friend and I were the only non-Koreans in the place.

You can also cook for yourself if you like, which is probably good to do with a big group.

I havent been to this restaurant in at least a year or 2.  But i have been here a handful of times, maybe around 10.  The staff is always friendly.  The food is always good and authentic, probably the best in the area.  However it is pricey.  I always order the kim chi chige (soup).  Their korean pancakes are really good too, definately order that if you have a group to share it with as an appetizer.  The korean bbq is about avg, but not priced accordingly.  I would give this 4 stars if they lowered each dish by at least 2 dollars.  The kimchi chige i think was like 12 dollars.  It is 8 where im staying at now!

overall, very good food, but overpriced

We've been eating here since we moved to south Florida about a year ago.  The food is great, the side dishes are fresh and delicious, and they aren't afraid to make the food spicy.  I usually end up getting the spicy pork (jaeuk boggeum), and my wife loves the stone pot bibimbap.  (Don't ever get bibimbap without the stone pot.  The burned rice bits on the side of the pot are the best part!)

If you go here, be sure to ask about dessert.  A chef (the owner's wife, I think) makes the most wonderful, creative and beautifully presented desserts I've had down here, Korean or otherwise.  She makes them in small quantities, so sometimes she's out of what she's made that day, but in the year we've been going there here's what we've been treated to:

Tofu Flan served alongside grape gelatin cubes and mochi balls.  This was the first dessert we had there and it was great. The tofu flan was served in a shot glass sized cup and drizzled with a dark, rich sugar cane sauce.  I'm not a huge fan of tofu (unless it's cooked very well) or the consistency of flan, but this transcended both.   The grape gelatin was not overpowering and cut into small cubes and arranged beautifully on the plate with the mochi balls and the flan.  This was the dish that got us going here regularly.

The second time we came she had popcorn ice cream.  I cannot properly express how awesome popcorn ice cream is.  This time, it was served in two small bowls with a small pile of freshly popped popcorn.  The ice cream is buttery, almost like a custard, but definitely tastes of popcorn.  Eaten with the salty, crunchy popcorn this could possibly be the greatest dessert ever conceived.

We've been told bacon ice cream is in the works.  Maybe I need to go tonight to see how that's coming along...

I went to this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend. I dont think I ordered the correct items.

What I was looking for was typical K-town BBQ (Bul Go Gi and Kalbi), now what I got was some sort of meat sitting in a sauce and cooked in a deep pan on a hot plate.

I cant say I loved it but it was okay for what it was. The veggies were VERY good, this leads me to believe I just did not order correctly. I think I will have to try it again, I do feel they have what I want I just have to try and figure out their menu a bit.

I've eaten here three times because it's the best Korean restaurant in the Miami area. However that doesn't mean it's good.

1. Hwedupbab - This is supposed to be shashimi mixed in rice but it contained almost none. :(
2. Aljeegae - Pollack roe stew. It tasted a little foul, obviously not fresh ingredients. Almost inedible... I just ate it since I drove 1hr to get here and waited 40 mins for it.
3. Soondubu - I'm spoiled from Bookchangdong in NYC. But even so this soondubu was a watery mess. It was missing the Korean punch.
4. Soondae Gook - My friend said this smelled like rotten pig and tasted "sugutsuh" (rotten).
5. Soft shell crab - it was not fried at the correct temperature and was soggy. It was also very sour and left a bad aftertaste.

It did seem like a family run business and they are nice people. Maybe we just got unlucky w/ the bad dishes?

Frustrated with the limited choices, I found a Korean supermarket (Oriental Market) and started cooking on my own.

The more I eat here, the more I like it.  It definitely has more of a home-cooked feel to it compared to other Korean restaurants in South Florida.  I would say the menu is much more diverse than other restaurants as well.  I really like the galbi tang (beef short rib soup) and their pajeon (seafood or kimchi pancake).  I haven't tried their BBQ though.  Their noodles are homemade so you can't go wrong there either.  Everyone is very friendly and I've always had good service.  Positive experience all around.

Long drive from Miami.  yep 95, turnpike, and all.  Family run Korean place, is good.  (I avoided the Japanese menu.)  BBQ do it youself except for the 5 lunch portion options.  they have the charcoal and the stovetop.  8 banchan (mostly pickled stuff).  Had the tripe soondobu (where's my egg?)  A little liquidy, good spice.  Bulgogi nicely flavored (no combo selections).  Great seafood pancake -- pa jun, though it could be crispier
the dumplings were deep fried and ok
bulgogi, solid marinade and prep, kalbi also rich marinade but not on the sweet side which is good, and spicy pork good
came here again, should be a 5 star place esp. if you consider the other things offered, i.e. soups
the prices are high and the distance far, but it's worth it if you go in a group
new larger sign out front
still a good place (of course, not like K-town if you're comparing to that)
marinaded bulgogi and kalbi are nice (prepared)
had the fish egg soup, which was ok, dumpling soup with rice cakes mostly egg and onion broth
Haemal pajun still nice

Best hole in the wall Asian food in SoFl that I've had. This place was full of Korean clientele. The bulgogi we ordered was first class (sweet and not too oily) with all the sides and fixins (the best being my beloved fish cake). Also, VERY affordable for Korean. AND, open late - until 11 pm on Saturday.

A notable Korean restaurant  for the fact that it's locale is in the middle of West Broward, a wasteland of chain restaurants and fast food huts. It was my first Korean restaurant I was exposed to growing up. Food was decent and so were its side condiment dishes. The last time I was here, I recalled a special Asian-seating style table area marked by a raised platform. The menu was a bit difficult for folks unfamiliar with Korean cuisine so I recommend having a friend suggest dishes--closing your eyes and randomly eeney-meeney-miney-moe'ing your selection is not recommended here.
