WOW is all I hae to say about this hotel! We stayed at his hotel a couple months ago and I was amazed. We walked into our HUGE room to find our crib set up - a real crib with the bumber and crib setting all set up. Inside the crib there was a basket full of baby shampoo's, skin wash, diapers, swimming diapers, etc! Then, I went into the bathroom to check it out... At first I thought, "geez, they didn't notice someone left their baby bath in the tub while cleaning?!" Then, I realized, they put that there for me! These special little touches really made me feel at home and welcome.
They gym there was a full gym... the indoor pool was a great pool to take my 9 month daughter.
They referred us to a GREAT Italian restaurant nearby...
I highly recommend this hotel!
My BF and I went to this hotel for a friend's wedding and a weekend getaway at the same time. The wedding was beautiful! They did a terrific job! I like the grand water fall as a backdrop for the wedding. It does remind me of Vegas style hotel. I noticed the staff at the banquet was well trained. I had fish for dinner which was excellent. However, the food at the reception was not good. The chicken nuggets were too dry.
We had a deluxe room which was nice except for the view of the freeway. The room was pretty roomy but not big. The bathroom was very nice! Big and Beautiful with a tv inside the bathroom. We also had breakfast there. The menu was really small and the food was good but not top.
The spa has cabanas with TVs. We had lunch out by the pool. We ordered the whole wheat turkey wrap and the Cobb Salad. The turkey wrap was better than the salad. My BF ordered a Bloody Mary which was $16. We also had to hunt people down to get service.
Compared to hotels in Asia or other four seasons I have stayed at, the overall service (except the banquet staff) at this hotel was ok. Overall, it was very relaxing and nice, however, I would not go out of my way to stay there.

This place is amazing. It is hard to imagine that an oasis as tranquil as this exists within the craziness of Los Angeles.
Take a walk around this place and enjoy the updated classic atmosphere accented by dark wood paneling and marble floors. It's like a 5 star hotel from Vegas, but closer and cheaper (the rooms, at least). The bar is great for an early evening cocktail and the outside area has a great view of the hotel's very large waterfall.
Food here is top notch. Even catered food is high quality, keeping in line with the Four Season's high service standards. Try their Sunday brunch if you are here over the weekend, or even lunch on any other day to try the menu. The guest rooms have plenty of space for a small family to spread out and the beds are comfy with plenty of pillows. To wash off the day, you have your choice of a shower or tub, complete with bath salts and soaps. I thought it was cute that all the staff people I talked with on the phone had French Canadian accents.
If I had a reason to be in Westlake Village again, I would stay at the Four Seasons in a heartbeat.

Katie L. gives the most AMAZING facial massage in LA, so if you are in the area and want a great facialist, then Katie is your girl!
She is truly gifted with her hands. Try her...you won't regret it!!
We've been to Hampton's on a Friday for the Seafood Buffet, and in word it's "freak'n awesome" - wait that's two. We went for our anniversary dinner, and I made it a point to have a small taste of everything they offered, which mind you was no small feat as they offer so many things to have. I want to meet the person who goes to this Friday Extravaganza and says it's just so-so, and then bonk them in the head like a V8 commercial.
Heads up! Become a friend with the Four Seasons Westlake on Facebook and they offer deals - mainly 50% if you show up, that day, but heck if you were going to go out anyway it is a total score! Normally the dinner will set you back $50, but you are in for a treat, so a splurge here is a good thing (get that vision of Martha out of your head!).
We also had a comfy and romantic drink in the bar by the fireplace. Perfect.
Want to try Onyx, it looks great!
We have yet to stay here overnight, and can't seem to justify it as we live less than a mile away, but I'd love to do it one day. I love this place.

