Pico Rivera, CA
The guys at Fuzion always give it to me straight. Went in there again after having my unit fixed a while back. They told me exactly what the problem was, and offered to repair or replace the unit for a newer one with a small extra charge. I like how I always get my unit back quickly without too much wait time. The workers are really nice to me when I get in there and are able to answer any questions I have regarding my PS3 or Xbox.
I highly recommend this place I never had a bad experience yet and if I do have any other problems with my consoles in the future I'll always bring it back here.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Dan L.
Aliso Viejo, CA
I don't think it's an unfair review at all especially since I never took a toll road driving to your establishment and I was never told or notified that my unit would be replaced without my knowledge to avoid a further "commotion" because it's deceptive to do so without the owners knowledge. That's similar to taking your car into the mechanics and if they can't get it running again giving you a replacement one of the same make and model without telling you anything about the switch.
Further more when you state "In the end we had no luck getting your PS2 games to work, but to make you happy, we decided to replace the PS3 with one that has never had any history of repair and offered you a 1 year warranty for your assurance and hand delivered it to you." it is the first I am hearing about all this. I was never told anything about it only that the laser was replaced and it was working fine and the problem was the drive since it needed to be "reformatted"
I also offered to pay for any work that needed to be done on my original unit, since I told it was fair to pay for any repairs, but it was declined and I appreciated that.
The fact remains I was either lied to or not given all the information about my unit. Ultimately it's a video game console and it doesn't amount to more than entertainment but the real issue is the deceptive practice that has occurred. I would prefer having my broken unit back and been told the truth since, I had no reason not to believe your workers before if they said it couldn't be fixed, but that was before I was given a different unit without my knowledge and not told about the "one year" warranty. At least I would have appreciated the time and trouble Fuzion had taken to try to fix any problems it had.2 Previous Reviews: Show all »

i took in my PlayStation 3 to get some glitches fixed. At the time of bringing in my PS3 it was capable of playing BluRay movies, PS2 games, and PS3 Games. When I brought it in to get it fixed, they NEVER said anything about a possibility that my PS3 wont work ever again after trying to fix it --- thats a very important disclaimer woulnd't you think?!?
After 2 days they said it cannot be fixed. So i took the PS3 home thinking, "hey, at least i can still play BluRay movies.."
I was wrong, the PS3 wouldn't even turn on, and ALL MY DATA WAS LOST!!
Can you imagine how much it would suck to find out that your PS3 is completely broken with all your data lost??
I came back to store to complain, but they didn't even bother trying to help me.
what they did tell me for the first time is that when trying to fix a ps3 theres chance that it'll reach a point where it won't ever work.
"oooohhhh, now you tell me?!"
Dreadful customer service.
Apathetic Amateurs.
I've already submitted a complaint to BBB, and currently waiting for a reply. -

Like many people who have reviewed this business, my 1st gen PS3 unexpectedly exhibited the "yellow light of death," which many people on the internet indicated meant either purchasing a new PS3 or paying Sony $150 to repair/refurbish. I found Fuzion via Yelp, and spoke to Lam on the phone, who explained why the YLOD occurred (overheating issue), and what they did to repair the problem.
I brought my PS3 into their Huntington Park store on Saturday and spoke to Michael. He told me that it would cost $59 to repair (with a 30-day warranty), or $79 for a 90-day warranty. They do not make you pay upfront; in fact, Michael said that, if they can't fix it, you don't get charged a dime.
He called me about 1.5 hours later to let me know that (a) they were able to repair my PS3 and (b) that he could meet me down in Orange County on Sunday to drop off the repaired unit. He even offered to throw in a few free DVD's (an offer which I declined). As promised, I met Michael Sunday afternoon, and my PS3 is up and running again. Michael explained how the design of the older PS3's were prone to the YLOD and even explained precautions I could take to prevent overheating, although he was clear to explain that the YLOD could happen again in the future due to what he considered to be an imperfect design of the PS3.
Although their Huntington Park location initially seemed a little questionable and shady, I quickly learned that the customer service of this company was great. Although it's only been less than 24 hours since I got my PS3 back, I was very impressed with Michael and Lam's service, as well as their extremely reasonable price.
Also, for those of you who live in OC, the company does have an OC drop-off location, although it is my understanding that all repairs are made in their Huntington Park location. If you need a quick turnaround (1-2 hours), you should take your unit to the Huntington Park location. -

