Many a chef has attempted to bring haute cuisine to the unwashed masses. Most fail, due to their own aristocratic, elitist attitudes or because they never fully understand that most sane people have very little interest in a fifty-dollar dish that can be eaten in less than two minutes. Of the hundreds who have attempted bringing good dining to the barbarians, only a handful of trained, seasoned, and peer-respected chefs have actually been able to do it. One such person is Chef Alfredo.
In 1979, the enigmatic chef was "recruited" by Foxy's as their head chef. He set about creating a menu that would give epicurean wonders for a blue-collar budget. Now here's the surprise: since then he has succeeded.
Don't let the outside A-frame fool you into thinking that Foxy's is going to offer the same kind of dishes slopped out at places like Chili's TGIFridays, etc. Instead, expect a set menu of omelets, sandwiches (real ones, not just burgers), seafood dishes, appetizers (almost a meal unto themselves), along with a variety of Vegetarian, Southwest and Mexican-style dishes that's sure to please, no matter what is selected.
On the weekends, the place is packed, inside and out, usually with a wait time. And their parking lot -forget it, plan on parking on the street (usually a block away, and don't even think about parking in the mini-mall parking lot -you *will* be towed).
But even with these minor aggravations, once you have been seated by the amazingly friendly staff, what you will get is a meal and service that more than makes up for the previously mentioned annoyances.
In conclusion, Foxy's is a place that is perfect for the casual diner, and even for someone looking for something a little more formal, but on a strict budget. They offer excellent food and very reasonable prices. Foxy's is highly recommended.
Took a friend here last night for his birthday, on a Friday night I was worried there would be a wait but we (party of 6) got seated right away.
The strawberry milkshake was... extremely "meh." I GUESS it was strawberry flavored...i couldn't really tell. It was really bland and unsurprising.
In-n-Out still holds #1 for Strawberry shakes.
The bday boy ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast. Oh my. Oh OH my. He devoured it. It looked incredibly delicious. Ooey gooey with cinnamon and sugar and frosting, and he topped it with syrup (cuz if you're going to go out, you gotta go out BIG)
The home fries were also great, crispy little squares of potatoe-y goodness. Not too much flavor to them, but the texture was good.
The boyfriend ordered the Chicken Benedict, and didn't really enjoy it. He said the hollandaise tasted weird (bad-weird.) He didnt seem thrilled, or even satisfied. Fail.
I ordered the California Burrito, added chicken to it. It was a HUGE plate! For about $8, it was a big ol burrito with rice and plenty avocado slices on top with yummy melted cheese. Good price for the amount of food you get. It came with a weird side salad they throw on the side of the plate, but dont offer you any dressing... which is.. weird.
2 of our friends just ordered drinks, and our last friend ordered the French Dip (roast beef sammy with au jus dip) He seemed really disappointed. He said the meat was pretty much cheap deli meat. This always makes me angry. I haaate when places offer crappy french dips. Dont put it on the menu if you're going to be using Ralphs brand 10% real meat deli slices. Blech.
Service was ok.. it was really really slow but since there was 6 of us, it helped pass the time. They seemed to be really on top of refilling our drinks, which was a plus.
It's kinda far from where we live but if we were ever hungry and in the area, we'd give it another shot.
This place has quickly become one of my fiance's and I's favorite places.
Service has always been quick, polite and friendly. Menu here has a Spanish influence with specialty dishes like Barboccoa....really?! In a diner?! I'll take that. Breakfast portions are large and tasty. Dinner here is pretty good as well. Best part about this place is the decor and building design, it's almost like you are eating at the Log Jammer ride at Disney Land!
Overall, great value, food and service. Sundays can be quite crowded in the mornings, but worth the wait. Oh, Pumpkin Pie slices are only 99 cents!!!
No wonder Foxy's has survived the booms of chains and fads sweeping the restaurant business for decades. It's a classic for LA, but I had my first chance to visit last week for lunch. Beautifully, quaint inside, with wood work that can't be replicated by today's trendy restauranteers, yet we decided to sit on the patio. After all, where else in the US can you sit on the patio at the end of November and have to ask to lower the shade? I had a great lunch with even better company... the waitress did not seem to mind our pom pom ball fights and butter aided catapults. And, I had a wonderful salmon wrap, with salad and fruit for my sides. We had terrific service, the other patrons were friendly, and when I went to pay the bill, the manager serenaded me. Awww! Plus, there was a Donate Life Magnet on the old fashioned brass cash register... VERY INSPIRATIONAL! Foxys was a hit for me!