I had the pleasure of staying here awhile back. This hotel ranks right up there with the one in Beverly Hills but without the glitz! The rooms are nicely decorated with plenty of room to lounge. I had a room on a higher floor with a nice mountain view. The service was top notch the moment I step foot onto the hotel. From the concierge to the cleaning crew, everyone had a smile which made me feel welcome!
I didn't get a chance to try any of the restaurants at the property. Bummer. For all you meat lover, Mastro is down the street. The pool area quaint with a nice sun deck to layout. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. If you're looking for a remote place to getaway; lounge by the pool or use the spa then this is the place for you. Oh, and another thing while walking around the grounds, I notice they offer up cooking classes. For all you women wanting to hone in on your skills this is for you!
If you are looking for a quite weekend getaway. I highly recommended this place. The hotel is a bit on the pricey side but the service is well worth it.
After the weekend I just had there, I am a big fan! I wasn't too sure about the hotel, although I've heard about it since I live nearby and had been to an event there. My husband found out about a new deal they have called Double the Fun...it was a great value! The second night was free (so he splurged for the suite upgrade!!!!) and then everything we did was basically buy one get one free! The catch is the "companion plays for free," but that means you get to go to the spa and pay for one massage then got another one for free, etc at all of the restaurants. The offer is just for the summer.
The hotel is a bit modest on the outside, but inside it's beautiful with marble everywhere, chandeliers and the best gym... better than mine (I think you can actually get a membership there). We tried the sushi restaurants which was really good, although we sat outside and it was a bit warm. Overall a great stay in my backyard.

I love this place, it is an easily accessible place if you are diving on the 101. The parking is great, if you want to valet, there is never a wait, and the parking structure is about 25 yards from the main entrance. The foyer always has a welcome cup of tea, and nuts, the concierge is was helpful and accommodating with all of my questions and helped me with gift certificates as well. I have spent a few days at the spa, loving every moment! The setting has a little of an Asian flair on the women side of the spa. This place also has a wellness center, they do cooking classes and inner cleansing procedures here. I love the lounge here, the pool tables are great! I cant wait to try the seafood buffet! 2 words LOVE IT!

**This review is for the hotel's restaurant Hampton's**
So while this is technically in Westlake Village, I think Hampton's might just be one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles. The food and service are pretty impeccable-- the staff is so attentive it's almost ridiculous. I tried the lobster, ahi tuna, and the sea bass, and everything was excellent-- the cooking is super light (since there's a wellness spa at the hotel they have a lighter and heavier menu). But I think my favorite part of the meal was dessert. We got a coffee creme brulee, which is amazing. And our other dessert was a refined take on the carrot cake-- a super light cream cheese napoleon with a scoop of carrot sorbet on the side. The carrot sorbet blew my mind! I would drive out to Westlake Village again just to get some more!

This review is solely based on the bar. Some friends were staying here after a wedding so we joined them in the hotel bar for a "proper drink," as my husband called it. The bar was decorated in an old fashioned style. It felt like 19th century England; I liked it. We sat on a couch near the fireplace and ordered drinks. My California Strawberry Lemonade (with organic fruits, of course) was very good.
Service was great, ambiance was relaxing. They also apparently don't mind small dogs in the bar. The 'resident' who came to talk to us was interesting, to say the least. It made our experience memorable, for sure =)

I only went there for a haircut at their salon. I arrived on time in the morning and waited 20 minutes for stylist (ron) to get there. He finally came and quickly apologized saying that he needed to pick up more foil on the way in. He cut, layered, thinned out, etc. Dried my hair quickly and a bit roughly with a humongous round brush, constantly instructing me to tilt my head this way and that way, so annoying! Finally, sent me on my way. Felt like a rush job for the price and 1 month later the haircut is decent.
Having stayed here a lot since my BF works in the area and stays up here on weekdays for work. The service is impeccable. The hotel is small and kinda plain IMO. Its never crowded as this is a strange location for a Four Seasons. The rooms are nice and comfy. I love the Four Seasons bed. I also love the spa, which will be reviewed separately.
The room service is fantastic. Everything is prompt and the staff is extremely helpful and curtious. The room service food is eh.
Just had an event here for the Breast Cancer research. The outside of the hotel looks like a university.. when you arrive you think, are you being drop off at a Campus or are you going to a 5 star hotel?? hmm??
That confusion changes all when you step into the lobby, Now you can feel how classy and sophisticated the place is. Walking in the lobby, there is a mini help yourself drink counter with lemonade, arnold palmer or ice tea. Went to their restooms and at the sink counter they have these heavy duty towlettes for you and l'occitane lotion.
Now I have to come back for the best part, the stay at the rooms ;-)