The guy was nice and give me some tips so it wont over heat again. -

I went there after reading the reviews here and in Google Places. Service is really quick (1 hr 10 mins to fix my PS3) and inexpensive. I paid $59 for the PS3 and $40 for a PSP that was also broken.
I really recommend this place for all of you with RROD, YLOD or other iPhone or console issue!
PS: They only take cash, so either carry some with you or take it out of the ATM next door (for a $2.50 fee, though) -

There was a time, a while ago, when I came to Fuzion because they said that they had the best rates in fixing electronics. At the time, they were advertising heavily on Craigslist along with 5 or 6 other competitors, each saying that they would fix it in x amount of hours (or days) in this $amount of dollars.
Why else would a person search out services like these?
Only when a person has a broken xbox 360! Yes... yes, the RROD (Red Ring of Death) came upon my friend and me when we were playing Modern Warfare 2 and it was a very dastardly sneaky move of the xbox, right when we had reached the zenith of our gaming hour.
After browsing around on Craigslist and calling up numerous companies, I settled on Fuzion because they had the best turnover rate (30-60 minutes) at a very affordable price. We came in on a weekend afternoon, sat inside while watching someone fix the RROD, and went on our merry way.
When we got back, we instantly popped in MW2 and continued our gaming frenzy. Ah, the good times. -

This place is fantastic for people whose game consoles break on them for one reason or another and they don't want to spend a hundred dollars to have it fixed by the manufacturer when someone else will do it for half the price.
The lounge waiting area is nicely furnished, the staff is really cool and friendly, open to chatting about gaming while they fix your console. They even have a PS3 set up in their waiting lounge that you can play online or watch Netflix on while you wait for your console to get fixed.
My friend and I dropped off our consoles, went out to lunch in Little Tokyo (Quick Tip: Daikokuya best ramen there imo) and the xboxes were almost ready when we got back. I had to flash my firmware back to stock and my friend had a red ring people (which is almost always overheating) and they fixed it with no problem at all and way cheaper than sending them back to the source. -

Dishonest store owner. Phone quote from store owner "Tran" for PSP button repair $15. Button sticks a little, but works. Arrive at the store, "Michael" says $20 to $25. I reiterate the quote was $15, and so Michael writes it down on the invoice sheet. Dropped it off Dec. 2, 2010. Supposed to be done next day or Saturday. I said I'll pick it up Monday. I call on Monday, it's not ready.
A week later I call for an update, Michael says he has no idea, needs to talk with his "tech guy". Another weeks goes by, Michael says tech may be waiting for parts. After 2+ weeks I got fed up and emailed the owner: forget fixing it, I'll take it back as it is. Store owner ("Tran" is apparently his name) emails back saying he left me several voicemails messages, and the PSP has been ready for quite some time. What a liar; my number is linked to google-voice plus 2 other phones that tracks all calls; this liar never called.
At the store today (12/21/10) the repair was $35 instead of $15. I said the quote was $15. The nice store clerk calls the owner on the phone to clarify. The store owner argues with me over the phone and again lies about leaving me messages. Then he argues that since he emailed back, that proves he also left voicemails. What stupid and flawed logic. I flat out called him a liar while plenty of folks are in the store; because that's what he is. Point is, if there is a price change above the quoted amount, the store should call the customer first.
Then Tran says "ALL PSP button repairs are $35." My response was, hey we both speak English, and there is no way $15 sounds like $35. Then he said he took in the PSP because the invoice was his hand writing, so there is no way the quote was $15 since all button repairs are $35. Busted again. Another lie. Michael was the one I dropped off the PSP with and Michael wrote the invoice. Not only that, today's invoice was a completely different one. The original had the notation that the repair may be $20-$25, but the quote was $15. That original invoice has been replaced by the owner, liar Tran.
Tran then said if I'm unhappy with the service, they can make my PSP back th way it was while I wait. I said that's fine with me. The tech talks to Tran for a minute and tells me they'll take $15 for the repair.
Yes I know $20 isn't a big deal to waste so much time over, but this owner guy was RUDE on the email, RUDE on the phone, and a repetitive liar. I read all the good reviews on Yelp before going to Fuzion, and when I met Michael and the techs in the store, they are a friendly bunch. Too bad the owner is rude, dishonest and will resort to multiple lies over a stupid $20.Comment from Lam T. of Fuzion Electronics 11/10/2011