If yard gnomes came to life and needed a place for their meetings, this would be the place. It is so cute inside, a wood paneled A frame with 2 rustic fireplaces and orange pattern carpet. The food... well ... it was .... there was a giant hair in my friend's chicken melt!
Just dropped in for a quick coffee and paper, but something about this quaint restaurant told me to try the food. Had a run scheduled so I opted for a simple scrambled eggs and toast. If you want to know how good good a chef really is order eggs. This chef was good. The eggs were light and fluffy, seasoned well and just a hint of butter. I asked for salsa on the side. My initial assumption was that it would be bland and watery. Instead it was filled with flavor and texture, garlic, onion, cilantro, oregano, and light on heat.
The staff is friendly, fun without hovering. Lots of obvious regulars in the booths. Many greeted at the door by name. Have to come back with friends when I have more time.
Overpriced, all right food. Yeah, there's a toaster at the table. Big deal, get over it. You probably have one at home, right? Actually we don't and if the toaster came with our meal then I'd rate it 5 stars because that would be worth my money.
Huevos rancheros, pretty good. Weak salsa. El Torito thing my bf got.. he liked it- his words "okay". I only tried the outside which was crispy/tasty. Almost 30 bucks with tip for brunch.. eh. Not my happiest moment. Too much food for too much $.
PS. I'm from NJ (diner country). THIS IS NOT A DINER!!! Diners are cheap! Where is the stainless steel? Diners are open all hours of the night. You go to diners at 3 am to get hash browns. Not a diner.
I LOVE BREAKFAST HERE. I got a good ole french toast with strawberries and bananas. My friends all got sandwiches and they all tasted pretty good. this place gets packed really fast on weekends, but they work fast to give us seats. I would definitely recommend breakfast and brunch here. And right across the street is Americana so u can go shopping after :)
This is great 3 star diner... anyone who gives this 4 or 5 stars is just broke.
Great chili and barbacoa.
Really nice, and quiet waitresses.
I am not a fan of diners at all!
With that said, Foxy's is a definite exception. This place is cozy with very friendly service. Once you're inside, you'd expect it to be snowing outside, because of the winter-cabin-like decor inside (which I like because it makes me miss Big Bear). The food was great, prices are great, and overall a good experience.
I can't believe this place sells its Carne Asada plate for $5.95!!!! Its packed full of flavorful meat and its freaking delicious. I've also tried the Crab Cakes Benedict and Salmon Benedict both very good. My husband tried the Carne Asada Chilaquiles and he liked them very much. This place always hits the spot!
The food here is very good. I like my food hot, and sure it was.
Good service, worth waiting.
Excellent food and a great price too!
I got a handicap parking pass. We got VIP parking right in front.
They have a large menu. Large menu's sometimes makes it hard for some people to make up their damn mind. It took me about 10-15 minutes. It took bubba about half an hour. Our poor waitress came up to us four times trying to take our order. By the time we ordered we had a new waitress.
There are toasters set up in each booth with whipped butter.
I like bread and butter. Yeah, butter my buns b!tches.... work up a lather and put it on me.
OK - soooo I couldn't make up my mind. I decided to be safe so I ordered a burger. So did he.
The chef was straight tripping. He/She put a ton of lettuce, ton of onions, ton of pickles, and one small ass onion. By the end of our meal we had a mountain of spare veggies. I don't know why we're both wasting our time at our 9-5's. We are food architects.
Anyway - the cute baby at the table across from us held our attention because the baby was sooo damn cute.
Two burgers, two salads, side of fries, and a side of fruit was about $16. Not bad.
I'd come back here. The place is really cute & they serve breakfast all day.
If youre in Glendale and need some good breakfast, Foxys is the place. The owner is always there to say good morning, extremely fast and efficient serivce with great buss boy and hosts. I would recommend everything on the menu :) The food is fresh and tasty with the building shaped like a log cabin which always feels a bit rustic on a sunday morning.
I think I want it for breakfast tomorrow with a HUGE glass of OJ and a cup of coffee!
Diners seem to be a dying commodity in Los Angeles, land of the 'serial restauranteur'.
I mean really where can one go for basic bill of fare pancakes, omelets, has browns and a gold ole' 'Blue Plate Special' with out the 'scene or lines' of The Pantry, isn't the styro diner food of Denny's or IHOP and doesn't taste like it was cooked at the galley at Good Samaritan Hospital?