I got the pleasure of staying at this fantastic hotel with the best customer service and the best amenities!!!
The bedroom was gorgeous and their beds were heavenly! You would sink in when you got into them and it was just great!
The bathrooms were also a plus and very well decorated! Also it was nice that they had provided you with L'Occitane shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap! I didn't use it since I prefer Aveda, but still, L'Occitane is a pretty nice product as well!
The room service that we got in the morning was right on time! Our bill for our breakfast was a nice $50 for an order of the eggs benedict and banana waffles.
Everyone at the hotel was very nice and very attentive and friendly staff members!

Of course it's five stars, it's the Four Seasons. I spent a weekend here with my fiance recently. We told the front desk we were celebrating our engagement and they set us up in a room with complimentary champagne and chocolates, which definitely set the tone for a romantic getaway.
The outdoor pool and grounds are lovely and relaxing, the indoor pool was great for lap swimming and the fiance pronounced the gym excellent (and informed me that we need to have chilled hand towels spiked with eucalyptus essential oils in our bathroom at home from now on).
We stayed in the cheapest room, which was still spacious, comfortable and featured the Greatest Bathroom Of All Time. There was a huuuuge soaking tub (big enough for two large adults), a separate shower and W.C., a flat screen TV and L'Occitane products. I was in heaven.
Overall, just great. If anyone wants to get out of the city without totally breaking the bank, spend a couple nights here. It's close but feels a million miles away -- just let the staff treat you like a deity and enjoy yourself.

Norah, my (step)Mom, was staying at this property while attending a business conference on Monday - Wednesday, so Deb & I gladly took the opportunity to get together for dinner, drinks, & conversation.
I'd agree with others that it is a beautiful property, but I'm not impressed by all the surrounding buildings that give it a business park-feel. Once inside, though, it was apparent that this is one of the nicest places that I've visited.

I had breakfast in the lobby here about a year ago. This hotel is a top notch property, and by far the best one in Westlake Village. The exterior is very understated, but they spared no expense with the interiors. The service and breakfast were excellent, but the surroundings were even better. There was a small waterfall outside near the lobby and the windows were looking out at the lush greenery.
The only reason why I didn't give this hotel 5 stars is because I have not used all the faculties in this hotel. My girlfriends took me here last year on my Birthday last year & we had a wonderful time! You walk in & the place is stunning & has such a romantic feel. We ate in the front room with beautiful views of their waterfall. I also went back last month to celebrate another birthday for a friend & we set in the sporting lounge. Again, we had a great time! The sports lounge has a great sitting area with a classy bar & then you enter another room with Tables & chairs & couches for lounging. The also have 3 nice pool tables to enjoy a competitive game of pool~I live close but I would still like to stay the night there & enjoy the spa! eeewww la la!
The food is great, Staff is their for every need & you can't go wrong with their wines so Enjoy! Oh yeah!...The brunch is yummy too! Can get expensive but if your gonna pay for it, you should get it all here.

The Four Season Hotel in Westlake Village, CA is almost identical to the one in Dublin, Ireland. I know, I know...how could that be? Maybe the exterior is similar, but the interior decor is identical. (It has been 3 years since Dublin....)
Superb service, fine food and lots of privacy, plus a soulful soak at the spa always does the trick. Nice job FS! I love you.
Terri G.
P.S.
We have never been let down with this chain, thus far.....always perfect, always a great suite.

