Fratellos in Lincoln has closed down, sad to say. We had always enjoyed dinner & drinks there.

Went to what I thought was still the Timbermill Pub for lunch yesterday and was bummed to discover that the space now houses another chain Italian restaurant. Fratello's took over the space in 2004 (It has been a while since I was last in Lincoln). The white pizza ($11.99) is on the small side, maybe enough for 1.5 people. Split it with my son. But it was pretty tasy, albeit, I was pretty hungry and looking to carb load before climbing, hiking and zip lining at Loon Mountain. My wife said her French Dip Panini was very good. The two pints of Tuckerman's Pale Ale I had (a steal at $3.99 each) hit the spot. Love that beer. Sitting on the deck made what was very average food taste better.
On the down side, the interior looks and smells tired. Service, while friendly, was slooooooow. There were six parties in the whole place (I counted) and it took them 45 minutes to bring out a pizza and sandwich. And it grossed me out how dirty the servers uniforms were: nasty food splotches are especially prominent on all black uniforms.
I'd only go here again in a bind. There are too many other options in Lincoln. -

My friends and I arrived in Lincoln for a weekend getaway and had dinner here upon arrival. I had heard other people recommend this place, so we decided to give it a try. It was fairly busy since it was Friday night, but were were seated quickly and soon were being served local brews and a very good antipasto appetizer.
The atmosphere of this place is nice. It's in a converted paper mill building which is elegant, but still maintains much of its rustic charm. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly, and was very knowledgeable about the menu.
Our entrees were excellent and were huge. Nobody in my group finished theirs, and they everything made excellent lunch leftovers the next day. I had the seafood lasagna, which I was a little skeptical about at first, but was amazing once I started eating it. I highly recommend it. The lobster mac and cheese which I stole a few bites of from a friend was excellent as well.
I will definitely make this a stop on a future trip to Lincoln. -

After arriving at our hotel after a 3+ hour drive to Lincoln, my boyfriend and I were looking for a restaurant. We chose Fratello's because we both liked Italian food and it seemed like a nice, romantic place. The romantic ambiance was good, the Italian...not so much.
For an appetizer, we ordered a sampling of calamari, mozzarella sticks, and bruschetta. I had definitely had better calamari and mozzarella, but the bruschetta was alright. Besides, it was only the appetizer; it was designed to whet your appetite for the main course. Obviously, the entrees had to be better than the appetizer. Right?
Wrong. My boyfriend got the ravioli with pesto sauce and I got a dish called the Northender (penne pasta mixed with breaded chicken, sweet Italian sausage, and a meatball). The ravioli, while yummy and cheese-filled was drowned in sauce; while I enjoyed my pasta and, to some extent, the chicken, but the sausage and meatball were tasteless. They did not contain that spice that I expect from Italian food. Our dessert, a lemon torte cake, tasted good, but was nothing dynamite.
Overall, the entire restaurant seemed overpriced for the quality of food offered. My advice is, if you go here order a dish with primarily pasta, no meat. It will most likely cost less and you'll get more taste for your money. -

About a week's worth of sodium in the most unappetizing pasta dish I've seen in a very, very long time. Don't get me wrong, I am nowhere near being a health nut (I ordered alfredo sauce), but even I couldn't take the immediate sensation of all my arteries simultaneously clogging. There's a much better Fratello's in Manchester...something must have gotten lost in translation.
Pretty building. Go to Vita Cafe across the street instead so you can look at it. -

I thought the food was great; however, everything seemed to be served on pasta (which was cooked perfectly al dente); however if you are a low carb eater, this may not be the place for you. Very nice atmosphere.

I like that it's connected to the Inn Season Resort at South Mountain. The food and service was ok, but not that great. We had a range from kids mac and cheese to veal parms and club sandwiches. The atmosphere is nice in the summer at least. I am curious about the winter season.

We happened across this restaurant while searching for another one, while not our originally intended destination it was a very pleasant surprise. I had the Lasagna and my wife had the Chicken Saltimbocca, my food was great and my described her's as the best satimbocca she has ever had.

I had been to Fratello's in Concord a while back, but since my hotel was near the Lincoln location, we hit it up for lunch the other day. I was so pleased to discover that they offered a sort of mix-and-match pasta menu, and especially that it featured a fra diavlo sauce. I love spicy sauces, but they aren't offered at a lot of places, so I decided to try that atop some cheese ravioli. Delish! Service was good, there were tons of vegetarian options, and there's a great patio for outdoor dining in the warm season.

Had dinner here on Sunday night (10/10/10) and it was disappointing - food wise. We order the arancini appetizer. Arancini is a fried rice balls coated with breadcrumbs filled with ragù (meat sauce), tomato sauce, mozzarella, and/or peas. The three we got tasted like paste and were missing the filling. My husband ordered the Margarita pizza which was undercooked with way to much cheese and garlic and I had the prime rib special, which was okay but the "instant" tasting mash potatoes and something that was reported to be squash was not.
The only good think about this place is the staff (very pleasant and professional) and the atmosphere (rustic). -

My husband & I stumbled upon this place while following the directions to a different restaurant. How fortuitous for us. It was too late for lunch and too early for dinner yet we were seated with a smile. Our server promptly came over to take our drink order and tell us the specials. ... skip to the food ... This was the BEST chicken saltimboca I have ever had. The prosciutto was nicely charred on the edges and yummy throughout. The chicken was perfectly cooked. It was not drowned in sauce. There was just enough sage to give it a kick. The next time we are in the White Mts we will definitely be visiting Fratellos again.

Nice atomsphere not very good food. The pasta is overcooked and the sauces are bland. I don't think they know what good is Italian food is like ... bursting with fresh flavor. The food here just isn't up to the facility.
