Lychee fro-yo with fresh strawberries & kiwi. Excellent. Push the fruit into the fro-yo so that it freezes a little bit. That's the way to do it...
Hubby got chocolate fro-yo with fruity pebbles cereal, butterfingers & Oreo cookies. Hm. I don't know about that, but he liked it a lot!
Gotta say, glad we stumbled upon this cute little candy-colored gem of a shop.... now we don't have to go all the way to Pacific Commons for a cold treat! (T.E. snowbubbles)
Only thing is that there's never a lot of parking in the front of this place, so you end up parking up at the back. Also, it's a little pricy for a small with two toppings, although the flavors & texture make it worth it!
As I was sitting in my car recuperating from the strong cocktail I had for lunch, I was instantly alert when I saw this fro-yo place in the plaza.
Now I need to be sober on this serious fro-yo review.
The shop is located not far from Yogotastic (just up the hill to be exact). The shop offers five different nonfat flavors: Original, Vanilla-Bean, Pomegranate, Blueberry and Wild-berry. For $4.25 for a medium cup, I chose the Vanilla Bean and Blueberry as my split flavor. And for an additional $.75, I chose the sweet Lychee-Coconut Jelly as my lonely topping. The Vanilla Bean flavor was sweet and creamy, but the syrup of the coconut jelly made it much sweeter.
I'm glad I'm sober enough to enjoy my frozen treat.
Cash only for this little place.
Chinese-owned and a Yelp-approve sticker on the entrance door.
I LOVE FROGGIES! I NEVER get sick of this place, and it feels especially good after an intense workout.
They always have rotating flavors, so the usual customers always have something new to try. My favorites are Green Apple, Mango, Passion fruit, and Strawberry, but there's always something good. Tart is always available and it's DELICIOUS. it's also inexpensive, and you can get a buy 9, get 1 free card (up to $5 worth). Carlos is always friendly, helpful, and if you're a regular, he remembers you :)
5 stars for Froggies!
I've tried many fro-yo places and this one is definitely rated in my top 2 favorites.
Their original tart is probably the best flavor they have.
Staff is very friendly and their store is very cute inside. Very colorful and clean.
I would definitely recommend this place for someone looking for a good fro-yo place.
Im a fan of froyo...original tart especially and their price is pretty good $2.50 for a Small but its more than what I can eat in one sitting. This is place is not self-serve.. They have less flavors but they change some of the flavors depending on the day.. i guess. I would like to try their green tea for next time...their strawberry or wildberry is a lil more Tart-y than other places but I love this place. I Recommend this place and Yoswirl on boscell(automall)
Next to try: Pink swirl on Mission Blvd.
A nice place to stop and just relax.
I always get the regular size original tart with mochi, strawberries, and cookie dough. Beware, though. Getting one flavor means you get a hole in the middle of your yogurt. I recommend getting two flavors instead. (: The yogurt is good, not too icy and not too creamy, and doesn't melt before you can finish it.
The atmosphere is nice...a couple noisy kids once in a while, but there's games, a comfy bench and pillows, and some water at the side.
OH. MY. GOODNESS.
A little bit of heaven right in my backyard, and it took this long for me to find it! Oh, the absurdity of it all. Good thing I found my 5 minute get-away to heaven!
They have all kinds of yogurt, and the best thing? It's all NON-FAT YOGURT! This is a Foodie's DREAM-COME-TRUE I tell you!
Anyways, their flavors range from Taro (a potato that is used in a variety of Asian sweets - don't hate until you try it!), Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Watermelon, Green Tea and Original Tart. Not to mention their absolute wonderful varieties of toppings, from Mochi (plain and rainbow) to almond rocha, to fruits of every kind! They even let you SPLIT a topping, making sure that YOU the customer, are super satisfied. This place really goes the extra yard for their customers.
The interior has been decorated and is so cute and comfy in order to accomodate any kind of group from a small family outing to an impromptu fro-yo therapy session with friends. They even give you a fro-ggie business card and provide a stamp on it everytime you order yogurt. Order 10, and 1 is free (provided that it doesn't go over $5).