By far the nicest hotel that I have ever stayed. I typically stay at only 4 and 5 star hotels (unless i'm in some remote location w/o one). Four Seasons has thought through everything for the benefits of its guest. First, the beds are like clouds. You lay on them and you do not want to get off. The food at the hotel is extremely healthy and tasty so when you leave you don't feel like you gained 2-3 lbs from your stay. My favorite dish is the Cobb Salad with the yogurt dressing. Out of this world!! The bathroom is perfection. The bath tub included salts so one could really relax in the soothing tub. The view of the water fountain in the back and the gazebo was great. I cannot imagine a bad view at this hotel even though it is fairly close to a major freeway. If you have someone you like and you want to treat them to a nice weekend retreat.. this is the place! With restaurants in the hotel and close by, walking paths and trails near the hotel and just the available amenities available to guests indoor and outdoor pool, poolside service, full gym with top of the line equipment, etc, this is not to be beat. There is not one SINGLE thing this hotel has missed in its delivery.

There truly isn't a Four Seasons that I don't like, well Newport wasn't a favorite but I still liked it. Anyways...after hitting Suki 7 we decided we wanted one more stop and I suggested the FS. My friend who lives out there doubted me about going to a "hotel", I told her to trust me and low and behold we had a great time! This lobby bar even has pool tables! The grounds reminded me of the Ritz Carlton Pasadena, there isn't anything wrong with that since the Ritz is gorgeous...I just thought the resemblance was odd since it's two different chains.
The Four Seasons will *always* be my favorite hotel chain!

It's only appropriate that I review the monstrosity of a Hotel across the drive way from me.
Our company party was here before the hotel opened to the public (perks of both companies being owned by the same man). The food was really delicious and the ambiance is ridiculously nice.
It was an all you can eat finger food heaven with dim sum, sushi, dessert, and fresh cut meats and cheeses. The wine poured was divine....yes, divine!
We took a tour of the facility, at the live kitchen, the pool hall, the Sequoya trees, the water falls, the television studio, the art gallery, it's absolutely amazing.
If one can afford it, I highly recommend dining there, at Onyx or the Hampton's, staying there, spa treatments, health screening, cooking classes, etc...
Celebrity clientele, all I've heard of is Tiger Woods and Heather Locklear.

I went here for brunch on my way out of town. This was guaranteed the swankiest champagne brunch i have ever been to. Do not go in thinking it will be less than $60 a head. Do go in thinking you will be faced with the nicest, most expansive buffet you have ever seen. Wonderful outside seating area as well and very attentive wait staff. All the champagne, coffee and Fresh squeezed OJ you can drink as well.

A couple of my friends and I came here for my 22nd birthday lunch. We ate in the Lobby Lounge basically because everything else is too expensive for our young pockets! The lobby was beautiful and the scenery was very relaxing. We each got a glass of wine and we all enjoyed it. We ordered an appetizer and although I cant remember what it was I do remember it being good. I ordered the grilled vegetable sandwich which came with a side salad and it really was delicious! My friends all loved their entrees too.
The waitor was very nice and helpful and made me feel very special on my birthday! He brought out a complimentary birthday chocolate bundt type of cake with beautiful writing on it.
I would definitely come back here to dine and I am dying to eat at the Hamptons and also at Onyx but I have heard is is VERY expensive!
Beautiful hotel, great Four Seasons service, amazing spa...what's not to love? Can't wait to stay there again.
i love this place and i am not someone who really looks forward to being in westlake village (actually just the contrary).
seeing as i had to be here for a wedding, i do very much appreciate the severely reduced special rate the newlywed couple arranged for their guests. it included, for no extra charge, special accommodations for our little papillon. dogs under 15 lbs. are allowed to stay with their owners. she got a bed (ultimately she rejected the dog bed and preferred her own brought from home instead), and a marble bowl set filled with fiji water. she loved the room and felt right at home. our room window looked down on the valet entrance and she was plenty entertained watching all that was going on looking out the floor to ceiling windows. the beds are amazingly soft and comfortable, i hardly wanted to get out of bed. room service was impeccable and the food was delicious. the bathroom was spacious, with a full soaking tub, separate shower, bath robes and l'occitane bath products. the only thing i would change is better make-up mirrors and lighting. what makes this hotel far and above most other hotels are in the details: an extra long shoe horn hanging in the closet, his and hers hangers that don't leave stretch marks in our clothes, an hdmi dvd player, cordless phones, a door bell, electric "do not disturb signals." the only detail i kind of question is the bathroom phone because if someone had to make a phone call from the toilet there is really only one possibility of what that person was doing at the time... which means it's definitely not something i want to touch. just saying. anyway, all details for comfort is provided and unfortunately makes it difficult to return to my reality of no room service.
they have one of the most beautiful rose gardens i have seen off to the side of the hotel and was a great space to take our papillon for her walks and potty breaks.
the bar is an interesting place. it seems to close up a bit on the early side (about 11pm), but a nice place to have a cocktail (unfortunately not available at the wedding we went to) and relax on the couches in front of the fire place. we were lucky enough to strike up the most interesting conversation with one of the temporary residents.
yes, you read that right, someone is living at the four seasons. i need to figure out just how to get this one worked out for me.