Foxy's across the street from the Glendale Galleria and the Americana at Brand in Glendale is where.
With LA stalwarts like Ships and Ben Franks a memory and practically Los Angeles lore, I mean you just don't see a place like this any more in look, feel and, most importantly taste.
CAVEAT: If you have a 'developed palette' this is probably NOT a place for you. If you get the hankering for WAY too much omelet, hash browns, pancakes, delish burgers and fries? Well Foxy's is your kind'a place.
I will also warn you that this place, regardless of what they say on the menu, Foxy's is a HIGH CALORIE JOINT!
Hello? DINER!
Ok so on to the bill of fare...
I have had a sampling of bits and pieces of the menu, and will update as I try new things, but so far, the star on the breakfast menu is the Chile Relleno Omelet. I mean seriously it took me 5 breakfast visits before I could resist and try something else (the fajitas omelet) and, uhm, yeah it was equally good.
The Chile Relleno Omelet is what you would imagine:
A 2 cheese omelet , with the biggest, home/Foxys-made chile relleno you have ever seen STUFFED inside, SMOTHERED in ranchero sauce (which is not only delicious but a miraculous hang over remedy), served with a ridiculous amount of FRESH cut hash browns (or home fries, or french fries...go for the has browns...they rock) and toast.
NOTE: You should ask for the BREAD you want untoasted, not the toast...
Why? Because in each booth, and at the counter, you get you own toaster to toast your bread at will!
I know, but really its true. I have always thought it was a jip that you get your toast and by the time you are ready to eat it it is cold and the butter has turned in to something that they probably scrape out of your arteries during an angioplasty. At Foxy's I can ask for my bread and (real butter) and toast to my taste and heart's delight.
The sandwiches, burgers and salads are, again, what you would expect from a diner, but there is a TON of food and its so FRESH that it could give Eat Well a run for their money (although Eat Well still has GREAT fries and shakes).
The atmosphere is that of a super friendly family diner, with an early 50's, A-Frame build and feel. The kind you used to see all over Southern California, however, they actually took the time to hire a CHEF...who sets the tone for what the menu is about....he deserves a medal.
Foxy's opened in 1964 and has been an Icon in Glendale ever since.
The bottom line woith Foxy's is that they make good food at great prices, with generous portions and absolutely every waitress and bus boy has a smile on their face (it's kind'a Stepford eerie almost).
TIP: If you go for breakfast on the weekend...go EARLY...this place is VERY popular....the wait is never VERY long though and sometimes, sitting on the benches outside with you group talking and what not is fun, but if Foxy's is part of your "on the way to" somewhere plan, get there by 8'ish (I bike in from Silverlake as a justification to clean my plate).
What a great way to start the day!
Order a Baja Omelette and cappuchino and you're set! The Baja Omelette consists of shrimp, eggs, salmon, and vegetables. It has tons of shrimp and salmon plus it taste great. The cappuchino is very affordable ($1.25 more than the coffee) and you get an awesome cup of joe with frothing steaming milk on top. I posted a picture on it.
We went on a sunday morning right before the crowd comes in. We got such great service! They came to our table probably a dozen times asking us if we wanted more coffee. They didn't even mind that there was 30 people waiting for our table as we slowly ate our delicious meal.
Definitely a great place for breakfast, coffee, and I'm assuming lunch or dinner which I'll try later.
My fiancee and I were not in the mood to cook last night, so we yelped a few places to grab food in our new neck of the woods! Foxy's totally hit the spot.
The decor is awesome. Foxy's has an old school diner feel with a twist of Sound of Music (in the snow). The service is great. The food is delish. And they have the most amazing looking cinnamon buns next to Cinnabon (oooo Cinnabon).
I had the Power Omelette and my fiancee had the Open Faced Turkey Sandwich. The Power Omelette wasn't greasy and the chicken was perfectly cooked/seasoned. The sandwich was equally as yummy and the mashed taters??? The real deal! NICE.
The options are endless and they're accommodating to us dieters.
I can't wait to go back for a Sunday breakfast!
The size of the menu is HUGE! They serve practically everything there (except fresh Panda meat)! The bread rolls were yummy and fill you up. I had one of the omelletes (out of like fifty different ones) and knocked out on the car ride back.
Definitely a great place to grab breakfast/brunch if you're in the area.
Cute place! looks like a log cabin inside - sort of - triangular ceilings, wood panels and has an outside patio.
The food was good. I had an avocado sour cream omelet and sourdough toast which I toasted myself at the table. FUN! (each table has it's own toaster.) It was a lot of sour cream inside so maybe on the side next time.