Try it out! These people are clean, there's magazines, cards and games to entertain you while you hang out and fro-yo yourself to Heaven and back again. What do you have to lose with Fremont's hidden gem?
By the way: Try the Original Tart with Mochi, Mango and Blueberries. It's DIVINE!
I don't know whether or not I'll ever have the chance to put up pictures. I always eat my fro-yo faster than I can whip out my camera! And so to answer your question while reading this, "Yes, this place is fabulous, well priced, and CLEAN. Go here! You don't know what you're missing!"
Happy eats!
On the hunt for that elusive frozen yogurt delight and we tracked down this place. I was really hoping for a self-serve station, but found that it was not. Sad face =(
However the yogurt is creamy and they do give you a good portion, so I am not so sad. The people here are really nice and ad a little Pocky stick to top off your fro-yo.
Second time here. It's pretty good. Ask for samples & he gives them out. I tried Wildberry, Mango, Vanilla Bean. All were fine to me. I then got a Small Original tart w/ the NEW Colored Mochi! So very pastel, soft & chewy! One thin pretz stick given FREE w/ each order. Pic here:

Hubby got Small Vanilla Bean w/ sliced almonds.
small cup for $2.5 small + .75 ea topping. Our total was a little bit over $7. They now take credit cards w/ purchase over $5.

As I was waiting for my 10 hour brisket to smoke on Superbowl Sunday, I thought to myself what can I do to kill time. I remember Flobot aka Florence W. telling me about this froyo spot in Fremont that I had to check out. So me and a couple friends took the journey to a part of Fremont that I never been to before, a real nice part that reminded me of Socal. I was loving all the palm trees and the nice houses in the area.
Once we got to Fro-ggie's which was way way in the cutts. We noticed no one was in there, so there was no waiting. I ordered a small original tart with blackberry's. Which I thought was pretty big for a small, it was 5 oz's. I really liked how they top off your cup of froyo with a spoon and a pocky stick. Something that other froyo spots don't do. And the pocky stick went real well with the froyo. Next time im going to see if they have just the pocky stick as a topping. The froyo itself was pretty good, real nice tart. Just a tad bit too sour for my taste, but it was still real good.
The service was great, and the decor was real nice. Felt real warm inside once you walked in. Next time im in the area im going to have to try out that new vanilla bean froyo. I always have to try the original tart when its my first time at a froyo joint.
4 Stars for Fro-ggie's in Fremont
I've had a frozen yogurt craving for the past week and finally gave in. I'd never been here before but it was one of the few places I could find within driving distance that was open late.
I always get the same 3 toppings: strawberries, bananas, and mochi. I learned this from my girlfriend who worked at Coldstone and told me that this was 1) the holy trinity of can't-go-wrong flavors, 2) a good way to see how fresh a place kept their toppings. Their original tart yogurt is made from this Chinese yogurt drink. If you're asian, you know what I'm talking about (comes with a red foil lid/plastic container, gotta suck the life out it to get the drink). Not particularly creamy, but it IS froyo- not ice cream. Guilt-free.
The guy was also honest and nice enough to only charge me for two toppings because he couldn't fit a lot of it on under the lid. This, I like.
I'm not obsessed with frozen yogurt, so therefore, not highly critical of it... but it definitely satisfied my craving, was clean, and I would come here again.
One of the first known frozen yogurt places in the East Bay before the fro-yo fad came around. BIG SERVINGS -they do not skimp on frozen yogurt or toppings which somehow tastes refreshingly lighter than other places. It's light texture allows you to actually finish the entire helping! Yum, yum. The place also has a nice air to it, with bright and modern decor. If simplicity is your thing, then you've got to give this place a try.
Best yogurt shop in the Bay Area.
They usually have some sort of special going on (free topping, 99 cent night, etc), and you'll know about it before hand if you sign up for their mailing list.
RAINBOW COLORED MOCHI! CHOCOLATE MOCHI!
Okay yea so the rainbow mochi it's just different in color (still eggciting), but the chocolate mochi is covered in the chocolate powder and is awesome.
Still love this place.

I love me some FRO-YO! I lived in San Diego for a few years and was surrounded and spoiled by Golden Spoons (OH EM GEE, how I miss you Gold Spoon). It is really been hard finding good Fro-Yo in the Bay.
