I am a huge fan of Frank's Custom Tailoring. I bought my first suit over 10 years ago. They are as great today as they were then. Quality clothing at excellent prices with expert tailoring at no extra charge.

I'm only in town for a few days, and the buttons on my pea coat started coming off. Luckily Frank's fixed it up in less than five minutes, and had me out the door in no time. Friendly staff, quick service, and was only $5! Thanks again guys, if I lived here this would make me a regular.

Cannot recommend this place enough - it's absolutely amazing! I went in at first with an old suit that I wanted tailored and ended up walking out with an amazing 'Bond in Spectre' looking Super 150s Italian Wool suit in blue sharkshin for a little over $400. Loved it so much when I picked it up that I ended up getting a black suit as well and they hooked me up with a discount so I got it for only $280. All the suits you buy come with free alterations and they really know how to make a suit fit like a glove. Will be my go-to tailor for a very long time.

Was at Franks last week and purchased a new suit as well as a sportcoat. Can't recommend theses guys enough. I'm a hard to fit guy, but they did another awesome job tailoring the new clothes. They fit me perfectly. And they tailored everything at no charge. Their prices are very reasonable. Approx $400 for an Italian super 150 full canvassed  suit, and $175 for a super 140 wool sportcoat.  They are the best!!

    My go-to for tailoring needs.

This is a family-run business. I have come here for pants repair (my buffet adventures caught up to me whilst I was squatting), as well shirt and suit alterations.

They do an excellent job in a timely matter. They were also honest and informative in describing what my options were and how the clothing would turn out.

Economically, they are affordable (much more so than Bostonian tailoring), and also accept credit cards.

I have not purchased a suit from them, but I believe they are in the $300-400 range and come with free alterations. This is a good deal, because almost any suit one purchases at a bigger store will need some tailoring done.

One thing I learned about fashion--you need to wear the outfit, not let the outfit wear you. The key to having outfits fit you is to get it tailored.  I, being curvy/rotund in certain places, have a difficult time finding clothing that fits well, so tailoring is a great investment to look into. When you have well-fitting clothes, you feel so much better, you look better, and you exude more confidence. You feel like a rock star.

I'm at the point of grad school where we are going on job interviews and I needed to get a suit. I lucked out and found some pieces I liked at the mall for a great discount (since it was after Thanksgiving).  The suit jacket, however, had sleeves that were too long for my *ehem* petite frame.

I researched online for same-day alterations around Boston and saw some places in the Downtown area. I called Frank's Custom Tailoring early to inquire whether they will be able to do a same-day alteration on the suit jacket. They mentioned they weren't too busy that morning and I was glad to find out that they were able to help me in this time-sensitive challenge (I have an interview tomorrow and I bought this suit yesterday).  We were able to discuss possible obstacles with the construction/deconstruction of the jacket, projected finish time, and estimated cost; they gave me the green light to bring it in.

Located on the 2nd floor of the building across from Park Street Station, Frank's Custom Tailoring has a very convenient location. I walked in and the place was also covered wall-to-wall with many men's suits for sale (I just wish they also carried women's suits!). This business have been around, you can tell, for a hella long time. I dropped off my jacket and just walked around downtown, anticipating the call about the finished alteration.

They were able to finish the job much earlier than projected, which gave me a few extra hours to just relax and stop thinking about this suit. I received all sorts of good advice as well with future suit-shopping.  The price was very reasonable for a same-day/rush job. They wished me good luck on my interview.  I hope I get the job so I can bring more suits and garments for alterations at Frank's.

I decided after starting graduate school that it was time for me to get a suit, mostly for things like conferences, but also since many of my friends are getting married and I didn't have a suit to wear. I did a ton of research online and decided I liked a more form fitting suit since I'm a tall skinny guy. Unfortunately, as I found out from looking, they just don't make suits for people like me. Even the slim fit suits look boxy and huge on me. After looking at department stores and the outlets I stumbled upon Frank's through yelp. I figured if I couldn't find a suit that would fit right, I might as well go to a tailor so they could tell me what they could and couldn't adjust in a suit to fit me, and I could avoid the hassle of finding a tailor afterwards. Frank's had great reviews so I stopped by.