The service was quick and nice. I barely had time to get halfway through my cup before the waiter came back for refills. I would suggest sitting outside in that case cause I was getting hot sitting inside with the non stop hot coffee.
*They had cinnamon apple jelly! I never see that in the little Knotts jelly packages! yum
This place has practically anything you can want and think of...from Pastas, Sandwiches, Mexican Food, Breakfast, Wraps, Salads...you name it and they pretty much got it...oh yeah and CHEAP.
I took my grandma here and she read over the menu like 6 times and she couldn't decide what she wanted...so I started throwing ideas. She concluded that she was going to get the french dip sandwich ...it came with fruit, chips or french fries, plus either a side salad or a bowl of soups. She really liked it!
I ordered their barbacoa entree. Their Barbacoa is soo good...very flavorful.
I love the fresh bread they give you.
It's one of those places that you can go 100 times just to try something new on their menu.
In fact, a few days later we came here as a family and there was not one complaint!
Oh No! Am I a bad Glendalian for not previously yelping about this place! Shame on me!
Foxy's is great, fast friendly service, efficient bussers and hosts. I am a patron of the breakfast menu - and have never ever been disappointed - even when I am cast off to a toasterless table!
I am a fan of the California Eggs Benedict (I add Canadian Bacon) the hollandaise is good with a hint of lemon. The omelettes are LOADED, the hashbrowns have a divine crispy crust.
The selection is amazing. It has you going back in forth with your inner voice deciding what you want to eat. Everything sounds so delicious you want one of everything. I got an omelette & biscuit. The biscuit was huge. They gave me 2 biscuits I had to give one to a friend to take home because I couldn't finish it. Can't wait to try this place again. Great breakfast/brunch place.
Perfect place for a Saturday morning breakfast or brunch after a crazy Friday night. I love this place. The atmosphere is great, the location is great, and the staff is nice
A decent little greasy spoon in Glendale- fast service, fair prices, and you get to make your own toast to your liking.
Gotta admit - ate here only because I couldn't believe it was still standing and curiosity got the best of me! (as good a reason as any!) Used to eat here as a kid and it looks almost the same, just had a more traditional "American coffee shop" menu "back in the day".
Was really surprised to find it seems to succeeded in making an effort to upgrade the menu and offer a wide selection of entrees for every taste, from traditional sandwiches, to fish, steaks, poultry, pork, and a nice selection of dishes with a southwestern flare.
Since this was my first visit back in a while - have only been able to try breakfast so far in this "new" era. They have a nice choice of omelette's, eggs many styles with or without different meats, pancakes and french toast, and lots of sides.
The Omelets and fillings were fresh tasting, pancakes just right texture, and served with a nice selection of fruit and potatoes or breads to choose from. Service was also polite and very fast. Its kinda a kick cooking your own toast to "order" at the table too.
Great to see Foxys changing with the times, and with flare. I don't think I'd go for dinner - I'll leave that for my favorite supper joints - but wouldn't hesitate to continue to return for breakfast or lunch and eat my way thru the selections.... kudos for keeping up with the times! And if you want a quick, decent, and fairly priced meal - a good choice.
This place is sooo cute! It looks like a cabin and you definitely feel cozy in it.
I'm not a huge fan of eating breakfast but this is THE place for breakfast food! IHOP got nothing on foxy's!
Great menu! Vast selection on omelettes!
You can even toast your own bread at the table =)
And the food was delivered right away. Great for eat-and-run people.
Nice place for breakfast. I still prefer the Original Pantry when it comes to a hearty breakfast. Foxy's food was standard coffee shop fair with some interesting breakfast choices that I did not have this AM. Food was good but not great. Service was excellent and the place felt homey. I don't think I'd make the drive out again to go here but it's a good choice if you're in the area.
My husband and I used to live in downtown L.A. (moved to Hermosa Beach), so we weren't very far from Foxy's. We went almost every Sunday for brunch, and once he ordered the cinnamon roll french toast, he never looked back.
He's obsessed with it, and we never get to go anymore...time for a trek up to Glendale for the day soon!!
For me, the Alamo rocks!! Totally amazing!! Turkey burger's really fine, too. I love avocado, and they put it on so many of their dishes!!
I love Foxy's chilaquiles! Uh, that sounds, uh, a little weird, but it's true!
I love Foxy's, one because I love the name, and two, the food is good! I have been here twice now and both times it was excellent. The staff is so nice and attentive. Your beverage will never be empty that's for sure!
