Toasters, toasters galore! This place used to be walking distance from my previous casa. There was construction all around it from some time, but now that sprawling Americana mess is across the street pretty much. Still. I like Foxy's. The bacon and avocado omelet keeps me coming back...mmmMmmmMmmmm...

This place has such a cool vibe.

Gotta love the toasters on the tables and the fireplace at the helm of this A frame, cabin like building.

It's always packed on the weekends so be prepared to wait, but the breakfast menu makes it worth it.

Omelets, Pancakes, Waffles....take your pick they're all really good.

Standard breakfast fare with a cool vintage vibe.

Came here b/c the new Americana next door was a big disappointment due to the lack of food choices. This place is nothing really to write about. The food is ok. I had a chicken salad croissant and that tasted ok. My friend had the top sirloin steak and he didn't like it at all. My other friends were pretty happy with their dishes. I guess it depends on what you order. From the sounds of it, the sandwiches and breakfast items are the way to go.

The service was excellent. The waiters were very attentive and polite. The mountain cabin theme is different than the typical bland decor of Denny's. What I did find interesting is the toasters found on the ends of the smaller tables. Didn't ask why they were there.

If you are in the mood for American food and don't want to pay the overprices food options at Americana, this place is across the street.

Knowing we'd be in parts unfamiliar, we Yelped out a search and landed nicely at Foxy's. Simple proof that with only 4 minutes before dashing out the door, you can find a gastro gem here. Foxy's looks like a place you might pull into while traveling up to Yosemite or something. Cozy yet cavernous, it's a real welcome inn.

But enough about looks. The menu goes on forever and you can go lotsa differerent directions and wind up goo-ood. I went pseudo healthy with the Power Omelette. Not all that greasy, some veggies no cheese, chicken in eggwhites. Liked it, but the fruit that came with was no bonus. The Foxy Special ('cakes, eggs, bacon) went over well, as did the Power Wrap. Guac app used as a topper for the table was fine.

Gawked at some other good-looking stuff. Steamed seafood something-or-other was at the next table, and some tri tip specialtiy of theirs also looked and sounded awesome. Love to go back. Sit outside overlooking shrubs and parking lot, inside by the faux Northern Woods diarama, the toaster-lined counter, or maybe in the steeple/fireplace room, or perhaps the low-key addition room with TV avail. It's all good.  Service was busy, but very good. And yes, the Galleria is across the street.

for the prices, this place is pretty legit.

i would recommend ordering the hash browns instead of the home fries; ive tried both and the hash browns are far superior.

i'm not gonna lie, the food isn't anything to write home about, but the service and overall experience was great :)

my coffee was always full and the waitress was charming :)

aside from Dish in La Canada, this is gonna be my new breakfast spot.

thanks, Yelpers, for pointing me in Foxy's direction!!

Food can be good (depending on what you order), I'd suggest the enchiladas.  Reasonably priced as well.  Only problem with this place is that it has a beautiful outside eating area which can't really be enjoyed because the restaurant is located on a very busy, LOUD, traffic heavy street.
The inside of the place is beautifully decorated and the staff is very friendly.

This place makes me happy.  Don't come here often but it's the kind of place that when mentioned my fat stubby hands start fidgeting and my eyes light up.  This place is VARIETY.  Everything I have had I have loved.  My friend Jen said she got sick the last two times she ate here (she's crazy), I refuse to beleive this. So yeah...

The main ugh about this place is that it can get busy.  Like Roscoe's chicken and waffles on a sunday afternoon busy.

This a good little Diner.  Great for you coffee, eggs, bacon and toast needs.  Yes, you can toast your own bread at the table.  i personally think this is just about the stupidest thing ever, but who am i?

I can't comment on the lunch and dinner fare, I wouldn't expect much more than average diner food.

This is my go-to place for breakfast in Glendale.