I think a lot of people who are into the more traditional flavored yogurts aren't as open to the whole tart movement that has swept thru California but Fro-ggie has enough flavors to make everyone happy!
I personally like the original. It never seems too tart or too watery. The fruit always fresh. They servings are really big too! No complaints - except that one time I did get a big air pocket, but hey, it happens. If I am ever at a soft serve machine, it never looks very neat.
Overall, I would go to Fro-ggie over Pinkberry. Yeah, at its base, the whole concept of the yogurt is just as trendy but at least it still feels like a yogurt shoppe and not a yogurt club (kinda like Wet, trying too hard?).
Next time I go, I am going to have to break down and try the Mochi. Everyone seems to love it.
Sorry for all the Pinkberry, its just lucky The Hills is such an awesome show and I truly believe it is the basis for Pinkberry's success. =)
This place is OK. the yogurt is creamy but runs out of flavor fast and quickly starts to not taste like anything. The toppings are decent and that little cracker stick they put in your yogurt is good. The place definitely needs better branding. I'm not sure why it's called froggie, and theres nothing that sets it apart from other yogurt places. They definitely need more workers for a Friday night. One person?!
I only tried this place because danny M and i were in the area.. This place definitely does not beat Blush in the DUB.
A major froyo craving hit me after brunch. Popped out the cell phone, yelped "frozen yogurt" and Fro-ggie came up. I thought what kind of name is that?? The janky sign outside didn't help either.
I never really notice how much froyo costs but seeing their prices made me stop. Is it normal for a small cup to be $4.00 with one topping? That seemed kind of pricey to me but luckily when we went it was happy hour! This is a special promo which is ending very soon, the sign said it expires 2/8/09 but during 4-7pm everyday a small cup is just $1!
When froyo places offer fruit flavors, I usually sample a fruit one and then order original tart but this time, I sampled mango and ordered a cup of it! It was really good. My friend sampled the vanilla bean and it seriously tasted like ice cream. Don't know if that's a good thing since froyo is supposed to have a tartness to it. But my mango was a great mix of mango sweetness and tartness.
Fro-ggie gets 4 stars because 5 is for when Pinkberry finally comes to Norcal. WHEN WILL I SEE THE DAY??
I was irritated that it took me forever to get here -- it's way on the other side of town, but I really wanted to try it out. I've been frequenting Red Mango a lot, but that's in SJ or in Palo Alto -- so I was hoping this was going to be a good alternative in Fremont.
The original tart was a little too watery and tart for me. I think I like Red Mango's original the best.
However, what I DO love that I can't find anywhere else is the Mochi. It's delicious and chewy and doesn't taste stale -- I do like all their choices of toppings. You can have healthy if you want, but they do have candy bars and stuff if you want to go old skool.
The price was a little steep. A small and two toppings was over $5.
It's refreshing and I would probably go back for the mochi and free pretz. :-)
i LOVE THIS PLACE ..... I got 2 cup at there happy hour. i love there yogurt and happy hour . There cup size isn't so bad . All i can say is that i love there yogurt and happpy hour
Flavors: NOT Self Serve
Original Tart: not impressed.
Green Tea: it was okay.
Chocolate: was nice and chocolatey.
Toppings: The usual NOT self serve. Charge by the topping. If you ask for more than one the look at you crazy.
Decor: Looks like a cafe. Could be a quite place to study.
This place is nestled inbetween a dry cleaner, salon, and other shops that are not opened late. Unless you count the Quickie Mart further down, you can already guess how poppin' this place was when I visited last night. Other than an older couple that was there for Free Wi-fi with their laptop, there was no one. The employee behind the counter was probably jumping with joy from all the boredom, once we strolled in. The flavors that were available last night were Vanilla, Original Tart, Wildberry, Chocolate, and I didn't really pay attention to the last one. Most likely b/c it didn't involve anything with TART, because I was feeling particularly "tarty" yesterday.
Original: Melts rather quickly, but it is smooth not icy. Tart, but not overly tart.
Wildberry: I thought this one would be sweet, but it ended up being tart and I loved it. A little runny though.
