A great place to go in Vista. I love this market because it focuses on healthy organic food without the high prices. They have a great salad bar and overall selection and it will continue to be a staple on my list of places to go in this area. BTW they have an excellent fresh sushi selection for lunch. The best sushi of any grocer and better than many restaurants!

Frazier farms is a great little grocery store to buy fresh produce, bakery items and deli meat. They also have a lot of packaged foods for one or two people. The salad bar is a nice treat...It's probably one of the few salad bars I will eat at in a grocery store. It has a lot of choices ...different types of beans, nuts, greens, fruits and it's very inexpensive. It's really a nice store with friendly and helpful employees.

This place has the freshest everything, and for the most part decent deals. I loved how i picked up TWO potatoes for mash potatoes for 4 people and it did the job and tasted way better than the ones at the other chains. I just really love to go in here when i want to grab fresh ingredients.
I suggest it if you have something harder to find or really want something fresh for your cooking, they have a great selection of spices. -

Great grocery store. You can tell that the employees who work there really care. It is clean, has a great selection of organic food. Not the cheapest option but not too pricey either. The parking lot is fairly large as well.

So lucky to have this great store with all it's variety and wholesomeness. Staff is friendly (a little snappy right around closing b/c they want to get outta there) and they always say hi to me when I come in. They have an amazing little deli with yummy salads and I am pleased they offer organic and fair trade products. Not a huge fan of their bulk items (seems like lots of regular stuff to me). But others seem to find it great b/c I can usually find clusters of shoppers in loading bags filled with nuts and grains, etc.
If you are searching for a health food store that also makes shopping fun for everyone, Frazer Farms is the way to go! -
Review from Bonnie G.
Did I go to the same Frazier Farms as everyone else?
I went today and was disappointed. :(
It was a madhouse. The parking lot, the store...everything.
I was on the hunt for yellow and red peppers. Ralphs was too expensive this week...99 cents a pepper. FF price: 5 dollars for 4 peppers. Huh? That breaks down to 1.25 a pepper.
I had to go through almost the entire bin of packaged strawberries to find one that didn't look like it would spoil by the weekend.
My box of cuties has 2 'bad' cuties. I found them when I was unpacking.
I'll stick to my other produce places. -

I love Frazier Farms! They have such a great produce selection, and their deals are so phenomenal! One week, it was three heads of lettuce for 99c! I walked away with a grocery cart FULL of fresh fruit, veggies, bread, cheese, coconut milk, quinoa and the bill was roughly $26. They always seem to have great deals on avocados and oranges, and their selection of gluten free/vegan/vegetarian/specialty food items is more than decent and very fairly priced. Also love their bulk section.
Oh, the boys that work here are cute, too. Total bonus! -

My first trip to Frazier Farms market was quite enjoyable. I went in looking for coconut and pumpkin pie mix and came out with a cart full of great priced goodies.
Mangos 4 for 1$! I also liked their extensive organic baking section.
They also carried several raw vegan food desserts and products as well.
We also picked up a kambucha tea making kit. This is definitely a unique product that I have never seen before.
The biggest stand out from other stores that I frequent is the bulk bin for seasonings and various spices.
Nice shopping experience. -

This is by far my favorite grocery store. The selection and the quality of everything here is amazing. Frazier Farms is my one and only stop for produce. You just can't beat the prices especially on Tuesday and Wednesday's double ad days. There is always a deal on cheeses (my brie addiction can get pricey at other stores).
The deli has an amazing and unique collection of pre-made and pre-seasoned items to choose from, but I tend to avoid them as I have a master chef at my house. The seafood is always fresh and reasonably priced (I love the stuffed salmon fillets) and their chicken is a great buy as well.
Being able to buy things in bulk here is a big perk. I know just where to go to pick up healthy snacks for my sons lunch and pistachios for myself. Spices are also available in bulk which saves me the hassle of paying an arm and a leg for them at any other store.
The staff is always very helpful and the store is kept clean. This is a great local business to support. I highly recommend coming here for all of your grocery needs. -