Freaking fantastic blue cheese dressing! Foxy's is a high quality greasy spoon. Great omelettes. Great burgers. Great sandwiches. The wait to get in on a weekend morning usually sucks, and parking at the motel next door due to an undersized parking lot is a bit odd, but oh man...that blue cheese is worth it.

Our breakfast was great today.  I had the huevos a la mexicana and my  husband had eggs, hashbrowns, bacon with a side of biscuits and gravy.  My daughter got to toast her own bread and she loved it.  The only disappointment were the biscuits and gravy.  They tasted like curry.  The most interesting part of the meal is the huge bowl of about 20 creamers they continually refill while you eat.  The service was great even though they were so busy, and we didn't have to wait long for a table.  Yeah!

Kind of disappointing. We went here for Easter brunch. The kitchen got my omelet wrong, and the food was incredibly bland. And when I think of "omelet," I generally think of a mixture of ingredients, not all the ingredients wrapped up in the center of an egg pancake, but maybe that's just me. The toast was beefy and tasteless, and afterwards we felt kind of sick to our stomachs, even though we didn't even eat all of our meals.  This restaurant is actually the first one where I've had a sizable amount of food left on my plate and declined to take home the leftovers. Coffee was pretty good though, such as it was.

Whenever I try to think of a place to eat in Glendale, Foxy's is the first place that pops into mind. No matter how hard I try to think of other places, my mind always wanders back to Foxy's. It's like that long lost love you can't shake! I've taken about a handful of friends on different occasions to Foxy's for a nice catch-up over a meal. All have been quite happy with the choice, to my knowledge at least.

I would say it's more of a restaurant than a diner though. It has a cozy cabin feel on the inside, complete with wooden beams and a fireplace. On a good weathered day, their patio is sweet too. Sometimes cute little sparrows come to greet you by your table.

I've had breakfast, brunch, lunch, lunner, dinner, and dessert  here. Their menu is very flexible to any taste buds or cravings. Here's my personal favorites, broken down by the meal: breakfast - thick and buttery french toast, brunch - make-it-yourself omelette, lunch -  scrumptous veggie sandwich, lunner - cup of their excellent chili, dinner - something off of their south of the border menu, dessert - well, I've only had their lemon cake but that was excellent too. I have yet to order something that is mediocre.

And in my opinion, I think the toaster on the table idea is fantastic! Although you have to keep an eye your bread and make sure it doesn't char.

This fun restaurant in Glendale has a welcoming chef Boyardee statue greeting you as you approach in your car. Friendly staff usually seat you promptly. The decor is updated 80's ski lodge. There are dark brown cathedral ceilings, wood paneling and have two fireplaces on each side of the dining room.

The menu is filled with countless options and very generous portions. They start you off with mouthwatering flat bread and soft butter. If toasting's what drives you, this is the place to come. There are toasters at every table for your toasting enjoyment. Cheers!

The soup is always delicious here. I usually order a crispy chicken salad or a burger. Everything I've had at Foxy's has been perfect. In my opinion it's one of the best places for low key eating. Fast, hardly any crowds and reasonable prices make Foxy's a great Wednesday night place.

I grew up very close to Rhode Island, home of the first diners and also a place where we don't mind being fat.  Since moving to LA I have been searching for a place that will just serve me wicked good crappy diner food and I may have found it at Foxy's.

The service wasn't great but my bacon omelet, wheat toast and home fries were!  And really that's all I care about.  I immediately wanted to take a nap but didn't feel sick.  It was excellent.

My bacon omelet came topped with guac and tortilla chips (MORE avocado, Cali?  Srsly?) so I shifted it to an empty plate so I could get at the bacon, eggs and cheese hidden beneath.  The home fries were seasoned well and I must say I did an excellent job toasting my bread.

The toast your own bread idea is cute and was fun but I was alone and I imagine it could get annoying if there are a bunch of you hoping to get your toast on quickly.  Or maybe I just love toast and am impatient.

Definitely topping my diner list at the moment.

If you guys can't tell already, my requirement for good food is GREASY FOOD!