If you like Mexican breakfasts, I recommend trying the chilaquiles. . .they won't disappoint! Our server said it was her favorite item, and I can see why. They come with either carne asada, chicken, or just cheese. They make their own hot sauce which is really tasty and like no other hot sauce I have tasted before. You get a side of corn or flour tortillas, but I don't recommend popping them into the toaster to warm them up!
Last Saturday our family lunch in Monterey Park was canceled because the 5 freeway ground to a halt. I escaped the traffic by exiting on Colorado Blvd. but I was starving, what to do? I don't know Glendale but I do know Yelp Mobile, and a few minutes later I found myself at Foxy's Restaurant. It's hard to miss; after all, how many restaurants that aren't in Disneyland look like alpine ski lodges?
The place was packed, but luckily I was able to find a seat at the counter without having to wait. The host was a character, occasionally calling out celebrities: "Jennifer Lopez, party of two," "Brad Pitt, your table is ready," etc. He might have been singing at one point, though that may have been the PA. If you have to wait, at least you'll be entertained. The toasters at every table are a nice touch, even if they are the Michael Graves ones you see at Target.
The menu was huge but I quickly decided on the Huevos Gringo, a massive pile of chorizo, eggs, beans, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and chips. Somehow the kitchen managed to fit a side of home fries on the plate, too. I suffered minor burns from the scorching hot corn tortillas, but they were a useful way to shovel food after the chips were gone. If it sounds messy, it was. It was also really good, and only $9. Add a small OJ and I was stuffed for around $12 plus tip.
Foxy's is the kind of place you worry might suffer when huge shopping centers like the Americana at Brand open up across the street. But as long as there are people hungry for honest, stick-to-your-ribs grub (and I mean "grub" in the best sense of the word), Foxy's will be just fine.
Last weekend, Joe D. and I were craving breakfast and we came here on a Sunday. First off, I love the retro A-frame chalet building. The inside was so cozy!
It was really hard narrowing down what we wanted because their menu is huge - it was overflowing with delicious sounding breakfasts. I was torn between the Baja omelet and the crab benedict until my eyes landed on barbacoa and eggs. Barbacoa and eggs!! I don't really eat a lot of meat but I had to order it. The barbacoa did not let me down - it reminded me of my old coworker's Mexican dad's barbacoa that he used to make at home. She'd bring it to me at work and say, "He cooks that shit ALL weekend! That's what makes it so good"
The plate came with home made hot sauce, onions and cilantro, rice and beans, and tortillas. The eggs were perfect - well cooked but still fluffy and not at all burnt. By the time I was finished I was ready for a nap, but I just wanted to keep on eating. Even still, I took half of it home.
Joe's crabcake benedict was awesome, too. I may get it next time. I can't wait to try more omelets and maybe one of their desserts!
Their coffee was tasty - not too weak - and people were super friendly. We will definitely return. Man, I'm hungry now!
This is a great place. First of all, the inside and outside are great. It's this quaint A-frame diner, with some places to sit at the counter and lots of tables on either side. It's very ski-cabin meets diner.
The french toast was perfect. I ordered the cinnamon roll french toast first (which was sickly sweet) and the waitress just exchanged it for the normal kind. Clean, inexpensive, perfect.
Oh, Foxy's, it's about damn time I Yelped about you. When I worked at the Americana's Barnes and Noble, this place was an absolute saving grace. Not only were the servers and maitre d' super nice and welcoming, but because the B&N staffers were regular customers, they were well aware of our half-hour to hour lunch constraints, we were almost always seated first or our food was always ready the moment we arrived for a pick-up.
It's no surprise that on weekend afternoons, especially Sundays, this place is packed, not to mention weekday lunch hours. The people who work here are quick on their feet, while still maintaining high quality customer service one comes to expect from a long standing restaurant. They're really far from snotty.
The food is simply delicious and simple is definitely key in the dishes. There's nothing super fancy about this place. The quality of the food is fantastic, but the flavors aren't complicated at all.
I almost always get a sandwich and some fries here, reminiscent of my rushed lunch hours at the Noble House of Barnes. My favorite is still their Chicken Sandwich, which is chicken breast, served on an open faced wheat bun with optional swiss cheese and avocado ($9.49; $8.45 with out green stuff & cheese). It's pretty damn difficult to get chicken breast to be perfectly moist, but with Foxy's you'll get it 90% of the time. Admittedly, I've had some dry chicken breast here, but I still love this sandwich. It's simple, delicious and come with a damn great contender (if not, winner) for "Best Fries in Glendale". You can get chips or fruit, but those FRIES! They're so crisp and hot and mouth-watering.