This is one of those places that started out as a craigslist business that had you going to a shady looking area only to find out the guy is a friendly family person who is trustworthy and gets the job done. Plus the area isn't so bad (so you should free your mind about areas with minorities because minorities are GOOD PEOPLE TOO!)
About 2-3 years ago Fusion was one of the few places that fixed PS3 consoles the same day rather than waiting for Sony to fix it. It was about $100 that time which was pretty awesome.
Flash forward today Fusion now has a retail store. They accept cash only or paypal (ATM is right next door to the 420/PORN SHOP which charges $2.50 for ATM use)
Come here to have your PS3 or XBOX360 fixed/modded and they'll have it ready the same day.
TAKE YOUR DS HERE AND THAT'S ANOTHER STORY....You might have to wait a few days or weeks and they might lose your phone number.
SO CALL OFTEN and A LOT UNTIL someone finds your DS.
Also SANTA FE is a TRUCK ROUTE street so you might spend a lot of time in street traffic. The 710 is quite a ways away and going north on Santa Fe leads to downtown (another busy area)
BUT AFTER EVERYTHING THEY ARE FRIENDLY ON THE PHONE AND AT THE STORE.
Only bring your XBOX360 and PS3 for repairs...any other console go elsewhere... -

Nope they told me an hour and they finished it to the minute! 9:45pm i'm paying my bill and testing out my ps3 as if nothing happend! You cant go wrong with a $60 PS3 YLOD repair. The owner was even nice enough to put on a movie for us to make that hour go by even faster! Highly recommended!

I came here to get my 360 disc drive replaced and the guys stayed late to fix it in time so that I could play Gears 3. The next day I found out the drive was having E66 problems specifically with the Gears 3 disc. I spoke to Lam on the phone and he knew what the problem was right away and it was fixed the same day.
The service was so good that I didn't mind the risk of being ravished in Huntington Park!

My ps3 broke a few weeks ago from the YLOD. Naturally, I felt like my baby just died. I took my pS3 in and they fixed it in about an hour. The location and clientele is a little....scary. However, they get the job done. The people who work there are very friendly and honest. They told me that my PS3 might break again in a few months. About a year later it broke. I took it back and they fixed it for a significantly cheaper price with the same warning. I ended up getting a new PS3.

So I found these clowns on craigslist and decided to take my PS3 to them for repairs. BIG MISTAKE not only is far of the hwy and traffic sucks, but my experience with them was HORRIBLE. So I took my ps3 in because it was not reading any games. They told me to leave it there and they would check it out and for me to come back in two hours. I went back and they said that the tech that looks into these type of problems wasnt there and that they would call me the next day. TWO DAYS later I call them and they told me that the problem with the ps3 was a '' no video'' and that it was not repairable. I went to go pick it up and I decided to get a second opinion. The place I took it to next right away told me what the problem was and fixed it right away. The guy asked me where I had taken it before I told them fuzion electronics and the guy said that other people usually bring they're (fuzion electronics) mishaps. After he fixed my problem he tried to put in a game just to make sure that everything was working properly, but the ps3 wouldnt take in any games. So he opens the ps3 and come to find out that my lens/disc reader was missing along with alot of the screws that held the lens/disc reader in place. My advice to you is NOT to go to this place its dis-honest big time!!!! And dont bother going back to them to tell them WTF for taking your stuff because they will deny everything.
I gave it one star because I had to!!!! If I could I would give it a ZERO!!!!!Comment from Lam T. of Fuzion Electronics 11/10/2011

Yes I had the dreaded Red Ring of Death on my XBOX 360. I went a month with no XBOX playing time :(
I pretty much gave up on this XBOX and was planning on buying a new one. Finally, a friend told me about this place. I went on to their website and it seemed legit. I called them up and they said come on down. I took it there and they took a quick look at it. The guy told me $50 and about an hour and a half. I showed up two hours later and waited for another 30 mins while my XBOX was being fixed. Granted it was really busy that day and there were countless XBOXs getting worked on. They finally finished and my 360 was up and running. Just make sure you take cash. No ATM or credit cards accepted.

My PS3 broke. Got the dreaded YLOD! Found out about this place through Craigslist. I call them up and I tell them my situation. They quote me a price and I'm on my way. You'll probably need a GPS to find this place. It's in a little strip mall. I went around 2pm so there was plenty of parking. The repair took about an hour and a half. You can either wait or pick it up later. The waiting area has couches, gaming magazines and a TV. I didn't want to wait inside for that long so I went to my car and smoked a bowl! Haha! About an hour and a half later...they're done! They plug everything in and show you that everythings in working condition. I pay them and I'm outta there! Overall a good experience here. If your systems broken, I highly recommend these guys.

I have been having troubles with my PS3. Since ive been unemployed playing games is one of my favorite past time. When it wasnt working properly, life was a bitch! Too much time on my hand with nuthinn to do. Didn't think i had the money to fix it. A few days passed and i was like fuk it. Thought hard and then realized every day is the same day. No work means time to spare. Drove their at 11 am. Waited for an hour. Cost was cheaper than i thought. Came right back and game on. Cool.