I love to go shopping here. I went here yesterday in search of halibut, I found what I needed and much more.
I don't frequent as much as I want, because it's not convenient as to the grocery store closer to my home. It's not that much further, but the traffic getting to FF (depending on the time you go) can be a pain.
Yesterday, I took my time looking at all the different ingredients and products they have... I just have to come here more often, earlier in the day! They have so many different products that you don't find in your regular grocery stores. I think it would give you inspiration to cook something new with these products.
It's a clean store, and all the departments look well staffed. The bakery area is packed with all kinds of goodies. Check it out, you'll be happy you went.
Warning: The parking are full drivers that are not paying attention, I witness this every time I go.... The parking lot on the west side is very tricky so approach with caution. -

My go to store! Although I live in San Diego, I work in Oceanside and make it a point to stop here every Tuesday or Wednesday (those are the double ad days). This place is like the indy version of Henry's, Boney's, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe's. The weekly sales have fresh and gorgeous produce at very cheap prices. I like to believe in the whole you get what you pay for, but here you pay very little and get so much more!
I love that the ads are always posted first thing Tuesday morning so I can go online and make my list before I head to the store. http://www.frazierfarm.../
One of the unique bulk items I love that I can only find at Frazier Farms is their instant refried bean flakes. I had never even heard of them (not the refried beans but the instant refried bean flakes) until my aunt introduced me to them. They are normally $3.99 (that's more than some meats that go on sale!!!) but it goes on sale sometimes for $1.99 and that's when I stock up! All you do is add water and microwave and voila! Delicious refried beans. It's a fantastic thickener for chili and stews and also adds a nice color and rich flavor.
Purple Peruvian potatoes are normally cheaper here than most places.
Lean ground turkey and ground chicken go on sale all the time for $1.47-$1.99 a pound!
Plus they are always giving samples out by the deli. Freshly cooked ones! Once I had a piece of grilled steak with a red quinoa salad! Classy samples :)
Lastly, the sushi here is freshly made and cheap! I can get a box with an 8 piece roll for $3 or $4. Sometimes in the afternoon they have $1 off or 1/2 off deals! What's not to love about the place. You can even buy unique greeting cards and plants here. Or if you don't want to shop, stop by for a meal to go or get a meal and eat it on the tables outside. Pretty little salad bar near the entrance! -

Frazier Farms markets itself as a healthy alternative to a standard grocery store. I would say that's probably pretty accurate. While they do sell organic produce, most of their produce department IS NOT organic, only a small section. They sell local grass-fed beef, wild-caught fish and raw dairy products from Organic Pastures. If you're looking for purely organic, local and non-GM foods, I would recommend Jimbo's Naturally in Carlsbad over Frazier Farms. If those things aren't as important to you and you're looking to save money, Frazier Farms is the place to go.

I come here a lot and I really like their prices for produce. They have great deals. Rotisserie chicken is good and also their entrees and sandwiches. They really do a great job in stocking fresh fruits and vegetables. They have an area for all kinds of ingredients like nuts and powders for cooking and baking that u can buy by weight.

I REALLY like FF! We've taken to doing the majority of our shopping there rather than the big-box grocery stores. Although the selection isn't as big as one of the big stores, I rather appreciate there only being one or two different brands of olives or ice cream to choose from. I appreciate their dedication to eating naturally and healthy - although I sure would like to see them work with a local beef/poultry/pork farmer so that we could eat locally grown free-range meats, but one thing at a time. =)
I love that this is family owned and we've always had wonderful customer service. The location is very convenient for us and although the parking lot drives me nuts, the quality and selection of food very much outweighs the parking. I also LOVE the bulk food section. I know that other stores have it too, but what a brilliant idea! I love being able to get JUST enough of the random spices I need for a recipe without having to take out a second on my house to buy an entire bottle of the stuff.
Great, local, grocery store!
p.s. my husband is thrilled that he can get Fat-Tire beer there for at least $2 less than anywhere else! And I love the wine selection!!! -

