Fresco Flowers

Though I frequent the Back Bay location often, I sometimes find myself stopping by this one on the days I volunteer at MGH. It baffles me why people would shop for flowers anywhere else! Prices are unbeatable for the quality and presentation. The employees take great pride in their work and truly seek to make people happy with their creations.

My two cents - ignore the negative reviews (we all have bad days) & shop for loved ones or yourself here wether you have someone at MGH, it's Valentine's Day or you want a pick me up check Fresco on Cambridge St out!

How has no one written a thing about this little place?

First of all, they have Birds of Paradise- I love exotic flowers. Second, they have four different types of Tulips.

This place has a very chic selection of flowers and equally chic arrangements. If you are looking for flowers bordering on art I would say this is the place to go. Their selection of exotics is pretty good and they will special order flowers for you. Now, the problem- they are quite expensive.

Although the quality of flowers is very high, so are the prices. But hey, I guess fresh flowers are kinda a luxury.

Bottom Line: Save this place for special occasions, unless you have money to burn.

Fresco is a beautiful florist right by MGH. Definitely my vote over the gift shop in the hospital. The woman that I've dealt with has been very nice. Tell her what colors you're looking for and she'll put together an amazing bouquet (check out the pic I posted). She's put together arrangements of flowers that I didn't even think would go together, but worked out perfectly. Super fragrant, long lasting, and not as expensive as you'd think for the area.

Got ripped off for Valentine's Day.

Quoted me $55 for 35 tulip stems, for pick up from Cambridge Street store. Order had only 19 stems. I called to ask and owner said it was "extra price for Valentine's day" and refuse to honor the original quote. BEWARE.

I wanted to send my jocky turning 30 year old son his first bouquet. I didn't want it too flowery, if you know what I mean. They created the most beautiful Zen floral arrangement that he was thrilled to receive.

They were very understanding. The flowers were stunning and obviously created with great care.

My first Valentine's day arrangement in a while and what a surprise, I got the most beautiful arrangement two dozen red roses in a gorgeous vase I can't stop looking at them. The presentation is awesome, i have never seen anything like this !

I live on the west coast and needed to send a beautiful orchid arrangement for a client's daughter in Boston. I was excited to find this florist, and thought 'ordering local' would be best...was I wrong!

My client sent me an urgent message on Sunday that his daughter would be out of town when the plants were scheduled for delivery on Monday, and asked that I reschedule.

Not only did the website and confirmation contain no reply email address, the 'account' I set up allowed me to view the order, but not cancel or change it, and the only way to reach them was by telephone, and they were closed on Sundays.
I set my alarm to wake up and call at 6am/9am (PST/EST) when the website says they open... no one answered...6:30am still no answer, 7am, no answer, 7:30am...8am...

They are listed as a Teleflora partner, so I called them as well, but they said they can't help because I placed the order with the shop directly...

I don't really know what to say at this point... it looks like there are 3 locations, but only 2 phone numbers and neither is being answered.

i love this boutique flower shop right on busy cambridge street in the mass general area. they do everything right here, and this would be the only place i would recommend to buy flowers for someone you are visiting in the mass general facility.

all their expansive selection of flowers and plants are fresh, and will last long after you buy them. prices here are reasonable as well. sometimes exotic flowers are placed outside on the sidewalk for a bargain. they had the lowest price for evergreen wreaths over the holiday season. dress them up with a bow, et voila! they have knowledgeable and friendly staff at hand. and last but not least, they really know how to present their wares -- even the $3 bunch of daffodils was wrapped tastefully in chocolate brown tissue paper with a straw tie.

I love love this place!! Order a few arrangements from there... Not only they do and amazing job, but the flowers last it a long time!! Very chic place! Just want you ll want for your next occasion!! Also very friendly !! Really recommend this place!! Never disappointed !!

My wife is a nurse at Boston Medical Center and had to go into work on Valentines Day - I called at least a half dozen florists and no one could get flowers to BMC same day. Fresco was my last call and shockingly said no problem. They got a couple dozen roses over to her floor at the hospital in less than 90 minutes (on Valentines Day - in a Blizzard)! I was happy to get anything over there that day but these 24 roses also happened to all be taller than my 3 year old and made the whole floor at the hospital literally smell like roses. I have never bothered to review anything on Yelp (or anywhere else) before but felt compelled to share this experience.