I take it in leave come back they say it won't be ready until the next day due to overheating problems. Okay? I go to pick it up now they say unrepairable and I'm better off buying a new one. Wrong! I decide to go get a second opinion from another place and he fixed what they couldn't in 20mins. Not only that he tells me there are parts missing. Also that people that go there and after come to with the same problem. So in a nut shell they steal parts, lie, and take your money. Price was reasonable and drive wasn't far for anyone in the LA area. Rather then mailing your Xbox into Microsoft for 3 months of no-play, i highly suggest to take it over to Fuzion Electronics. After reading some of the reviews i had to laugh and feel a bit sad for this place. It seems like an angry customer is out for vengeance by getting others to write bogus reviews to damage their image or possibly its their competitors using dirty tricks to steer customers away. Most likely its the competitors. I mean honestly, which business in their right mind would steal parts or screws from their customer's game console. Im sure these parts cost pennies and definitely not worth the pain or bad publicity like the bogus ones these people are writing. Truly pitiful. I didn't have my console fixed but i recently brought in my iphone cuz it wasn't charging properly. I spoke to David and he took care of me. Told him I was in a hurry and if they could do anything to help get me out of there faster I will be in their debt. In less than an hour I got my phone back and its been charging fine. I like Fuzion. I definitely would recommend to others. Yelp is a great tool because I use it all the time to search for the best food. Now I also see it as a way where it can really damage someone's business if the reviews are untrue. Please yelp responsibly everyone. People's livelihoods are at stake.

shit happens, even with the best of places, and boy did i get ef'ed on my first try with these guys; however, mistakes are alright, and they more than made up for it. my xbox got the rrod back in dec 2010. they told me over the phone it'd take an hour for $50. got there and waited 2+ hours. while waiting, a guy dropped my xbox and broke the drive/tray, had to wait another half hour for it to fix. less than a month later i got the rrod again. they fixed it no problems, but then it got it again. using their warranty, i went back, and they fixed it same day, and a new tray i heard. with it all up to this point, i was pretty frustrated and pissed; but, for all my trouble, they swapped out my old xbox pro and gave me an xbox elite. sad tho - even tho they were trying to make things better, i get back home and the elite didn't work (something with the laser). i called them, and they hand delivered to my house another elite, which now works perfectly, and they still gave me a warranty for 4 months on it.
it was trying and frustrating, but honestly these guys are good guys. real good guys. it's relaxing in the store, you see them working out in the open - really chill. the guys are friendly and try their best to handle the somewhat long lines sometimes, and to handle frustrated/irritated asses like me :-) usually got a game on the tv in the waiting area, i heard they sometimes hook up consoles to it too.
i recommendate it highly. take my story as a rotten apple that could've been so much worst but they apologized their asses off and made up for it. check 'em out for all your repair, modin' etc. things for your video games. -

When my 1st Gen PS3 stopped working with the dreaded flashing yellow/red light of death, I was stuck with having to send it off to some far away Sony repair location and pay the $150 repair fee and not see my PS3 for weeks if not months. That was terrifying to me. So on a whim, I decided to check Craig's List and stumbled upon these guys. I was a bit skeptical at first, but figured I would at least call them to see what the deal was. I got through to a very friendly, well spoken guy who invited me to bring in my PS3 to their office and they would take a look at it for free to see what was wrong with it. I took it to their Huntington Park location and was surprised to see a bustling operation with customers coming and going and a very open repair area (you can actually watch your system being repaired). The guy I spoke to (Mike I believe), came up and shook my hand and said he would take a look at my PS3 and let me know what the problem was and give me a call back. I could have opted to stay and wait for the diagnosis and repair, but I was on my lunch break and couldn't spare the time. So he called me the next day and told me the PS3 had over-heated and they could fix it. The repair cost $59, which was less than half the price I would of had to pay to send it in to Sony (not to mention the shipping cost and extended time it would have taken to repair it). So I picked up my system a couple days later (when I had the time to drive out to their location) and my system was ready. They plugged it in and tested it to show me it was working perfectly. They also said if there were any problems I could bring it back and they would fix it for free (within 3 months, I believe). One thing to note: they are a cash only business, so it's a good idea to bring cash with you, otherwise you'll have to use the ATM machine next door, which charges $2.50 plus whatever fees your bank changes! Anyway, these guys rock and I was very very pleased! Thanks Fuzion Guys!!!!!!