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this store. I don't even know where to start. It's family owned and I'm all about supporting local family owned businesses. I feel as if they welcome you with open arms and show more love than the other leading grocery chains. The staff is always so nice and helpful.
Their produce section is amazing. Everything's always fresh and CHEAP. Where else can you get seven pieces of corn for only a buck? I've gotten anything from rhubarb, to Musa Saba, to even kumquats here. They have a good size organic section too and sometimes are cheaper than the regular produce.
I mainly go here for their meat/seafood selection. They have the freshest in town. Some may say they're too expensive, but that's because their meat is all free of hormones, preservatives, steroids, nitrates, nitrites and antibiotics. They also sell fresh grass feed beef, organic chicken, and even jidori chicken. Frozen goose, buffalo, or pheasant meat are also available.
My son has multiple food allergies and pasteurized/homogenized milk is one of them, so he drinks raw milk (which can sometimes be difficult to find). I'm so glad Frazier Farms carries "Organic Pastures" raw milk AND butter. Unfortunately my son's also allergic to wheat, BUT fortunately Frazier Farms has a great gluten-free section. They have a great variety of all-purpose flours/mixes ready to go (Pamela's, Bob's Red Mill, or even Gluten-Free Pantry), and they also have individual flours for your own experimentation (amaranth, rice, millet, sorghum, and many more).
If you haven't gotten around to making a trip here, you must go a.s.a.p. -

Well, unlike the last reviewer, I am not a fan of Whole Foods. Where I come from, Whole Foods is for yuppies. Who else would want to pay ridiculously marked-up prices for stuff that you can find waaay cheaper pretty much everywhere else? Man, I could go on about that stupid place but I digress.
Back to Frazier Farms! Well, I am a fan for a myriad of reasons. One: really good, cheap produce and lots of it! Two: lots of yummy specialty drinks like strawberry Kombucha. Three: an amazing cheese selection! Four: the delicious Wallaby yogurts that come in flavors like strawberry guava, pineapple coconut, and mango. Five: the people who work in the deli/bakery/butcher place are really nice and helpful. Six: all of the snacks and things you can buy in bulk for cheap!
You won't find absolutely everything you will find in a regular grocery store. If I shop here, Trader Joe's, and Costco I have all of my favorite foods. -

Better than Sprouts.
This Henry's like market offers a less corporate grocery option. I've found the Deli and the Breads to be superior here. The fish, like Salmon and sushi grade tuna beat most places hands down. I live in Escondido, and even though Sprouts is closer, it's worth the longer drive to get Frazier Farms. From time to time they have good wine values as well. -

I love to shop here. They have a nice selection of wines as well as every kind of pill you can think of for your body.
The marinated chicken at the deli is great. -

This is like a hybrid of a farmers market & a grocery store. I love it. You can get everything from fresh baked bread to veal (which I find sometimes difficult to find in regular super markets) to Appeals Chocolate (a coating chocolate I used a lot in culinary school) that you can weigh out and buy however much you want. Their butchers are very friendly and helpful in helping you find the cut of meat you want, and will cut steaks pretty much however you want.
My mom's neighbor has an allergy to gluten and she loves shopping there because of all the gluten free products, and they're actually reasonably priced.
It's a store that really inspires me to want to go home and actually cook something myself rather than hitting up the drive-thru.Listed in: Sandy Eggo!!!

My mother is hypoglycemic, along with some other diet restricting health problems and recently discovered Frazier's. She LOVES it and dragged me there today since she knows I'm a health and low fat food junkie.
I must admit they do have a very nice organic and natural food collection. As well as fresh product. I bought some rolled oats $1/lb! I'm never buying a box of Quaker oats again! $3.00 for not even half of what I can get here. Also some tasty asparagus. The prices on fresh produce is amazing!!! Especially produce that is "in season" like asparagus and oranges right now. I did like the vast amount of healthy breads that they had. As well as the bakery-I wish that they had the nutrition information though.
My favorite part was that you can make your own peanut butter!! I will definately go back for that. I love peanut butter!! -

We're having a barbeque tomorrow and planned serving old-fashioned pulled pork. However, much to our surprise, none of the 7 fabulous butchers or specialty gorceries with fantastic meat departments we called had an 8 lb bone-in pork shoulder...or any bone-in pork shoulder, for that matter.
Finally, we called Frazier Farms: their butchers were gone for the day (at 3:30pm, really?), but they have a pre cut 5 lb bone-in pork shoulder that will work, and they put it on hold for us to pick up. Frazier Farms has saved the day! We don't have to cancel our BBQ! Yay!!
Hopefully the price and the quality will make me just as happy. Will update accordingly. -

Excellent selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Great free range and otherwise natural meats. Bulk foods (including the family favorite popcorn) and spices/teas. All of this at great prices and with friendly service.

