Great standby dive on 50th and 2nd. Very friendly bartenders. Pint margaritas for $5 on Wednesdays is a quick way to start off your evening. Seen on the chalk board out front:
"Your liver is evil...come inside and kill it"
Sometimes a bar is just a bar. And when it's late at night and you're hanging with the work crowd, and everyone's in suits, you really don't need more than a bar.
Thankfully, fubar is there.
RIP Fubar, crushed in a freak crane collapse.
Yep... gone. Sad.
Not my typical place. Def. one of a kind. Went with a friend because everything else in the area was closed at 4am and it was a monday. Bartender/owner was super nice. The more I drank the cozier it seemed. Beware: bathroom is super small and not too clean. Good, inexpensive drinks, and good location. Ok.
Iliked this place, it was mellow and cheaper than what else is in the area. They have a juke box which means you will get a lot of random music played, that was my favorite part!!!
wow... this place just got demolished due to that freakin crane collapse!
Amidst the chrome, skyrises, and trendy cocktail places in midtown, this is like an oasis of a dive bar, a real rarity in this neighborhood. $3 dollar rheingolds, a jukebox, a pool table, a tiny smoking patio out front, and a nice dim living room type setting in the back with leather sofas and raw brick walls. Pros: drop in late in the afternoon, and you'll have the place to yourself, and natural light on the pool table through a skylight, and the jukebox is all yours. Cons: the jukebox is mostly classic rock, and the place tends to turn into a young broker sausage party after 10 or 11.
