My summer home away from home.
Any chance I get I head on down to this joint with a couple "hometown" friends and enjoy the awesome drinks, tasty crab dip and a nice game of pool to start the night off. Its got a great atmosphere, especially since they've outlawed smoking indoors. Sweeeeeet! The crowds a mix of hipsters, preps and wannabe's trying to score a cool seat at the bar or a chance of sitting in the private area near the back.
Wherever you are...seated or standing is always a great place to be at Friend's.

$1 PBR pints on Saturdays, free jukebox, pool, great people, great staff. When I get up to Baltimore, this is always a destination. The bartenders even remain courteous and allow you to keep enjoying the freeflowing libations if a member of your party has perhaps had too much to drink and vomits on the bar. If this isn't enough, you can even get beer to go at the end of the night. Between this and the nearby Leadbetters Tavern, there really aren't any other bars I need in Fells Point.
Good Beer, great jukebox, and usually a lot less crowded than your typical Fells Point bar on Friday/Saturday night. You can actually carry on a conversation with your "Friends" here (Try that on a Friday night at Max's on Broadway!).
Please Note: No Puns were intended in the writing of this Yelp post.
It was time to try Friend's after hearing about it for a while. The food is amazingly good, offering what works out to be a full, relatively cheap, meal to go with your beer.
The menu is vegie-friendly (am I really at a bar in Baltimore?) with many vegetarian items, including mini vegie burgers (to counter the burgers) and Sloppy Jo Fu.

I went to Friends for a birthday party last weekend, I had never been there before. As I was walking in the door, I bumped into a good friend from school that I hadn't seen in years. After we walked in and met up with our party, I realized that there was a second birthday party going on and I knew many of those people too! After a couple of games of pool we had gotten to know just about everyone else there -
my point is, for a place called friends, they really live up to the name! I had a great time!
My only complaint was that the bartenders take FOREVER to make mixed drinks. We ordered two or three part shots and the bartender would disappear for over 5 minutes, when he finally came back, the shots were HUGE but weren't mixed right.
first place i found nattyboh in a bottle!!! that was my highlight of the night, granted back then i didn't know fells that well, so i didn't know they sell nattyboh bottles everywhere.
I found this place after going there with my girlfriend at her behest. Friends is about 20 feet off of Broadway, but seems less crowded that a lot of other places that I don't like nearly as much. Also, the juke box totally rocks and it's cheap too! The beer selection is good, I haven't checked out the food in the three trips I've been there. The bartenders and nice and quick and all in all, this a good place to check out.
