7 reviews for Four Points by Sheraton
I have been staying here for the past few weeks for work. It has been a very interesting time here. Strange things such as my toiletries being taken (management replaced then and has since replaced some housekeeping staff), rooms not being ready when they check me in, my key not working when I'm in a hurry, and phone calls from confused front desk staff after I'm asleep (thanks for that one).
But, I appreciate when an establishment has an understanding manager and genial staff, so I keep this hotel at 3 stars. After all, it is close to SFO, free and abundant parking, comfortable beds, and it is clean and inexpensive. I have one more week here, so hopefully this will stay at a solid 3*. It is what it is.

NEVER AGAIN! Worst experience ever!!! No one wants to walk into a place after an eight hour drive to find out your sheraton hotel is old, outdated and the hallways have a nasty stench to it (My how their website is Deceiving). We walked into our room that had really old carpets, a piece of plywood sticking out yet hidden right next to the curtains where someone could get their head hit/smashed into it right after they sat down, our mini fridge temperature was broken so everything in there was frozen the nxt day, our first night there our hotel key cards stopped working and we had to get new ones, the shower faucet was broken, and we requested for guest services to clean our room several times and for our whole weekend stay they NEVER CLEANED IT ONCE. Horrible accommodations, bad service.
Complained to front desk about our stay and he said the hotel wouldn't charge us and we would hear from their manager first thing in the morning. Three days later with no call from their manager they charge our credit card anyway. I finally talk to their manager and let them know our situation and how UNSATISFACTORY our stay was and all he could offer was some nonsense of 50% off your first night....SERIOUSLY, YOU CAN DO MUCH BETTER AT A HOLIDAY INN OR BEST WESTERN AND RECEIVE FREE BREAKFAST THERE TOO!

So obviously, I did not have hotel experiences during my travels this week. I was stuck in SFO for the night and needed a place close because I had a flight out first thing in the morning - early.
Pretty standard - small and cramped room with boring decor. The staff look like they are miserable to be there and have no personalities... kind of like drones.
Toiletries were bad... they were some private label generic brand. Shampoo did not later, conditioner didn't do anything for me and they were shea butter scented, but did not smell anything like it. The packaging was nice though. One of the hand towels had a hole in it.
I enjoyed a nice cup of tea in the morning :)
If you need a place to lay your head for the night, this is a good place. The shuttle bus will take you right to the airport in the morning, and comes about every 20 minutes.

This is an old Sheraton ... but good for seasoned travelers looking for something close to the airport. If you're paying with points, it's cheaper then most. Checked in pretty early (at 10:00 am) without a wait, which is often times a problem when you fly in from Asia.
Internet is free and that's a big plus, but figuring out how to connect to it was a hassle. Lots of channels and big heater in the room to warm it up fast. It's an older building, but they definitely make an effort to keep it well maintained. Don't bother with the slow as molasses elevator ... just take the stairs.

I give it a 2 out of 5, but if you're looking for a place to stay on a budget, then this might be a good choice. I mean, it's better than a motel, but not exactly a hotel. This just isn't a hotel to have a romantic week at a "nice hotel". Gets the job done, though.
I stayed here on occasion while flipping hotels to get some extra stays. Maybe 4 or 5 nights here spread through a few months, but I think I got the gist of it.
---Parking---
Free.
---Area---
Kind of sketchy.
---Food---
Never tried room service. Not much around the area, unless you know where to look.
---Internet---
Free.
---Cleanliness---
Could be better, but definitely livable.

Some douchebag was holding up the check-in line by complaining about the renovation going on. He wanted to be comped by being sent to another hotel...with a room upgrade. The renovations were confined to a limited space in the lobby. And they had funny signs about the renovations apologizing for the mess. You couldn't hear ANY noise once on another floor. He really was a douchebag whiner.
We got a renovated room on the tenth floor. It was definitely upgraded, (a 45inch flat screen tv!!???!?! WOOT!) clean new everything including linens.
The new vanity in the bathroom was a bit high, I guess people are getting taller, but it was cool looking. The towels and robe were a bit scratchy, but I'd rather have scratchy bleached clean than soft, questionably clean linens. The indoor pool was open 24 hours and was a perfect temp for a 1:30 am dip. The spa was very very hot, just like I love it, but it may be a bit much for others.
There's a public shore just beyond the garage, which was perfect for dog walking...NO CHARGE for having the dog in the newly renovated room.
I slept well, despite the soft bed, and the blackout drapes were kind to my sleepy eyes.

I think based on the other reviews this place has been remodeled recently. It was clean, inexpensive, and comfortable. The room had a large desk and a couch and sitting chair and plenty of outlets for plugging stuff in. Parking was free as was the wifi. Convenient to the airport with plenty of places to find a quick bite and gas for your rental car. You're about 50 yards away from the 101 though so if you're a light sleeper you may notice. Otherwise I would recommend this four points to anyone needing a place to knock out a night or two.
