I really love Fresh Market...the store is so inviting. The smell and the abeyance is just great. I do think some of their items are over priced but considering you can't find them anywhere else they can charge what they like...maybe Whole Foods but I live in Collierville so that is not convenient. I think it is well worth the extra cost for the shopping experience and the fact there is always good quality fresh produce, seafood and meats. Their deli and bakery are the best in our area too! Oh and added bonus is how helpful and friendly the employees ALWAYS are!

The Fresh Market reminds me of Whole Foods, Central Markets & Market Streets- a grocery experience. I love their deli soups & would grab lunch here.

I like the feeling of coming here. The staff who have been working here recognize you and they do make a difference by trying to make your shopping experience more personal and enjoyable.
Seafood isn't bad (though I can't say it's the best I've seen... selection is also rather small). The meat section is good though for some reason, their ground pork isn't as good as Shnucks'. You can find fancy condiments here that you can't at regular grocery stores. Fancy canned sardines, Bella Cucina Pesto, Scharffen Berger Chocolate etc... nice selection of cheese and a small counter for pastries and desserts. Oh, they also have fresh made sushi - and it looks better then the ones I see at other local groceries. I think the cleanliness of the store and general work area (that meets the eye) counts as an extra big fat star for me too.
It's a small Fresh Market (compared to the one I see on Top Chef lol) but it does it's job. Certainly a fanciest grocery store in town. -

With World Market closing in the metro Memphis area, I'll have to come here more for items not sold in regular grocery stores. Being able to buy big bottles of Orangina makes my day. ;-)

It is one of the better markets in the Memphis area. The shops carries a nice selection of cheeses, nuts, chocolate, vinegars and beans. The produce section is well stuffed. There are good deals on meat (e.g., Hereford rib roasts, NY strip steaks and Angus or Hereford tenderloins). It is the only place in town where I buy Chilean sea bass and Angus beef pot pies. The bakery offers a wide selection of delectable treats such fruit tarts, pies, feathery roll cakes.
