This is a very reasonable lodge hotel just down the road from the scary Vegas-style tourist town of Rushmore-adjacent Keystone.  You'll be happy to find yourself a short distance away from the flashing lights and presidential kitsch.

The hotel is charmingly designed with inside rooms (always makes a difference to me). I know the previous reviewer took issue with the A/C, but I'm just not expecting central air in a Best Western that runs about $125/night. What I am expecting are clean, reasonably sized rooms, friendly service, and a comfortable place to rest my head. Anything above and beyond is a bonus, and I think there are plenty of those with the free continental breakfast, pet-friendly facilities, and themed touches.

Recent construction. Spacious room. Individual HVAC unit under the window. These units are usually noisy and blow too much air across the bed. This recent model was fairly quiet but it still blew so much air that we chose to sleep in a too-warm room rather than put up with it. Minimally adequate counter space for two adults with good light at the sink. Shower control difficult to operate. Only one lamp and nightstand for two, inadequate. Big, spacious breakfast room. Adequate continental breakfast with the usual midwest white balloon bread sprayed brown to disguise it as whole wheat. Exercise room located in heated pool area where ambient temperature was at least 75 degrees, an unacceptable invitation to heat exhaustion or stroke.
