Review from Eileen K.
The Camarillo Library is my favorite in the Ventura-Oxnard area, love how its surrounded by fields and mountains--view from upstairs is beautiful!!
But this is about the Used Book Store!!!
They have a great selection of all types of books, for SOOO cheap!! Everytime I walk in, I leave with a hand -full of books for hardly any money at all. Spacious, staff are super friendly, and soo fun to browse through. Oh the possibilities!! If you're lucky, you'll find DVD's for cheap too! I bought "P.S. I love you" (which I've been meaning to watch for the longest time) for $1. yes. you read right. ONE DOLLAR.
a great place to relax, browse books, and walk around the library. (inner nerd in me can't help feeling giddy when at a great library!) -

If you love a bargain, you'd love this place. I got NY Times best sellers for like a buck! Holy Cow! You get the opportunity to explore different genres and read different authors without paying a fortune like you would if you went to a Borders or a Barnes and Noble.
These books are used so granted you won't perfect brand spanking new books, but hey think of this you are not destroying another tree in order to buy your book which you will be done within the month anyways.
So here's just a samplin of titles that I got:
Memoirs of a Geisha- 2.50
Timeline by Crichton - .50
A Walk in the Woods by Bryson- 1.50
Ragtime- 2.5
A million little pieces- 1
Plus they have Magazines for a quarter. DUDE! -

Books for cheaper than http://Amazon.com?? Ridiculous. I have always looked for cheap books after I once bought a book for 30 dollars from Barnes and Noble. Once. Never again!!! I usually turn to amazon to satisfy me, but my lovely lady wanted to go to the camarillo library for a bit, so I figured Id accompany. She had been telling me about this little bookstore next door that was super cheap, but I sat in disbelief that anything could out-deal my amazon. I was wrong. 6 books. 5 dollars. Friends of the Camarillo Library is high on something. I got hardcover classics for 1. Brand new (looking) best-sellers for 1.50. All paperback fiction is 50 cents. Amazing, folks. They're all used, but its a book, not underwear, so get over it. Support the library!

One of the best used bookstores ever. The price is ALWAYS right. And the lady who runs it is incredible. If you ask if they have a certain book, she will almost always lead you directly to it without even having to think about it. You can find some great deals here, and the selection is great. They have a "Nearly New" section which has books for the same ridiculously cheap price, but they look as if they just came straight from the bookstore. And you're helping the library out when you shop here, too... awesome!
