My name is Sandy Delehanty, and I am an Art Instructor and since 2001 I have been taking adult painters on painting trips around the world. Typically these trips are arranged by tour companies that specialize in painting trips and they hire a teacher who then recruits the students to go on the trip. I was contacted by French Escapade and was very impressed by their ideas and their referrences. My first painting trip with them in 2006, was so wonderful in every way that I will again be taking a group of students on a French Escapade in 2008.
Jackie and Valery really do make you feel like their guests and not tourists. We stayed in a lovely home the whole trip. Each day we were greeted with a wonderful French breakfast prepared by Valery, picked up our sack lunch and went off on a painting adventure with Jackie. She drove us to the most wonderful painting sites, along the way making sure we learned about the history and culture of the places we visited. At the end of a wonderful day of painting and touring we returned "home" to aperitifs and then a wonderful French 4 course dinner. We continued to learn about France as Valery's dinner's were based on the cuisine of the area we visited that day. After dinner we would critique the paintings we did that day and often continue to paint until bed time. What a life, I could get use to this!

"Wow, we had such a marvelous time with Jac and Valerie, I didn't want to leave when it was over! All the events were so well planned and Jac was well prepared for all our questions. We really, really appreciated her patience while we took a zillion pictures. We hope to go on another trip with French Escapade - maybe next year!