I ordered the vegetarian omelette and it was damn greasy and super buttery.   The mixture of eggs cheese veggies and artery clogging fat melted in my mouth.  Ok Ok, I'm gross, but I'm serious it was delicious.

Before we got our food, the waitress brought over a loaf of bread.  I thought it was the weirdest thing that she brought over COLD bread.  I read previous reviews about the the toasters that are on every table and I thought they were just for decoration.  Eventually, I figured out that the toasters actually function and made my own toast.

I would've given them five stars, but  my friends didn't seem to enjoy their food too much.  One ordered nachos and seemed to enjoy it all right, and the other one hated her beef taco shell salad (I'm not sure if that's what it's called) because she didn't like the shredded beef it came with.

So, I'm looking for a friend who loves fatty foods to go back here with me.

Thanks to my fellow Yelpers, I decided to give this joint a try.  I was immediately taken by the A-frame architecture and quasi mountain lodge interior design.

We took Jerald M's lead and ordered the mashed potato and bacon omelet.  It was rich and delicious but better suited for a hangover cure.  The pancakes were good, but the syrup was the processed kind, with little to no trace of maple.  (Somewhere along the way, I became a maple syrup junkie, so it's hard for me to eat pancakes or waffles with anything else.)  My friend ordered the cinnamon roll french toast.  Also excellent, but talk about a major sugar high.  Overall, my recommendation is to share something salty and something sweet with a companion because it's all good.

If you have kiddies, you're in luck.  Our party had 4 adults, a toddler, and a baby, and we all fared well at Foxy's.

First things, first. I HATE Glendale. I'm not sure why, but it basically feels like an endless strip mall with a strange odor. Sure, it's located just a few minutes away by car, and contains hundreds of long-standing businesses and Los Angeles staples, but that doesn't stop it from sucking. Whenever possible I avoid nearby Glen"hell" and visit further counterparts like the Porto's in Burbank and the EatWell in the Fairfax District. I just hate Glendale.

That being said, I have found one redeeming place amongst the car lots and putrid Armenian fast food joints. That place is Foxy's. I went here on a bustling Saturday morning and found myself unable to settle on which delicious sounding breakfast to select. It was a cornucopia of savory egg benedicts and griddled cakes and hearty omelets. I was in the mood (as always) for some French toast and Foxy's did not disappoint. Now, the food was above average but not mind-blowing. In fact, the coffee was pretty much "Dennys-like."

No, the biggest selling point for Foxy's is the variety. It's a shrewd business move by the Foxy's management to include so many different kinds of poached eggs on breads/toasts/muffins that I will return just to conquer each and every one of them.

So if you ever find yourself in the unfortunate position of having to spend time in Glendale, make your life a little more bearable and go to Foxy's for breakfast.

why yes, those are toasters on the tables!

I happen to love breakfast, breakfast for breakfast, breakfast for dinner, and of course breakfast after a bit of drinking... but who doesn't crave an omelet at 2:30am? Unfortunately, Foxy's isn't open that late.. but you see where I am going. I heart breakfast.

I tried Foxy's after reading positive reviews and wholeheartedly agree with them.  If you have a choice of bread - go for the biscuits. If you're craving chilaquiles, they're awesome. I'm slowly making my way through the omelets and no complaints so far! I even know 2 people who have tried the mashed potato and bacon omelet and totally loved them.

The staff has been totally courteous and the prices are reasonable. Expect a wait on the weekend, but it's totally worth it!

Yep, this place is a gem and a Glendale Institution, along w/ the neighboring Galleria. I've been coming here for years! Since I was a Frosh in H.S.(graduated in 93, so that's been a min or two now.) Can not stress my love n' loyalty for the place. I mostly go for weekday breakfast and maybe Sat/Sun brkfst, if I'm up early. Any time after 9:30, weekend morning, expect to wait.

