Located on FM 2351 in Friendswood, this park is small and has few amenities. If you are walking or running along the outside edge of the path, you will cover approximately one mile. There are many areas of the path that are slightly uneven. The asphalt is starting to show wear and tear. There are not obvious pot holes along the running area but it is slightly uneven. Pay attention to where you are stepping so you don't end up with a sprained ankle. There are some parts of the path where you will be walking on the road.
If you are not walking or running, there is a playground area and a multi-purpose field. There are also pavilions that can be used. I would assume they can be reserved but I do not know that for a fact. It is dog friendly but is not considered a dog park. All pets should be kept on leashes.
Bottom line: A decent urban park located in Friendswood. Decent running trails but are starting to show their age. Could use an upgrade. Upgrades could result in more stars. Until then, I'll give them three stars.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jul 24, 2015
This is a pretty decent park: I like the track when I need to walk or jog. The path isn't smooth so when I was running it did feel kinda painful on my feet. It was quite uneven.
The biggest highlight is the herb garden; I just love the scent that the garden gives off..its so refreshing. The play area for adults are just two swings near the children's playground.
Sitting areas are all throughout the forest which is nice for relaxation.
The only thing I had a problem with is the racial profiling I received from an Asian family; it was beyond disrespectful and I wasn't doing anything wrong at all. I was just walking to the swings and these people suspected that I was going to steal their children. Now, the Caucasians here didn't give me a problem; they were actually pretty friendly.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Oct 1, 2017
What makes this park great is that it is still largely wooded, has a decent walking/jogging area, pavilions, a playground, tennis courts, and a couple of fields. A little bit for everyone but not a huge, busy location. For the walkers or joggers, the distance around the perimeter of the park seems to be a little more than a mile on asphalt (mostly shaded). There also is a trail on the back side of the park that can be done as a loop for the slightly more adventurous. Nothing hard about this trail through the wooded section but it is not paved. Part of it goes down by the creek but most of it is thru the stand of trees. Maybe another mile round trip.

We got here at 8:30 , not even 30 minutes later we get basically kicked out by one of the late shift workers . The park publicly states on the doors and online that it closes @10, and they started closing the gates and turning the lights off @8:40 , it's ridiculous if your workers don't want to stay late maybe get another job . Thx

I come here all the time. This park is huge and has something for everyone.
1) paved walking, one huge lap is one mile.
2) tennis court
3) nature trails in the forest
4) nature garden
5) pavilions that you can rent
6) many playgrounds
7) clean restrooms
8) many grills and picnic tables
9) access to the creek
10) soccer/baseball/football field
I've never see shady people here and it feels safe. Sometimes I see a Friendswood cop patrolling the grounds In a car.
The restrooms are clean, and there are always plenty of families enjoying the grounds and the nature trail.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - David T.Friendswood, TX93202446Dec 13, 2011
This is Friendswood's biggest park. Running trails; bike riding; many, many picnicking sites and pavilions; tennis courts; baseball. Take the hiking trails down along Clear Creek, (but douse yourself with mosquito repellant first.)
Many nice plantings and flowerbeds, but they're a little neglected - the herb garden hasn't had much in it for a long time.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Susann G.Friendswood, TX30516Aug 19, 2010First to Review
I love this park! It has something for everyone. There is a wonderful running trail, several play areas for the kids and tennis courts. The outdoor pavilions are perfect for family get togethers.
There is always activity in this park! Whether you're coming to run, ride your bike on the trails near the creek or to drop your child off for practice, this is a great park that caters to everyone's needs.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Galina P.Houston, TX1629272Feb 9, 2016
Came here looking for some new playgrounds and there are several in the park, one larger in the middle of the driveway loop and at least three smaller ones that I've spotted so far. Nice clean bathrooms, but the play and fitness structures need a bit more attention, hence 4 out of 5 starts.

Great suburban park. Clear signage and sufficient parking for a Saturday morning. Good trails and good equipment well suited for hot Texas weather. The dogs loved it. Busy w singletons and mamas at boot camp and families getting ready for reunions and picnics.
