Your mission:  Go to a sports bar to watch the Sounder's playoff game.  Eat a tasty meal and have a microbrew...  Results:  one pint of Hefeweizen, a tasty barbeque sandwich and fries, 2 tickets to the game.  Total cost=about $32 including the tickets.
Right on!

This place is within walking distance of my appartment, and I will definitely be back.  I didn't even think about the possibility of buying tickets to the game until I got there.  But, how often do you get the chance to buy a playoff ticket to see the beautiful game?  Life was too short to pass this up.

Fuel.  Can.  Bite me?  Is that better?

I've done fire at this venue before, w/ the approval of both the fire marshal and the owner/manager, Mike.

Last nite?
Not so much.
After getting contracts signed by a private party to do fire there, as well as approval by both Mike AND the fire marshal (again), we show up and are told that we can't do fire b/c the owner hadn't approved it.
**Communication breakdown b/w manager & client ensues!**
WHAT?  ARE YOU HIGH?  DID WE NOT JUST HAVE A STRING OF EMAILS ABOUT THIS?

It's too bad b/c their food (I had a quesadilla there) is pretty decent...for a sports bar.

That being said, I don't plan on setting foot into that bar ever again.  I'm not a huge fan of Pioneer Square, nor of places that host a "Mary Kay LeTourneau Hot for Teacher" nite either.

Any place that can't keep their information straight when it comes to private parties can...hmmm...(you fill in the blanks).

PS - if you'd like to actually see the email thread, you may email me.  This doesn't necessarily mean I will share them w/ you.  But hey, you never know.

This is THE place to go before any Quest Field event! I usually go before Sounders and Seahawks games. The staff is very friendly and the service is great! We used to go to the pool hall around the corner (Temple) and it would take 10 min to get a drink and if you wanted food, forget about it. Not at FUEL! The service is awesome! Fast, friendly AND easy on the eyes! If you go in the morning, try the breakfast burrito ~ its friggen huge and filled with delicious goodness!

This bar and its owners are sick. They hosted the mary k- hot for teacher night...disgusting. I will never set foot in fuel again..they have lost my money forever.

I guess at fuel, money over rape is ok.

Regular lunch spot for the group I hang out with at work.

Food was surprisingly good the first time I went, hench why I've become a regular. Plus with the fact that its a sports bar, you get a fine selection of beers on tap. 4 Stars material - at least for lunch that is.

Fuel is the kind of bar that sports nuts dream about.  The kind of bar where you can find a great beer, a great view and a great group.

Food: The food is great. Their menu is changing and evolving, and it seems like every time more good stuff is added and stuff I never order goes. Woo Hoo!

Drinks: the best selection I've seen in a sports bar. Mac and Jacks is my pride and Joy, but they aren't stuck in the bud and miller trench that others are.

Staff: I have never had a bad experience here. Spills were cleaned fast, drinks were made stiff, and never was I turned away because i wasn't waving a $20 in the bartenders face.

Location: While not next door, it is in a neighborhood where if you wanted to go somewhere else, you could. a reggae show might be on, or something else, although fuel seems to host a good assorment of live music, dj's on weekends and event nights.

Events: Guitar hero marathon? big game hunter competition? live music and DJ nights? thank god for the bus system in this town.

Awesome sports bar with TV's everywhere and great drink specials!  The perfect place to watch your favorite games, or start drinking before a Mariners/Seahawks/Sounders game.  So fun and the staff is down-to-earth.

Another regular lunch spot.  They have great food although sometimes the food takes a while, this is where I watched most of the world cup games.  They have 10 42" plasma tv's throughout the place.  It's a little dark, but the walls are exposed red brick and give the place a lot of charachter.

The food:  Better than most bar food.  They got a great lunch selection of sandwiches, burgers, pizza, and a daily special that's usually pretty good.  The Girabaldi is good as is the nacho's.  Simple bar food with a good mix of more exciting items such as their hand tossed pizza's.

Drinks:  They have an all day 2 shots of jager for $10.  Also ridiculous sized beers for cheep during happy hours.  Why pay $8 for a drink in belltown when you can get the same drink for less?

Atmosphere:  I can't say that I hit this place up much after dark, but I'm told that it's a "party" bar.  Dancing and live music that kind of stuff, but I do frequent the place during lunches.  They got a nice section upstairs with couches and it's nice to just relax and have lunch with a few people and watch some mind-numbing t.v.  Bottom line, great for lunch and if you're into the wild party bar scene, look no further than here or so I'm told.

Bottom Line:  It's a great substitute for going to a sit down place for lunch w/o having to deal with everything associated with a sit down lunch.  During the world cup I went there every day and the waitresses are nice and there's that whole plus of being known.  Did I mention that they are pretty hot?    Just another reason to check it out.

Okay so I was looking for a place to watch the Jones/Trinidad fight. After calling several bars and wanting 15-20 in cover, I got ahold of someone at Fuel that said cover was only 10. So I went. To my delight they had both the Boxing and the UFC fight on! Dude 2 for the price of 1. Besides the fight(s). They had good food for a decent price. Both the asian hot wings and the spinach/artichoke dipp were really good. Also lets not forget $10 double (stiff) jager shots and 7dollar 32oz. beers. Friendly waitresses. Great place to watch a fight or get some food.  I must admit though I was surprised that there werent more ppl there watching though.