Service is, in my opinion, a crap shoot. Hey ! I work in the industry, so I know what is acceptable and what ain't ! But find that server w/ a heart of gold and you're set...Hi Deb! Hi Maria ! Knowing a couple of the busboy by name and you've got a team to work w/ ya ! Don't forget to kick him down a buck or two, and by next couple of visits, they'll remember if ya like coffee in a big cup or extra choc. syrup on top of your cappuchino. Well...that's in my experience...well...I have been coming here for years too.

The selection of food is quite impressive. I never get bored of the menu and I try their daily special every once in awhile too. The Carne Asada is pretty good and they'll even throw a couple of jalapenos toreados (fried jalapenos) your way. The atmosphere is cozy, kinda reminds me of a Bavarian Ski Lodge, and the patio is sooo inviting, that I sometimes roll the dice and hope that no one will light up soon as I sit outside to enjoy my meal.

The proprietor, Shawn, is a good guy and a crack up as well, I hope you have the opportunity to hear him sing to an embarrassed birthday boy/girl. And every time he sees myself or my family members, he always says, " FLORES !!" in a booming voice never the less ! Sheesh, did everyone get that ? All in all this place is a gem and there's no use in keeping this a secret, cuz well everyone knows about it already...so what's keeping ya?

We went here for and early lunch.  So was it a brunch?  I'm going to say know no because I'm morally opposed to the word brunch because it's a stupid word.

Any ways, I had the breakfast special and it was yummy.  I think it should come with two eggs though, that one eggs was sad and lonely.  I ate it first to put it out of it's misery, then I drowned the pancakes in syrup and chopped those bitches up and wolfed them down before they even knew what hit them.

I'd recommend this place, it's nice and casual and on the cheap side.  For nine people or so it was only $84.  not bad.

The atmosphere was nice, but the parking was bad, probably made worse by the fact that there is no street parking due to construction.

Was staying in Glendale, and used Yelp to find a place to eat.  With all the recommendations here, had to go.

The toaster on the table was a nice touch, but limiting my carbs ... so did not get to use.  Midweek is a great time to go in, as there are very few people in there (at least when I went).

Great selection, and very good food.  Tasty coffee, and constant checking back to make sure the cup was full.

UPDATE:
Went back for supper tonight.  Great selection, and on a night of Santa Ana winds and warm temps the patio was great.  Had an appetizer, salad and a couple glasses of wine ... heaven.

It's so nice to have moved to an area where there is no shortage of good breakfast places. The first two restaurants that I tried for breakfast in Glendale--Foxy's and Eat Well--were exactly what I wanted to find in a close proximity to my apartment for a weekend meal: reasonably-priced places with a good selection of vegetarian options and well made Home Fries. Foxy's is a lot more crowded--parking can be kind of rough around 9 and 10--and a more expensive, but the food is better, too. Rather than simplistic (read: classic) diner food, Foxy's has an impressive American / Tex-Mex (I hate the word "Tex-Mex" so much)menu. I kept it simple, however, and had huevos rancheros. The portions were big and service was attentive.

I sat outside and didn't get to experience the table top toasters. Perhaps next weekend.

My first encounter with Foxy's was likely four or more years ago. I remember it being cute and kitschy, with it's pseudo Alpine decor and toasters on the tables. Couldn't tell you what I ate - likely a patty melt, as that is the standard fare by which all diners are judged - but as I say, it was a while ago.

Fast-forward to August 31, 2006, when two of my colleagues treated me to a last-day lunch to celebrate the new job I would be starting the very next day. Since my new office was located in Old Town Pas with impossible lunch time parking issues, I knew it'd be a while before I'd make it to Foxy's again. I remember that I had a Mexican dish and remember that it was good, as was the service and the overall experience.

So why review Foxy's now? Well, exactly one year later, on August 31, 2007, I found myself at this venerable Glendale institution to celebrate another last-day lunch - this time for my beloved manager who took a really cool gig up in No Cal, and also to celebrate my own pending promotion and one-year anniversary.

There were just five in our party, though I'd originally made reservations for eight. Our server was immediately attentive, our drink orders taken quickly, and once it was determined the remaining three we were expecting would not be able to make it, our orders were taken quickly as well.