I decided not to use my eyes to judge how much my stomach can intake, so I opted for a small half original/half wildberry with fresh blueberries. The smartest choice I have ever made rather than going with my gut instinct whenever I walked in fro-yo places (Get all the flavors and as many toppings as you can! ha!). Deep down inside I really wanted a Medium with 3 toppings. None of the toppings really stood out. I didn't see too many selections of toppings or fresh fruit (More so, not many that I wanted. No blackberries, no raspberries. They did have pom seeds though!).
P.S. They have music playing in the background. Something I never really noticed at fro-yo places, but only this time b/c we were the only ones there late and maxed out the time until it was closing time. They have stamp cards, they have a pitcher of water for you, free wi-fi, and they top your fro-yo with a Pretz stick (I wish it was strawberry flavored Pocky instead!!) ^-^
went here after my kickboxing class cause my friend was craving froyo. Had a sample of their Lychee froyo and that sh*t was bomb! i asked for the sample thinking that it would be disgusting because i had never heard of that flavor, but boy, was i pleasantly surprised. it's so good that it doesn't even need toppings to perk up the flavor! i think it might be only seasonal as it sounds like they rotate their flavors a lot... i'm going back tomorrow and getting myself a full size cup of Lychee froyo.
Everyone go and try their lycheeeee froyo... like right now!
service was friendly--the people at the counter were nice and smiley :) not sure how i feel about the setup of the store though. the seating area didn't seem all that comfy so i'd pbb take it to go and add my own toppings at home cause i'm cheap like that.
I must admit after pulling into the center and reading the tacky "frozen yogurt" sign above the shop, I was a little turned off. One, the sign was not appealing and two I thought I was going to walk into a dingy little frozen yogurt shop. Hesitantly, I decided to try it anyway since I had already driven about 15 minutes just to try it. I definitely changed my mind after stepping into the shop, it was cute and furnished with typical Ikea furniture.
For the frozen yogurt, they offered a few flavors like original, green tea, vanilla bean, and wildberry. The selection of toppings were that of most frozen yogurt shops, but to add to the yogurt, each cup was topped with a Pretz stick (a common Japanese snack). The great thing about Fro-ggie is that they offer happy hour from 4-7pm, Monday through Friday which they offer a small cup of any flavor at .99 cents. The prices are relatively cheaper than most frozen yogurt places. Toppings went at .75 cents per topping and without happy hour, small cups start out at $2.50.
As far as the taste of the yogurt, I tried vanilla bean, green tea, and original (of course shared among three people). The original was tarty and in between icy and creamy, the green tea had a strong tea taste and quite tarty, but what really left my taste buds wanting more was the vanilla bean which was creamy and extremely tasty.
Fro-ggie was the closest place in the Fremont area that had a worthy rating, so for those in the Fremont area, I would say, it's a great choice, but as far being a worthy frozen yogurt shop, I'm still a fan of Pinkberry and Red Mango. One thing is for sure about Fro-ggie, you can't complain about the happy hour!
I had the vanilla bean flavor with brownie bits. It was kind of a lot, maybe because I've become so accustomed to self-serve. The yogurt was so cold I couldn't really taste the brownies, so the brownie bits were just about the texture. But I really liked the flavor!
Tien N. got the double chocolate with 3 types of chocolate candy. It was craziness in a cup. I think he liked it. But it might have been too much.
The decor is tasteful, cute, and colorful (but not too colorful). There is an interesting smell in the place though, perhaps of some cleaning detergent. Otherwise Fro-ggie is cool and worth trying out if you're in the area =)
Fro-ggie's original tart is on the creamier side rather than icy, which is my preference, so I liked it. They also have some unique toppings like honey balls and fresh pomegranate seeds. The place was also clean, and the yogurt portions are pretty hefty, with the smallest cup size being more than enough for me. Oh, and you get one free topping with any student ID... SCORE!
For tart froyo options on the Fremont side of town, I like Fro-ggie better over YoSwirl. If only Fro-ggie was self serve!
I tried out the chocolate mochi today and it is just like regular mochi except with a chocolate powder. I couldn't really tell the difference, but if you want to try the chocolate mochi, you have to ask for it because it's not with the rest of the toppings.