Amazing hotel - besides the fact I love this hotel chain - this location in particular is just 100% right on the mark. I would skip staying in LA as this is a much better hotel option located about 30 miles from West LA right off the 101 fwy. Its such an amazing drive to/from LA via Pacific Coast Hwy - makes the trip so easy and in 35-45 mins. The spa here is perhaps the best in So Cal. It just sets the mood from the moment you enter. Prices are typical of a Four Seasons, however be prepared to be taken away.

I decided to book the Four Seasons in Westlake on a whim. My sister lives close by so we dropped the kiddo off for the night and enjoyed a relaxing 2 days alone (my hubby and I). We happened to go on one of the hottest weekends with the weather hitting at least 100 and hot wind as well. But I wanted to make the best of the time away. We got there and like reviews I've read, the building looks like a gigantic dorm you would see on the campus at SDSU. The grounds however are expertly manicured and completely lush and beautiful. We checked in a little early and while our room was not ready, we wanted to use the pool! Drinks, sun, water...fun! The only way to get to the pool was through the spa so my hubby and I were split up. It was an extremely huge spa with tons of amenities: sauna, whirlpool spa, steam room, showers, lockers. And I was lead to the co-ed lounge area, where I thought my hubby and I would meet. He got a little lost on his way out but nonetheless finally found me.
The pool was smaller than I expected for that size of hotel, but there was room for a lot of people. We were able to get 2 lounge chairs underneath an umbrella. They had cabana's available, but for a pretty penny you could reserve one for 4 or 8 hours. No thanks.
The people at the pool were primarily middle-aged yuppies having a weekend soiree with their friends. Middle-aged women talking about waxing (um, not what I wanted to hear) and their Manolo Blahniks. We are not upper class by any means and that was the vibe I got from the pool. We paid a buttload for beers (servers all around that also offered mochi to everyone) and after 2 each decided to go to our room in the nice AC!
Our room was gigantic and it was just the moderate room. The rate was $225 and worth every penny. We never left! Took advantage of the spa tub, drank from the mini bar, ordered room service, rented a movie...all while loungin on the super comfy bed, chillin in their terry cloth robes. Ended up ordering room service for breakfast the next morning and neither meal disappointed. Good food, great service and pretty darn quick.
The one thing I noticed though was that either the walls are thin or our neighbors were quite loud while gettin' it on at like 100 in the AM. I almost called for ear plugs, but it eventually ended! ;)
All in all, we'd like to be able to stay at a Four Seasons Hotel every time we travel, but that ain't happening any time soon.
I would visit again and perhaps do a spa day and eat in the restaurants...but we didn't need to leave our room, nor did we want to!