I had the fish and chips and must say that this diner/pub staple was pretty tasty. Another colleague had a turkey sandwich, tempted by the description of the meat being fresh roasted (it was) and judging by the silence that ensued once the food was brought out, I'd say all were quite satisfied.

The place is a bit quirky, and parking stinks, but Foxy's is a veritable dining institution that is definitely worth repeat visits!

Right now the ferocious din of construction may be the bane of patio-goers at this restaurant. Thank Caruso for that.  I've only been here for breakfast and the patio is great (minus the current construction situation). The inside is cosy and decked out in a lodgy style theme. It smells like coffee and as many have mentioned, there are toasters at the tables.

Prices are great for such high quality food. It might be a bit of a blender-bender to find excellent Mexican-inspired breakfast dishes across from Jewish favorites (lox and bagels) on the menu, but that's one of the most wonderful things about dining in this melting pot we call LA. Recently, I had the "Alamo" (7.95) which consisted of poached eggs on English muffins with ranchero sauce, cheese and avocado and was served with hasbrowns.

I must confess I am a carb lover so when I first bit into the tasty dish I had an internal struggle between devouring and relishing it.  My date's finicky appetite recalled a Sante Fe skillet from Modesto and the waitress was very accomodating in his fandangeled request for eggs mixed in with Southern potatos, avocado and peppers. It was also served with refried beans and rice. He  ravished his food almost as quickly as I did and he tends to be a slow eater.

Good food, good atmosphere and good service. What more is there to ask for?

As previously mentioned, the construction blows. However...

After reading all the reviews from my fellow Yelpers, I decided to give Foxy's a go. Simply put, it was pretty damn awesome.
I had a bacon, avocado, and tomato omelette with hash browns and sourdough toast. Oh man was it yummy, and super filling. The coffee is decent, the service is awesome, and I never had to ask for anything.
The prices are pretty good too. It's cheaper than Ihop and way tastier. Plus, unlike Ihop, you won't stick to the tables at Foxy's. Go- enjoy breakfast.

Foxy's has brought a closer understanding between my wife and I with  the question
"Where do you want to eat?"
which often times brings any number of differing restaurants, food types, and preferences, to bear in mind & (hopefully) agree upon. When either of us suggest to the other  "How about Foxy's?", we easily agree 4 out of 5 times!
Foxy's is compact restaurant with a high wood beamed ceiling reminiscent of both an old wooden sailing ship or the old International House of Pancakes structures.

There are 2 outstanding attractions which bring people back to Foxy's restaurant, the food and the service. They are good in either order. Did I say 2 things? I should have said there are 3.
The menu selection, besides being delicious, is also large and varied; and the prices are reasonable. My favorite item for breakfast is called Fred's Special, a croissant sandwiching scrambled eggs, cheese, and bacon or sausage, served with fruit and your choice of potatoes or fresh fruit (usually very good & better than most!). There are also superior Mexican dishes available; and for the meat eaters in your circle, their T-bone, Top Sirloin, & New York Steaks are available for breakfast or Dinner. One does not have to be strictly an eater of meat to be able to tell the quality and price (surprisingly reasonable) surpasses most coffee shops and well known restaurant chains too! The servers, hosts/hostesses, and the support workers, are personable and charming especially working with crowds that overflow their parking lot which is very often filled to capacity (another small lot is located around the other side of the block with steps connecting it to the restaurant's lot) but Sunday mornings are reason enough for my wife and I to opt parking on the street.
I especially like how Foxy's support staff (bus people) keep your coffee cup filled!

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude, toasters on the table!?!! Is there anything else needed in the world of breakfast luxury? I think not. So give it up for Foxy's, cuz they be like, givin the power of toastin control back to the peoples one table at a time :)

Oh and the breakfast food is great for hangovers. Not that I would ever need such a thing :)

This morning my gal pal and I were up and ready for a yummy breakfast near Los Feliz, but knew we wanted to try a place we'd never been before.  Foxy's was the perfect solution.  Thanks to fellow Yelpers, we were eager to try this cute little restaurant. We arrived close to noon and amazingly enough, were seated immediately. We didn't have trouble finding a spot in their parking lot, either!