Foxy's has some pretty amazing soups too, which also can come with the sandwich (you can get salads, but I'm not that health conscious). Their soup vary day to day, but they're all good and freshly made.
Their menu also has a substantial South-West flavor, with my favorite being their Chicken Enchilada's ($8.45), which includes, rice, beans, guacamole and salsa. It's a pretty heavy meal, but oh so deliciously made.
Honestly, now that I think about it, a lot of the food at Foxy's are pretty substantial and it's quite easy to eat for cheap if you decide to split a meal. It's certainly big enough to do so. You can certainly eat one all to yourself if you're that damn hungry and willing to work out later on in the day. ^_^
Still, definitely a spot worth coming to. It's a simple homemade taste that's hard to come by as of late. Cheers Foxy's for saving my empty stomach all these years I've lived and worked near you. ^_^

No matter what your in the mood for Foxy's has got you covered. Foxy's is especially good for birthday dinners or any other type of dinner that brings a lot of people together that have different tastes.
Your crying nephews can get chicken strips. Your grandpa who will only eat steak and potatoes will be covered. Your Mexican cousin who only eats Mexican food can get some carne asada. Your picky sister who does not like anything, well she can get whatever she wants because she probably wont like it anyways.
Me personally, I love Foxy's Chilaquiles with carne asada. I have had this dish many times homemade at a friends house and I think that Foxy's was just as good, if not better then the homemade one. Foxy's is prepared with tortilla chips mixed in with eggs, cheese, bell peppers, onions, lots of carne asada, and slices of avocado on top. It also comes with rice and beans. I also love Foxy's homemade chili con carne, I always get this as an appetizer. Foxy's also has a delicious dessert called the custom carrot cake. It is a double layer cake made with carrots, raisins, walnuts, pineapple, pecans and is covered with cream cheese frosting and sprinkled with more nuts.
This place always has amazing service (even if your family is a real pain in the you know what). They have a nice big patio in case you want to eat outside (in case your family is too rambunctious for the inside dining room). I also think it is really cool that they have a toaster at each table so you can toast your own bread.
Foxy's is also really inexpensive, it cost no more than Denny's or Norm's but the food is ten times better.
Check this place out whenever you are in the area. You can even bring your crazy family along, Foxy wont mind at all.
P'S- Just in case you were wondering, those crazy bunch of people I was referring to in the beginning of this review is my family. I'm so glad we only get together on special occasions.
Been coming here for years with my family. The host/manager and possible owner is a sweetheart! Always a smile on his face but firm with his staff. Small place but plenty of seating. It can get a bit noisy inside so I'd suggest the patio if it's crowded.
You must try the chicken quesadilla. This monster of a thing will not let you grab a hold of it to shove it down your mouth. It's full of huge chicken chunks and cheese and veggies. The hot tortilla is crispy and the wonderful juices just run all over the place. This is best to just cut up and eat. Still very delicious! Comes with guac and salsa and some chips. Thank you, finally a place that doesn't charge for the guac on the plate.
My family and I have been coming here for years for breakfast and sometimes dinner for a light bite, but this time was the first time I ever noticed in the window the "People on Yelp Love Us" sticker. Which just had me laughing up a storm, but I can see why; the food is always fresh and delicious, the staff is very attentive and the cost of food is at a very reasonable price for the portions they serve. This is a very family orientated Restaurant and it looks sorta like your eating in a log cabin somewhere up in big bear away from all the hectic of Los Angeles. I will continue to come here for as long as this gem is still in Glendale.
Went here for lunch. Had a salad and it was blah. Looks like I should of had breakfast.
Great breakfast place. Stopped here on my way to the HD dealership on a crowded weekend day. Got seated right away. I did think the toaster on the table was nifty and did wonder if it worked. Didn't get a chance to try it. However, the biscuits are killer and large!!!
Such a cute place. No wonder it's always crowded.
Great for brunch, and great value for the price.
So many selections, I didn't know what to do! I've been here twice, once ordering the cordon bleu, and once the fajitas omelette. With each order came a choice of toast (wheat, sour dough, white) and potatoes or biscuits AND fruit or hash browns. Plenty of food, yeah?
I'd recommend trying the biscuits.
The decor is old-fashioned (even the cash register!) and homely. I'd definitely recommend coming here at least once.