I have uploaded a picture
And mochi is free till Sunday.
I didn't want to put a cap on the top of my yogurt because I didn't want to crush it, so I put it inbetween my legs while driving.
I don't recommend. It failed.

Fro-ggie reminds of a froggy, and not just because of the name...its bright green (and orange on one side)!
Had a bit of trouble finding this place...but I knew I found it when I saw that black and white "Frozen Yogurt" sign! I was a little sad to hear the happy hour deal ended last week, but they will be having a buy one get one free special on vday.
I got a small - half lychee and half cookies and cream. Lychee was tart and tasted like lychee! Cookies and cream was good, but it melted fairly quick. I topped off with oreos, but wish I'd tried the choco mochi, which i will have next time i stop by. I also really wanted to try the green tea, but i guess i will have to wait another day for that as well.
kudos for having a stamp card! Oh and did i mention the free wifi? im writing this review as im enjoying my yummy froyo from fro-ggie! :)
It was a cute place with nice decor. . .. But it is not self serve which is a turnoff for me personally. They were having a 99 cent small yogurt special so me and the GF decided to go try it out. .. I had the Cookies-N-Cream flavor which was hella good. . . I normally would get toppings but it was 75 cents for every topping, And I like to super mix-n-match. . . You know like a passion fruit and chocolate yogurt, heaped with teddy grahams, mochi, cinnamon toast crunch, mango and lychee. . . . it's delicious . .. . but unfortunately I couldn't make my monstrous creations here. . . I would go again but only if they were having there 99 cent special. . . They also had Connect-4. . . I love that game. . and a bookshelf filled with manga and magazines. . . .
Actually, I am kind of like their yogurt. It's not as creamy as BLUSH and not as watery as Quickly. Just right in between, which I like. The guy who worked there was very polite.
But I agreed with one yelper's comment about rebranding this store. It is too quiet and mellow for a yogurt shop. It's supposed to be fun and playful for people to spend time during the day or on weekends. It's location is too quiet and the store is not outstanding enough to compete with all other new yogurt places. No wonder I just heard from a friend saying this place is closing...
They've mastered the blend of tartness+not-tartness.
Vanilla bean, regular and pineapple are all wooonderful.
The service is also superb considering they have to deal with the pretentious Mission High kids hanging out via mom and dad's Acura. Long story short, go when there aren't too many high school kids around or else it gets pretty loud.
Kudos to Froggie!
It's not self-serve, which is good and bad. Good because there's no drippy mess all over the floor, no spilled toppings all over the counter, and no high school goobers exploiting "sample" cups. Also good because the employees are much more skilled at neatly arranging the toppings than I am... my self-serve cups always end up a mess, and I'm happy just to have stuff not spilling out.
Bad because I can't decide exactly how much of each flavor I want. Also bad because, as my friend pointed out, they're trained to leave the frozen yogurt swirl hollow. So it looks like you're getting more than you are (weight being a truer indicator of quantity).
There's kind of a dearth of flavor choices. My point of reference is Yogurtland, which offers 14 flavors. But the wildberry yogurt tasted good, so it worked out okay.
The mochi topping was good. Seemed fresh. I can't remember the second topping I picked. (This is why I need to review places right away!) Oh, it was honey balls (Japanese: hachimitsu boro), more commonly seen in small packets at Asian markets. Also seemed fresh and not stale. Only yogurt place I've been to that has these.
Bonus points because each frozen yogurt is served with a... uh... cookie stick. It's like a naked (chocolate-free) Pocky. Makes it kind of fun and unique.
Service was pretty good. Not overly friendly... but quick, attentive, and clearly skilled.
I wanted to say I think pricing is pretty competitive (comparable to Yogurtland's 30 per ounce)... but looking at the price photo (thanks Anna D!), it seems like it's way more expensive. 8 ounces at $3.50 is an insane 44 cents per ounce... and the prices only get worse with toppings. What the crazy. That's even more than freaking Tartini. If the weight is even close to being correct, this is way overpriced.
But at 8:30 on a Sunday night, the place was absolutely empty. I appreciate that, since Yogurtland Cupertino is always absolutely packed.
