This is not my favorite Fuji Grill, but comes in at a close second.
Where Fuji excels is its perfectly-grilled chicken, edamame and ginger, and moist and fluffy rice. As far as chicken bowls go, Fuji's is the best. And I'm a goddamn chicken bowl connoisseur.
This particular location is in a strip-mall built on a bastard piece of land, so navigating into, around and out of the center is a bit tricky.

Man my bff brought me a chicken bowl from this place and I thought it was awesome. The meat was so tasty as was the rice.  I ate it all when I shouldn't have.  The thing that really puts it over the top is the ginger and edamame!

Great place to call in an order and pick up.  The Bento Box Special is spectacular.

Fast food Japanese... Great idea, horrible execution and delivery.

I went half and half on the BBQ Eel rice bowl and Poke Tuna Rice bowl. Also got a Red Dragon Roll and Washington Roll to share and see what fast food rolls taste like. Here is a breakdown:

    1) BBQ Eel bowl - Decent. Definitely not the best Eel I have ever had, but for a "fast food" type setting, it was OK. On it's own, I would give it a 3.
    2) Poke Tuna bowl - Holy F'in nasty. This was absolutely horrible. 1 star!
    3) Rolls - I have gotten rolls to go a lot better than this. The Red Dragon was decent, but the Washington was pretty bad.

Things to avoid, anything raw! It looks like all of their cooked items are just fine and average at best, but all of their rolls and bowls using raw fish is just horrible. The quality and freshness are definitely in question here with their fish. I should have expected this from "fast food" but my willingness to give it the benefit of the doubt and try was met with disappointment. Barely squeaks by with a 2 star.

So disappointing! I've been here once before and didn't have an issue. The food was decent..nothing spectacular. Just convienent and fast. BUT this time around....Ugh! I ordered the tuna takaki salad (don't order this!) and got home (there's a reason they tie your bag in a tight knot!) I opened my tiny small salad bowl and witnessed the thinnest cut of tuna ever! It should be a sin to slice tuna that thin! Who does that?! There were (I counted!) 4 slices of thinnly sliced (almost like deli meat cut) slices of tuna! How upsetting! I doubt I"ll be going back here! I realize japanese food isn't meant to be eaten at a place like this! Go across the street to jizake and sit there and wait for yummier and substantial japanese food to be served the right way! I hope this place closes....that's how upset I was at what I was served....and for the cost! BOO! Thumbs down!

PS Fuji grill, take down those great photos on your menu of your items that look NOTHING like what you serve to your customers! Shame on you!

Pretty good little Japanese fast food place.  Not the best Japanese ever, but the best I've had in a fast food form.  We've been eating from here sporadically for about 5 years.

They have a variety of bowls, and you can get them with white rice, brown rice, or veggies.  They have been supplying all the nutritional information for years.

I suggest getting the following (I usually get them with veggies or brown rice):
    - Grilled Salmon*
    - Tokyo Steak
    - BBQ Eel*
    - Super Bowl
    - Poke Tuna
    - Tuna Tatake Salad
    - ET Bowl
    - Spicy Tuna Salad
    - Seaweed Salad
    - Edamame
    - Tempura Shrimp

I've starred my two top picks.  I love me some eel., and the salmon is cooked skin-on, and they crispify it.

There advertisement on the wall states that they are one of Orange County's most health conscious eateries. My entree of choice is the Super Bowl, no not that one the other one, a side of edamame and a can on green tea...ALL TO GO!

REASONS TO COME HERE AND GET IT TO GO:

It can get hot inside midafternoon

Edamame can improve mood as can green tea. WOW!

You are hungry for Japanese and don't want to mortgage the house

You'll find one of my favourite liqour stores a few doors down

I am very glad I found this restaurant.

    It's affordable

I had a chicken teriyaki for about $5 and a glass of water. Pretty cheap lunch.

    It's tasty

I was happy to taste a terayaki that was not overly sweet. The chicken was tender and the rice well steamed. It was great to see they use the short fat rise (goes well with bowl meals. The bowl also came with green beans that you eat right off the spear ().

    It's enough!

I am also very thankful to the owners as they serve you the right amount. You get out about 80% full. Usually you can't eat all of it and the leftovers just go to waste. Plus, it helps maintain your weight.

I agree, the seating area is quite small but I had no other choice but to eat-in.

I haven't tried any other dishes, but I'll go back for sure!

Yuck! Horrible nasty-ass place. Been here twice. $30 down the drain on my second visit. I bet their other locations to the north serve better food, but they don't even have to try down here in deep south OC. Seriously, Ralphs has better sushi. Yes, Supermarket sushi is ten times better, and cheaper! Who goes here?! What's the use?!