First off, the ambiance is so cozy and comfortable. Even though there were lots of people, it never felt cramped or hectic. We were able to take our time and enjoy our meals. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and my friend ordered a short stack.  I will admit it was my first time ordering Huevos Rancheros, but damn, if that's how Huevos Rancheros are supposed to taste... I could eat them everyday. It was delicious! Needless to say, I cleaned my plate. My friend enjoyed her short stack as well. The service was great and the prices were very reasonable!  Our bill came out to less than $20 for both of us.  I can't wait to go back -- maybe we'll be lucky enough to sit at a table with a toaster.

Foxy's is one of my successful internet matchmaking stories. I work in the area and was looking for local non-corporate grub. Foxy's definitely delivered.

From the name, I envisioned a cheap greasy restaurant that hadn't seen a decor update since 1972. I was pleasantly surprised to roll up to a clean, cozy establishment with friendly staff to greet me. The inside has an inviting cabin feel, and yes there are toasters on all the inside tables.

I love a place with a lot to choose from especially when it comes to comfort food, of which Foxy's is great at offering. The menu is 7 pages long and filled with everything from breakfast croissants and omelettes to chicken strips or fajitas. The dessert menu looks scrumptious with fruit tarts and items like Creme Brulee Cheesecake. Yum!

The coffee is a light to medium roast and goes great with Foxy's Special Breakfast-1 egg, 2 sausages or bacon strips, and 3 buttermilk hotcakes. The Light Eaters breakfast is also one of my favorites with 2 eggs, a toasted English muffin, and fresh fruit. And we're not talking hardened melon balls either. The fruit is a nice mix with a few strawberries.

Foxy's keeps my coffee mug and my wallet full, with reasonable prices and quality food. The hours are a plus also. I believe they open at 6am.

In case you'd like to spy on the menu before going, here you are:

You want breakfast?  You want a big hearty substantial breakfast?  You want a big hearty breakfast with things like fluffy biscuits, cinammon roll french toast, and omlettes filled with anything you can imagine served on plates you can carry on your shoulder?  You want to loosen you belt while eating this breakfast?  You want attentive friendly fast service and coffee refills that just keep coming during your breakfast?  You want your own toaster on the table, a slightly weird but homey decor while you eat this breakfast?
Then eat here!

Finally!  A diner/breakfast place that doesn't make me wanna kill myself.  The menu here is extensive, but it's okay.  If you have a tough time making a decision, I think I can safely say most things here are gonna be good.  I myself have only had the simplest of foods here, toast, eggs, fruit...but I'd definately go back.  The table wasn't greasy, the waitress was SUPER nice, and there was a toaster on the table.  Sweet.

Went to Foxy's for breakfast this morning...  Last night I even came home early from clubbing at Les Deux for this breakfast this morning at 9...  lol...  coz I just love this place!!!  So today I took a pic of that TOASTER so I can show people what's crackin' at the Foxy's...

I drive all the way from Miracle Mile to Glendale for this place...  I just crave it -- my friend and I have a monthly Foxy's breakfast meeting.

FOOD -- very fresh ingredients and variety of stuff...
SERVICE -- absolutely customer-friendly... can't you tell?  toaster on your table...

Here are some tips -- if you wanna get a parking spot and a table to eat, plan your breakfast early -- this place gets packed by 9 a.m.  I don't know about other times of the day coz I only go there for breakfast...  if you want a toaster on your table, get a booth -- regular tables don't come with a toaster -- but if you don't care for some extra toasted carbs, never mind, sit wherever you want...

Overall, this is one of my favorite breakfast joints.  Also, price is reasonable for the quality of their food -- cheaper than IHOP, 100 times better quality than IHOP -- IHOP is nasty...