The staff there were very friendly and professional. They helped me pick a couple of Italian made suits that needed very little tailoring off the rack. I couldn't justify getting more than 1 suit given how often I'd end up wearing it realistically, but I was very tempted.

The price was quite reasonable. Having tried on marked down designer suits at outlet stores, I can say the fabric of my suit is on par with a designer suit, but I paid about half the price of one (and Frank's includes tailoring into their suit prices, so what you see on the tag is what you'll end up paying after everything is all said and done). Basically I got a designer quality suit for the price of a Macy's suit, and had the peace of mind to have a tailor tell me if the suit would end up fitting me instead of just a salesperson.

All in all, I had a great experience at Frank's and I hope to be back soon.

We interacted with Bill and it was a friendly, pleasant experience. Altered a men's suit here for a reasonable price, less than $100. The results were very good.

i got a great suit for a great price. I told them the style of suit i was looking for and had 10 different ones picked out that i should try and some that I wouldn't normally have looked at. I ended up buying one that I normally wouldn't have picked out and they had everything measured and me out the door 20 mins later. It was a summer clearance sale so I got an even better price than I was expecting. I'll definitely be back for more down the line.

This is a good place to buy a suit, especially if you're a novice or just starting out. I originally brought 2 suits (bought elsewhere) to be tailored. They showed me that one of the suits was just too small in size, and that they wouldn't be able to do much with it. I could see that they were right, so I tried on one of their own suits they sell in the shop. It fit perfect, cost about $350 (including the tailoring, bargain). The suits they sell aren't brand name, but they are made in Italy, and feeling the quality of the fabric, look of the suit, etc. I couldn't tell the difference between these and the suits I buy from Nordstrom.

The only hiccup in my experience was that when I came back to pick up my tailored suits, it appeared that the son who took my original measurements forgot to pin the collar, creating a "bubble" in the back of the suit. But to their credit, they realized it as soon as a I tried it on, and told me they would have it fixed in a couple days. I appreciate the honesty, even though it cost me another long drive back and forth. But they really want you to leave looking perfect so I appreciate it.

Overall I would definitely come back here to buy another suit or get one tailored. Their prices are excellent (about $80 to tailor full suit, or free if you buy suit from them).

I was in the market for a new a suit and some tailoring work on my old suits. I was tired of buying suits that could not hold up and did not fit well. Tempted by the clearance sale, I figured I had nothing to lose and walked in, to be completely taken a back.

The suits are of high quality and very reasonably priced, add in free tailoring and you have a solid deal. The quality of tailoring is outstanding. I had a few others suits that they fixed up for me and they fit phenomenally now.

Bill and Frank are quality guys, they stand by their work, do not push you to buy and tell it like it is.

My cousin gave me one of his Margiela suits but it was a little big on me. The jacket was a 42R and I'm a 38R. Frank was able to tighten up the shoulders and chest, taper the sleeves and shorten up the jacket slightly. I also had the pants waist go from a 36 to 33/34ish and now the pants are very snug without a belt. The suit fits extremely well now and I will no doubt get all of my future tailoring done here.

Bill and Frank are great gentlemen. I've been in their shop about a half dozen times to have alterations done to suits and sport coats. I always leave satisfied and the prices are beyond fair. Next time I'm in the market for a new suit I'm going to Frank's first!

Bill and Frank are good solid guys.  They don't push you but they won't let you walk out feeling mediocre either.  Good quality customer service and easy to work with. I bought a suit for my wedding and my grooms men got their suits there as well.  Good quality work all around.

I needed to get a suit tailored for my wedding and was a little apprehensive having never had a suite tailored before. I found Frank's via the many positive yelp reviews and I was certainly not disappointed. The shop is tucked upstairs on a building on Winter Street that I had probably passed hundreds of times but never noticed before. Staff were very personable and I was probably in and out with measurements in no more than ten minutes. Alterations were done in roughly a week and the suite fit wonderfully. Asking some friends who have had tailoring done before I feel like I got a more than fair price. Also, they sell suits as well for deep discounted prices. Will definitely stop by the next time I am in need of one. So overall, friendly staff, good prices, and quick service.
