Wow, I have terribly mixed opinions about this hotel.
First for the positive. We had unbelievable service here. The concierges (most especially Carol) were so helpful. They made the trip a great surprise. Then there were the services at the spa - massage, facial and pedi all top-notch. I have been to many great spas but never better services!
But, then there is the negative...I guess I may be spoiled with more updated Four Seasons. The beds, not so fab. I've spent way too much time in the St. Louis Four Seasons to be impressed with the decor and spacing. I know its a bit spoiled to expect a televison in the mirror, but, they could at least update the beds!
The food at the cafe was great - the pancakes and coffee for breakfast were outstanding. But, we had a hard time finding any time when people "hung out" in the tavern. It seemed a bit old and we headed down to the W hotel.
Business travel is a hassle. Plain and simple. But it's the little things that make it bearable and the Four Seasons Hotel in Atlanta has the little things down pat.
It's been about a year since I stayed here last- yet from the moment that I stepped out of the cab and handed my bag to the doorman who welcomed me back (is that just a lucky guess?) my visit was delightful. They whisper your name to the next person who is helping you through their secret headsets and suddenly the desk clerk is greeting you by name ("Welcome back, Ms. K")and has your room key jacket out and ready.
You are escorted to your room where the music is already playing, ice is in the ice bucket, the bed is turned down and a linen towel is on the floor bedside the bed so your toes never have to touch the floor.
The room, while not as fancy as some of the Four Seasons was lovely- bed linens that envelop you, a view of the city, a marble bathroom with separate shower and gilded mirrors and artwork.
The amenities were also top notch. I love the L'Occitane products in the bathroom and there was even spray starch in the closet in case you want to touch up that shirt before your morning meetings. Free wi-fi, a mini bar stocked with most anything you would want- and room service that makes you feel like a queen-if I could- I might've just moved in.
But alas- reality kicked in when the "Dream machine" alarm went off and I was up and moving- ready for another day of business travel. I hated to leave but know when I return- there will be a re-wind of this visit from the moment I step out of my cab and am greeted with "Welcome Back, Ms. K"

My husband and I didn't want to leave the city for our honeymoon, but still wanted a little get away. We booked a room here and it was wonderful.
The hotel itself is gorgeous: spacious, open, fancy. The room we had was very nice as well. Not the most fancy, nor the biggest (but it's not like we reserved a suite or anything), but it was still very nice. There was real art on the walls, not that cheap mass produced trash you find in those crappy, low-end inns and motels. The windows were big and had HUGE ledges - I was able to throw some pillows up there, and curls up with a blanket, cup of coffee and a good book and watch the little cars and traffic below.
Knowing we had just been married only hours before we arrived, the staff had left us a glass plate with chocolate covered strawberries. And hardened chocolate was drizzled on the plate to spell out "Congratulations!" Awwww - how sweet! They were so nice to us, and left a lot of little touches like that around the room - including flowers, and even a very nice hand-written card from the manager!
The restaurant downstairs has an amazing breakfast. We were married on a Tuesday night, so Wednesday morning breakfast was literally just us in the entire place. It was really romantic and yet... also mildly creepy. but the waiter was wonderful, the chef even came out to make sure everything we ordered was to our liking -- and boy was it! I had crab cakes on an English muffin with hollandaise sauce over the top -- FOR BREAKFAST! Who would have thought of something like that? It was SO good!
Also -- I may have stolen all of the extra soaps, shampoos, etc... from the room. And perhaps even asked for extra. Not because I'm a clepto or anything like that, but because they were just so nice. Also, I think they are put there for taking -- but don't quote me on that.
The only reason I give it 4 stars out of 5 is because it's not (in my mind) one of those places where you can get a room for a mini-in-town-vacation when you just "want to get away without going away". It's too fancy for that.

This is the Ritz Carlton 2.0.
It's a blessing to have places like this in Atlanta.
I just attend meetings here pretty often. I've never checked out the spa or hotel. I have had sushi rolls and spring rolls in the bar, as well as excellent wine and beverages. Very upscale and swanky.

Chocolate Buffet. Four Seasons. Here I attended a birthday celebration, during which I was introduced to the Chocolate Buffet. Yes, a buffet ... of chocolate indulgences. Luckily, the pastry chef was standing nearby and walked me through the multitude of delicacies. Such a delicious date idea! This said perfect date will run you $19 per person (a bargain!), plus champagne, of course. Alas, the Chocolate Buffet is seasonal and will only grace us with its tempting existence through March (Friday and Saturday nights until Midnight).
Absolutely stunning. It's refreshing to see elegance and sophistication amongst the collection of "high-end" establishments in this city. Even the floral arrangements in the front entryway were innovative and oh, so effective.

Excellent hotel in a great location! The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious, the bathtubs can accomodate a princess and a pirate comfortably, they use l'occitane products and the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Trois, South City Kitchen, Fuego and Vickery's and a very short drive to all the other fun spots and great restaurants in Midtown.
There are several rooms on the fifth floor that open onto a large terrace. On the down side, these are smoking optional rooms. On the upside, the terrace has many great uses.

BAR ONLY REVIEW
I didn't stay here but ended up stopping by 3 times for drinks. I'm not sure if this is the type of bar you come to if you live in the city, but it's an excellent place to come when visiting since it's pretty swanky and close to other hotels where you will most likely be staying.
Drinks are creative but all the combinations work well. I had a lemon lavendar mimosa and basil grapefruit gimlet. The house cocktails are pricey at $14 each which is probably best on the expense account but which I don't think it too much to pay in a decent bar in the city.
You also get really yummy pecans and cheesy crackers with your drink.

Excellent hotel located in midtown close to almost anything you'd need for food or entertainment - 1150, fuego, halo, etc. Staff is friendly and attentive. Rooms are gorgeous and decorated very well! I really fell in love with mine - particularly the bathroom! In striking green and marble w/ gold accents, it was realyl nice. The tub was old fashioned w/ the little feet and hose spout as well. The separate shower was great and they give you my fav l'occitane verbana for shampoo, etc.
