Great neighborhood bar.  Never had a bad meal here.  From the Pizza to the pasta specials it is always a yummy meal.  Service is great!  What a friendly crew!

If you are looking for "bar pizza," look no further.  The pizzas are thin, personally sized, and served on a metal pizza pan.  Buy 3 and you get a free cheese.  The rest of the menu is also really good: apps, burgers, pastas.  Haven't had anything bad here yet.  The cookie pie dessert was pretty slamming too.

Also, there is a separate bar side (with the actual bar and booths and high top tables) and restaurant, but they serve the same menu.  So, if you are feeling like bar food and their prices, but want to dine a little fancier, hit up the right hand side of the restaurant.

SUPER.

I wish I had been a little more adventurous, but I was in a severe burger & fries mood... carbohydrate nervous breakdown if you will.

The bffl & I went in on Thursday night, got seated in a super comfy booth immediately. Parking was a snap in the parking lot around back. Our server was a doll.

We had the potato skins as an app, SO flaky and yummy.

We both got the cheeseburger clubs. I don't know why, but seriously it was the best burger club I've ever had. The fries DO need salt, but are awesome.

Service wasn't in our face, checked on us here and there.. the interior is cooler than you'd think.

Definitely awesome pub food!

I'm dropping my rating to 2 stars. It really should be 2.5. However. I went here the other day, late afternoon, ordered steak tips, REALLY excited. Steak tips done "medium" were SO chewy I literally ate one & didn't touch the rest of the plate. Like RUBBER but definitely done "medium..." My mouth HURT lol. the mashed were okay, and the broccoli was decent for broccoli, but wow the steak tips were ROUGH.

I just let it go, I didn't ask to be comped. I probably won't come back, unless it's strictly for burger and fries. Everything was off the other day, half assed server, crappy patrons, they sat us in a crappy spot.. I'm a little turned off.

Tried it out last night thanks to reviews on yelp, and it was pretty good. the spinach dip was more cheesy than spinachy, but not bad. I got the steak tips, which were pretty good, but my bf really enjoyed his prime rib special. and the portions are huge!  I did think the waitress was a bit slow getting things to our table occasionally, but very friendly and helpful.

I came here over the football season  if I wanted to watch the Patriots play outside of my living room. I live around the corner so I thought it was a good place to watch the game and have a few drinks.

There was an eclectic group of people watching the games, which made it a good place. Everyone was friendly and if you wanted to just watch the game in silence then you could.

I haven't eatien here much outside of the games, but it was a good place to watch games.

Also agree about the pizza,  there is always a constant flow of people just getting them to go.  All of the apps are good too and who can say no to the free goldfish crackers in a carafe at the bar?

I've lost count of the number of times I've had my ass handed to me at Golden Tee in the bar while stuffing my face with their pizza, nachos, chicken tendies and fries and watching a sox or pats game.  I've also heard good things about the pasta dishes but have never tried them myself.

For good pub food head to the Fowler House.  They have parking in the back if you can't find a spot out front on Hancock St.  I am sure some people won't agree with me but I truly believe they have the best pizza in Quincy, maybe even the South Shore.  It is always perfectly cooked with the perfect amount of toppings.  The wing dings are deelish...yes I realize these are frozen things dipped in a deep fryer but they do a great job with them.  They have a good sized menu and all of it is fantastic.  Apps, salads, and entrees, I have never had a bad anything there and I have been going there for a long time.  They have a mushroom ravioli in a cream sauce with several different types of mushrooms in it and it is soooo good.
Again, this is a pub/bar so don't expect fine dining but it is a great place to go whether you are on a date or hanging with friends.  There are big screen t.v.'s on the bar side and a quiet dining side.  Their drinks are quite tasty too:-)
Service is always satisfactory, never amazing, never horrible.
Good times...

I gotta say, I was surprised at how good the food is at the Fowler House. After passing it by many times because it looks like just another sports bar, we finally had dinner there. The bar side is everything you'd want from a sports bar- lots of TVs, booze flowing freely, loud guys, loud music, greasy bar food, loud everything. The dining room side provides a nice escape from the bar side, though they aren't separated by any closing door, so I wouldn't call it a romantic dining experience. And the door to the dining room opens right up onto the street, so if it's raining or snowing, the elements could very well affect your dinner.  As for the food- The lemon chicken was so good that it's now a dish I crave. The bacon wrapped scallops were done just the way I like them, and the nachos will please most every nacho lover. The wait staff has been hit or miss for me- some nights we get phenomenal service, some nights we're stuck in a corner and either forgotten about or never left alone. Their HVAC system seems busted all the time- it's either way hot or super cold in there.  But overall, it's a great casual dining place that seems 'tucked away', despite being right on Hancock Street.