I shop at several different places. Mostly smaller natural foods/ grocery stores. I have found the best deals at Frazier farms. I had gotten something from Henry's vitamin dept that I really liked, and paid $35 for it. I happened to be browsing through F.F's vitamin dept one day and saw the same product, same size and all..for $25! NOT on sale!! I find the sales on produce to be pretty good usually. And I like that the meats are all natural and still a good price! While I would also give 5 stars to some other places around Vista/Oceanside, I wanted to write a review for FF for those that are in that part of town.

Prices are usually lower than Henry's and all fresh local produce! The staff is extremely friendly and they carry healthy food - and many gluten-free products at reasonable prices!
Downside--- The only location by me is about 15 minutes away, so the money I save on the food is used in gas :( -

I agree with some of the posts that it is cheaper than Henry's. Unless it is an advertised special, 90% of the stuff at FF is less than Henry's, at (IMO) the same quality. Even though I live in Carlsbad now, I will stop here since it is right off the freeway.
I dig the bulk spices and nuts, especially when I only need a little bit of whatever it is I need. The produce is always low priced, and usually have a good selection. They are also the only place that has hangar beef. Put it in the oven, 25 minutes later you have an easy dinner (and your friends will think you are a gourmet cook). -

My review is for the sandwich counter/deli more than the grocery store. You can get pretty much any kind of cold sandwich from the counter and its very easy to order. They have paper "menus" where you circle all of your preferences from type of bread to the condiments. You also get to select a side and I would recommend the fruit. Usually when getting fruit at a deli its just some combo of melons but they give you grapes and strawberries and its always fresh and ripe. My go to sandwich is the chicken salad on a french roll. Its only $4.50 and worth every penny. The french roll is larger and more filling than any $5 footlong you would get anywhere else and its cheaper! If you go around noon be prepared to wait a little bit as they do get busy right at lunchtime.

I generally like FF my only complaint would be that their Meat seems to go bad on me from time to time. But I do tend to stick to my Shopping List here
- Acai (orginal)
- Anything Amy's (frozen section)
- Organic Banana's (right across the way from the lettuce mixes)
- Organic Avocado
- Tortillas
- Frozen Acai pulp (for smoothies)
- Frozen Mixed berries
- Frozen Kashi Meals
- Mrs. Meyers Geranium Cleaning products
Can you tell I'm a student on the go? Half of my food is frozen! -

I love this store. I wish I had the coin to do all my grocery shopping here. Great beer selections, veggies, cheeses, meats and natural foods. My favorite is the deli selection. You can get food you will never see in Albertsons and the like. I like to get the stuffed meats and the local salsas. Local organic is the focus so you spend more. Worth it IMHO.

I cook a lot of exotic things and I am very picky on my ingredients, and this place has it. From konbu to Munster, they have all of the specialty items Trader Joe's has without the prices and with actual authenticity. The produce is fresh and plentiful, massive cheese selection, large specialty section, and they even have whole grains, a rarity in too many grocery stores. Friendly employees are ready to help you with your questions at the meat counter. One down side is its always packed to the gills with the blue haired crowd, making navigating your way through the cramped aisles and produce section a laborious venture.

We have been going to Frazier Farms for almost 4 years now and we love everything about it. The prices are incredible, the produce is amazing, the selection of foods is endless. The wines are always great picks and they have a ton of good value wines too, not the typical stuff you'd see in a grocery store, more like a wine shop. All of the meat is great quality and they have amazing options like Jidori Chicken and we just tried the Paso Prime grass fed beef, flat iron steaks.... simply amazing, better than most restaurants... the vitamin section is awesome too, and all of the staff is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We will never stop going here, we love it.

Still loving this place. There is one of the guys at the fish/meat counter who always gives me great advice on seafood. He will tell you honestly what's good, what's probably overpriced. The other thing that is great is talking with the other customers about how they prepared what, and what was good. When you are in one of those "cooking ruts" this is a great place to go. This is one of those hometown markets that has that personal, friendly feel. I shop here every week, sometimes 2 or 3 times. I keep wondering why I'm telling people, because it keeps getting more crowded.

The best DELI ever!! Fresh bean salads, quinoa salads, marinated tofu, chicken kabobs(my daughter likes to eat the kabob while we shop). WAY better deli than any where--including Henry's Market. FF doesn't us preservatives in their fresh foods. Gotta love that--I am very sensitive the the taste of perservatives and it takes away from the natural taste of the food.