Thanks to my cousin, I became a newsletter subscriber to this place without subscribing.
It goes without saying that I've heard a lot about this place. So a week ago I finally got to try them. The decor looked very familiar, typical of these kind of places - bright, white and minimalistic. I was a bit disappointed the yogurt wasn't self serve like most fro-yo spots I've been to. Even though I've chastised the idea in the past, there's something about being able to take your time and create your own dessert masterpiece. Sure, you still get to pick your toppings but when someone else is doing it you feel rushed. It's like, "damn, I really want mochi AND gummi bears but fuck it." Whereas if you're serving yourself it's more like, "Fuck that, I'm getting mochi, gummi bears AND fruity pebbles." At least that's how I feel.
But even more disappointing was the flavor selection, or lack of. I've been to quite a few spots from my time in OC, which is fro-yo ground zero, and just about all of them double the amount of flavors Fro-ggie has. When you can count and remember all the flavors with one hand, an upgrade in this department is needed.
Thankfully the yogurt itself is good. Not quite damn good as Icebee in SF, IMO, but still good. It's the creamy, dairy-like kind not that icy junk. I settled on the wildberry and regular tart topped w/ gummi bears after sampling their other flavors and was quite content (the pocky stick was a nice touch). I wasn't really in the mood for chocolate that day so I didn't sample it but the more I watched my cousin eating her's the more curious I became. Unfortunately, she absolutely scarfed all of it before I could try. So I asked for a sample on our way out and without a doubt, hands down, it's their best flavor. Man, thinking back that chocolate was NICE. I've been told vanilla bean is a good one also but shows up on the menu only periodically.
I would have to say the experience itself didn't meet my expectations but the end product did. Add a few more flavors and I'll update this review with an extra star.
I only like the original tart yogurts and have tried many in the Fremont area.
I would say that even though Fro-ggie is not self-serve, they have the best quality original tart. It's dense enough so it taste's like frozen yogurt and it has the right balance of creaminess, sweetness, and tartness.
In the few times I've been there, the girl swirls the yogurt such that there's a hole in the middle, which is not cool. The guy does a better job of packing it in reasonably.
For original tart, I would say that the best is Fro-ggie followed by Yoswirl. The worse I've had is at Yogurt Bees.
fro-ggie is located in a strip mall.

Serving slightly sour/tart yogurt flavors (soy, original, greentea, and blueberry) the best would be soy. Three toppings such as strawberries, mango and mochi balls with 8oz. Yogurt total around $6.50. Quite expensive for the amount, but 1-person will definitely be full. The yogurt is funneled such that the center is hollow, which feels like you're being cheated, and the toppings are carefully placed along the limited space between the yogurt and cup. Worth trying, but is hard on the wallet if continuously visited.
Really good! Not too sweet like at other places. Generous portions, double what I get in Alameda for the same size. Really good price.
I got a small passion fruit for $2.50. They put a free Pocky pretzel in the yogurt; a nice little touch. I didn't get a topping because I was stuffed from Korean BBQ at Auntie's Restaurant, but they all looked really fresh. It was the perfect dessert, exactly what I needed.
I did try the original, which was also very good and tart. Cute place in a very unassuming shopping center. I came on a friend's recommendation and I would go again if I was in the area. They have free Wi-Fi and places to sit outside as well.
LOVE this yogurt place! :) Don't know how they do it but their yogurt taste so much better than other places!!!!
I love love love Fro-ggie!
My favorite is the original tart and wildberry swirl. I dont even need toppings sometimes---maybe they can just give me extra pretzel sticks!
1 more stamp til my free yogurt!

A somewhat Fobby frozen yogurt place in an aged small plaza in Fremont. The service was friendly and fast. The original tart is pretty good and light, but not as fulfilling as some other places (ie. in the Penninsula or San Jose). Their toppings are of good quality, and fresh.
They started taking plastic. Bumped them an extra star. Plus I would have to say they are the tastiest of the tart frozen yogurt in the area. I didn't like Yoswirl but after trying Froggie, Yoswirl in hindsight was HORRIBLE!
BTW I love their buttery Poke-like cracker stick. It offsets the yogurt taste perfectly.