The interior of the Four Seasons does a 180 degree change from the Russian military housing feel you get on the outside.
Rooms were huge and very comfortable. The staff was as personable as you would expect from this style hotel.
Only thing I didn't get was the windows floor to ceiling windows in the bathroom that if you are not careful you are giving a show to the people in the parking lot!!
I've stayed at the Four Seasons for a handful of days in the last few months for work, and I must say it is probably the nicest hotel I've stayed in. Service is excellent, from check-in to check-out, and the rooms are flawless. Literally the only thing I could find wrong in my room was a burned out lightbulb in my chandallier one week, and that's hardly anything to complain about. The beds are awesome, and I love having a flat screen in the room as well as the bathroom. My only complaint is that the room service is overpriced, but that's typical for this type of hotel. I very much look forward to the rest of my work stays here.
First of all, We didn't spend the night, but we did spend a pretty penny here. This is a review of the spa and Hampton's.
So it was my wife's birthday and I decide to get her a gift certificate to the wellness thing they have here, thinking (stupidly) that she might want to have a massage, talk to a nutritionist or a life counselor and take a workshop or two. Luckily the gift certificate could be used in the spa because my wife wasn't into that at all. She's not overweight or anything, I just thought that she might like that. Dumb me. No, she remembers last year when I dropped her off at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa where she had a great massage package, but was lonely having to hang out with old ladies who walked around naked. So, she invited me along. I said, "what the hell. I've only had one massage in my life. Why not."
We got there around noon and checked in at the spa. The front desk lady/hostess was very nice and practically bent over backwards for little old us. We changed into our robes and had hot cider while lounging, then visited the indoor pool and had a late lunch after soaking in the jacuzzi. While we didn't go outside because it was butt cold, we did enjoy the scenery. The room service was pretty quick, about 15 min for a nice turkey avocado sandwich and a blueberry smoothie. Our spa hostess even came down to make sure that they took our order. Be aware that the room service fee is pretty steep, but if you're at the Four Seasons then you don't care. Then we went back to the spa via the underground walkway and waited for our couples massage. Apparently, you can go here and probably never be seen by the media. That's helpful since I'm an international movie star and all.
The massage was great and I can honestly say it was the best I'd ever had. Having my wife by my side, as corny as it sounds, was actually pretty cool, I mean hot. Well, you know what I mean. Lets just say we wished that we had a room at the hotel after that. After the massages, my wife went and got a pedicure while I enjoyed the steam room and the nice cushy lounge chairs. I even took a shower in a stall with about 12 shower heads. For a man who loves showers, this was heaven. I'd give the spa 5 stars for cleanliness, service and quality of massage and facilities.
Now onto the meal. Oh yes, we went all out that evening. We went to Hampton's. I tell you, we were the first one's there and we spent 2 plus hours enjoying every bite of food and drink we had. The grandparents were babysitting and we could take all the time we wanted. I could write for pages about the details of the tastes we experienced, but I won't. I'll just say that we had our typical fish and beef plates (arctic char and Beef 101) and they were great. Heck, my wife loved the bread and spreads so much they brought her out more. The wine was nice and silly us, even though it was her birthday and she was going to get a free dessert, we forgot and ordered a chocolate-pear surprise that was amazing. Then they brought out this huge truffle-like chocolate mound filled with cake and rasberries with the words happy birthday written in chocolate on the plate. mmmmmm. Finally after all that, they gave us even more chocolate with the bill. The whole time, it seemed like over 7 people tended to us, each of them knowing our names and wishing my wife a happy birthday. Oh, I forgot that we ordered an appetizer of scallops that was amazing too.
So, we spent a lot of mullah for my wife's birthday. It was worth it. We often wonder why our parents didn't treat themselves like this when they were our age, and then we look around and we are the youngest one's in the room. I suppose they were waiting for their retirement like everyone else there. I wonder if I enjoy this level of service and fair now, what level of taste and refinement will I be at 30 yrs from now? I wonder what I'll do for my wife's birthday next year?
To sum it up. If you can spare the change, it's probably one of the best spas and restaurants in the conejo valley/Ventura county area.

The new Four Seasons Hotel and Wellbeing Institute is having a buy one night, get one free promo so here I am! Sometimes I need to get away, or at least pretend to get away and this place fits the bill.42' flat screens, movies, dvd player, ipod station, Internet, room service......everything I need to veg in style, plus super puffy beds, yum!The gym here is very state of the art AND if you are staying here you can get in 24/7 when no one is there. I love the Pilate's machines! This hotel is connected to a treatment center for medical issues and there is also a spa. I would come here again if they offered more specials to locals. Well, back to my puffy bed for a snooze.

I can't really speak to the hotel itself since I did not stay there but i definitely have opinions about the businesses that inhabit this odd structure.
Ok, so first off - the exterior of this hotel made me feel like I was in some weird mid-west town rather than the bubble of Westlake Village, but upon entering the lobby, the feel completely changed. The decor is very nice with a English hunt club vibe.
We dined at Onyx for dinner. It was a Wednesday night and we had reservations but the space seemed pretty empty with only the side with the sushi bar seated and still with several empty tabels. I'm not sure if they were under-staffed or just not well-trained but service was EXTREMELY SLOW! Our waitress was very sweet and helpful with very good sggestions, but we waited far too long for everything and a sushi dinner for 4 really shouldn't take 2 hours. All the sushi on the Onyx Plate was great, very fresh and quite good. The spicy tuna/eel roll was also delicious. We also took our waitress' suggestion and ordered the whole fish, which was a red snapper served with bok choi and japanese vegetables and it was very very good as well. The prices are pretty ridiculous, if we hadn't been there due to the "September Special" which meant our food was half-priced, I never would have eaten there.... we ended up spending $172 for 3 cocktails, 3 rolls, some tempura, 1 miso, a sashimi plate, a whole fish and a bottle of saki...which was a good deal, but not worth the $300 it would normally cost us! Our waitress also made the weirdest mistake I've ever seen when splitting our bill between 2 credit cards - she put $100.67 on the card we asked her to put $100 on and then put 3 dollars OVER the remainder on the other card... even they couldn't figure out what she did or how to fix it!
The redeeming aspect (and also the reason for the 4th star) of this hotel for me was the bar - Attentive and quick service. Good drinks, delicious desserts (we had the creme brulee and dutch apple pie and both were great), cute china set-ups on the tabels if you order food and 3 billiards tables. The music they piped in was pretty weird (When sitting in a room that looks like I should be wearing a smoking jacket, I don't expect to hear "Hey Mickey" and "Hella Good") so I am definitely confused as to what their target audience here is. Prices were good though-3 beers, coffee, and 2 deserts for $44. I might return to the bar...no, I probably will return since it is Westlake and choices are so limited!
My husband and I love coming here for special occasions. We enjoy sipping cocktails in the lobby lounge overlooking the waterfall. As locals, we appreciate the service and ambient surroundings. We frequent FS properties, spending a lot of time at Aviara, so this is home for us!

I took my wife here for a surprise night away. I chose it because it was only 20 minutes from my house. But when I was there I didn't feel as if I was in L.A. Beautiful grounds and virtually no freeway noise. Upon check in, I was able to upgrade my room from the normal room to a huge suite by asking to pay an extra 100 dollars. It seems even the Four Seasons is not immune from the eceonomic troubles and are willing to upsell for even a little more. My room was awesome, beautiful sitting room, two huge bathrooms, large bedroom, three flatscreens including one in the bathroom, and a nice view of the property. We dined off property so I have no idea about the restaurants or bar. My only negatives were that the grounds began to be mowed at 7 a.m. and lasted for hours. And you can hear every bit of it. Also, the TV reception was not the greatest. Other than that, I highly recommend it and would return ( and stay on the other side of the property - the South side).
